I have plus premium for the next 3 months, any hidden gems I should try? I don't like multiplayer.

For a game thread in general really but I have a PS5 so... Anyway for you AC fans:

Looks like Japan? I skipped Mirage so my last experience was Valhalla which while enjoyable dragged on way too long and was so much for drab and dreary compared to Odyssey.

Right trigger on controller has broken, guess i have to send it for repair. Long time out of warranty at this point so not sure if its worth paying over just buying a new one :(

The controllers are noticably worse this gen. I've had stick drift on three of them so far, usually just after the warranty expires.

Its a bit annoying, i haven't used it that much. Support for it on PC took a long time to come in so its pretty recent I've been using it there and i just haven't played that many games on the playstation. I dont really like it in general either, it feels uncomfortable to use over long periods and I'd normally turn vibration off so thats not a big selling point. I'm half tempted to use a wonky controller while playing ps5 games and buying a controller i actually like for pc gaming. Or just going back to an xbox controller. I think i have a 360 controller somewhere and im pretty sure that'll still work. So yeah, annoying.
Do you remember how much it cost?

I think it was about £27 at CEX to repair.

I modded my controller to add paddles, but when I took one apart it turns out they're very simple inside and pretty modular in nature. The parts are easily available online. Always worth trying to fix yourself first.

They're relatively easy to fix yourself. The spring inside has broken. You can buy the springs yourself and install it. Don't pay anybody to do this.

Pre ordered Sw outlaws as my next PS5 game. Not even into open world games, these days but I love the IP so much I thought why not.

Just a shame the greedy cnuts have put a paywall behind some missions with a season pass.

Officially the best poker player on RAWK.
Anyone played Stellar Blade yet? Bought it other day only managed to get an hour on it so far but seems like it’ll be a fun game.
Demo was good fun.... Nier vibes
It's decent, nothing groundbreaking. The gameplay suffers from not knowing what it really is and the story is standard fare, but it has it's charms.

The other day I posted abut pre ordering SW outlaws. It was the disc version. Problem is I have a digital PS5...

I'm losing it in my old age.

How did you even get as far as ordering a disc? I'm assuming you haven't done it for a while as you'd be buying digital

I was going to order it for my xbox but for some reason I switched it. It took me days to notice this.

So, we now know of one game sale Sony are missing out because I can't use that detachable disc drive for my PS5!

I had held off from playing a few major titles on PS Plus as I didn’t want to exhaust the library of such games too fast. But I gave in and started Returnal. I didn’t realise that it was a Sony published game, or that it would feel so damn good. Only 2 hours in and I’ll probably eventually struggle with it given it’s a roguelike/lite, but games that are brilliantly put together stand out so much. The combat is great but the sound design is what is so striking as well as the use of the dual sense.

Despite being a launch title it’s probably still the best feeling ps5 game for me, best use of the dual sense and sound. It’s great, if infuriating at times.

Returnal is my favourite 'most disliked' game. I love the graphics, I fecking love the sound design, I love the controls, I adore the atmosphere, I love the gunplay. It's just such a shame that it's wrapped up in that roguelike/lite package. I found it too frustrating to persevere with. I don't feel that it's the sort of game that respects your time. You could play 5 or 6 hours on this, die once, and then have to restart the entire thing from scratch, spending more hours just to get back to where you once were. I didn't really feel there was any need to go down this route.

My wife put more time into it than I did and got pretty far into it, and in the end she gave up, too. I question just how many people actually got to the end of this. I didn't feel that it was rewarding enough. The gains didn't seem to weigh up with the time needed to be sunk into it.

Beat it and saw all 3 endings, still go back for the tower and just to shoot shit. It's an evergreen...

Yeah I didn't finish this either. Think I was in Biome 4 or 5 and just moved on to something else then never came back to it. Maybe I should pick it up again now there's feck all out.

I’m hoping turning aim assist will help me in case I’m stuck in the future but it’s so darn good to play.

Theres a thread for it somewhere that has a lot of good tips.
Thanks, I tried to find it but couldn’t. Will look again.

Just died (not counting the first death) for the first time - reached the sentient on the second biome but he did too much damage for me.

Tried returnal because of this thread, I have no idea what is going on but if the aim of the game is to die, then I am the greatest.
