If only this guy was as good of a manager as he is a politician. Proper United hire of the past 11 years.

He's gone from not using the injuries as an excuse, to never shutting up about them in a very short space of time.

The heat is clearly on.

You said he's a bust, I don't know why you're now begging. If he's a bust he's out one way or another.
That assumes some level of competency in the club’s management. Such an assumption does not seem a sound one based on recent years.

If he stays no doubt we will still be seeing the likes of Antony, AWB, Obama, Maguire & Casemiro starting in the first game of next season.
Tbf Maguire has been one of our strongest players this season, whilst most of the other CB’s have been on the treatment table.

Right so INEOS are incompetent if they choose to keep him, only the mighty redcafe posters know best.

Ineos have barely been here a few months by the way, let alone years.

And some of these fans have been here for decades.

I could definitely see this Bayern thing happening as it may just suit all parties. Ten Hag gets out of the mess of our club currently to a team that, although seems a bit sketchy at board room level, is undoubtedly in a better current position than us for success. And INEOS get a decision taken out of their hands and a clean break to bring someone in suited to exactly to what they want to do. Currently if they keep him, it will likely be with conditions that he has to change certain things which could be a square peg in a round hole.

I'm by no means 'Ten Hag Out', our current position is more nuanced than "shit manager", though he does bring his own problems. But I wouldn't be devastated with a move like this either.

A new manager isn’t going to change that, they’ll still be starting. It’s just football manager

It will be a show of incompetence if we going into next season playing the exact same way with the same issues.

Especially if he gets sacked in October/November with us hovering around 7th/8th. Then you are basically writing another season off.

An amicable parting of the ways this summer is better for all parties.

Our football is as shit as it ever was under LvG, Mourinho and Ole.
But yeah, let's keep him. He's bald.

For me, I am more interested in how we do in the summer transfer window. It can tell if the structure starts getting better. I want to see high potential young players able to contribute but not overpriced.

If they conclude differently to you, it's more than likely it's because they have better information on the situation.

From the Athletic back to last August.

If you play the same tune over and over and over again, don't you think that becomes a problem? A thing that may have done well last year could also not work so well this year. Even if the finger can be pointed to the medical staff, Ten Hag has to carry his share of the burden because of the attrition he created himself. It's the manager's job TO ADAPT to the situation.
That was last August. The training program in pre-season was indeed brutal to get the squad match fit. Most clubs do very intense training after the summer break.

Not enough to base any conclusions on.

The last 11 years proves our general shit structure.
no doubt there is multiple issues. But having the right manager in place is massively important, and whilst I think lots of players in this squad need moved on, the way he’s set up is suicidal

I’d bet good money that the ETH to Bayern rumours are coming from his agent. Probably in the hope that it scares INEOS into not sacking him,
You would lose your money.
He was a youth coach at Bayern under Pep. They will know him well, and be confident he can deliver. This is absolutely a genuine link.

Imagine being behind Ragnick on the list though!

Would be good for all parties if he was to go in my opinion.

Changing managers now or after the FA Cup is going to leave us with very little time to bring someone in and get them involved in the recruitment. We've been down that road before with Moyes taking a holiday & LVG not arriving until after the World Cup.

It seems like a decision to continue with ETH (barring a complete disaster over the next four games) has been made. The focus seems to be on appointing Ashworth et al to ensure we have the right people above the coach. Then in time the new CEO and DOF etc can make that call. While fans are of course impatient the owners and management team should be working to a longer-term plan.

Save us from ourselves bayern. With your bizarrely awful shortlist.

Lucky Southgate or potter don’t speak German or they’d be all over them too

Let‘s not pretend Tottenham deserved to win that tie. They took advantage of a gassed team.
The stats suggest otherwise.

Ajax 2-3 Spurs:

41% possession vs 59% possession
16 shots vs 24 shots
4 shots on target vs 7 shots on target
11 shots inside box vs 20 shots inside box
2 big chances vs 7 big chances
1 big chance missed vs 6 big chances missed
1 hit woodwork vs 2 hit woodwork
386 passes vs 557 passes
74% passing accuracy vs 81% passing accuracy

Spurs fully deserved their win on the night.

Attacking measured by goals scored, seems we have scored quite a few goals. Its not been pretty I agree but doesn’t change the fact we haven’t been limp. Its a false narrative
As I said we can all describe it how we want. Many games where we've struggled to score, we've only won 4 games all season by more than 1 goal. There's only been 7 games in the league where we've scored 3 or more goals. Our current goal difference is +1 after 34 games. We're the lowest scorers in the top half of the table. All 7 teams above us have scored 20-40 goals more than us.

How I'd describe that is Limp.

Bayern hiring him as a head coach could be a stroke of genius. They'd be gaining thousands of new fans who would be taking their services to Bavaria with him.

This is more than just a managerial appointment. Think of the financial gains they could make.

As I said, we were gassed. 2-0 up but got overrun in the second half. It happens.
