Do any of you really think with 10 first team players out, any other manager could really have the team performing? Injuries have well and truly fecked us this season and for people to ignore that is just silly. Bring in any manager next season, give them the teams injury crisis and they won't do much better in all honesty.
ETH bought Antony, Höjlund, Eriksen, Mount and Casemiro. How are they performing? I agree that another manager will not get much out of these players but the point is that a new manager will sign better players.

Was having a great exchange with a random United fan at the pub. He left. I am left to face the second half alone. I can only imagine how the away fans feel right now. You guys are better fans than I will ever be. Although at least I am staying for the second half. There is no hope. None.

The fecking nerve of this, "pay him out so we can get the Bayern job". Just do what they do in Italy, keep him on the books but remove him from the managers position and let Bayern pay him out if they want him.
Yep. At the point I'd be a bit disgusted if we pay him off knowing he's jumping right into another big job. Force Bayern to pay for him if they want him. Hire a proper manager and put him on gardening leave.

Regardless of the manager, I don’t think we should be seeing Casemiro or Eriksen in a United shirt again next season. Good guys who played well for us last season but they can’t run. And this is the most physical league in the world. Evans as well probably.

The new manager next season has a hell of a job to do sorting this out.

Come off it, mate. Tired of excuses for this fraud. We've looked shit from the summer friendlies, Wolves hammered us with all our squad fit, Brighton hammered us with all their back live out injured. He is lucky he has injuries as an excuse because he really isnt good enough
Wolves hammered us while the players were not even fully fit, available yes, fully fit no. The injuries have been constant since September. No manager would be doing good with the injuries this season, none.

No they may not have them performing, but they would set the team up accordingly to deal with it. Whereas he persists with the tactics that leave us criminally open in the middle of the park.

Don’t know whether it’s stubbornness or ineptitude, but either shows he’s unfortunately not the level we require.

Crystal Palace is salivating over the high press. 5 to 6 committed at all times.

We just continue to try and play through it, 4v6 or 4v5, no adjustments.

I will say the injuries have hurt us this match. The way Evans was done on that 2nd goal was criminal. I don’t think Varane or Maguire would’ve let him through. Casemiro had to come out because Mainoo and Eriksen were too far forward. Missed the tackle and Evans came over too late.
tactics! He can set the team up with the same personnel but tell them how to play with each other. I just can’t understand how a team with no defenders aren’t playing tighter or closer together. It’s clear the press is high, so release the ball overhead or out wide. Keep the back 4 and the middle 2 near to kill off their overload. It’s a piss take we’re this poor.

Have you even seen the back line? It's all defenders.

So your question is essentially do I think that, say, Pep Guardiola or Carlo Ancelotti are better managers than Erik ten Hag? I'll have to have a good think about that one.

Hojlund and Mount are not fully fit from injury but have to play because we have no one else. Eriksen and Casemiro are on their last legs, they can't even run anymore, but again no one else is available so they have to play. Antony - no excuses for him, he is absolute garbage.

There's 'performing' and there's playing as bad as this ALL SEASON.

It's shambolic.

IF we lose this. And we most likely will. The most points we can get is 63.

For Context, our season with Moyes we finished on 64.
Would require us to win 3 games in a row. How many times have we done that this season?

Roll on the end of the season.

Pretty much from day 1 it's been woeful when Wolves utterly played us off the pitch at home.

At least last season gave us the romanticism of some Ronaldo goals. This season has to be down there with the worst season in decent memory.

Sir Jim should stop worrying about the desk of IT workers and wake the feck up. He needs to go ASAP and we need to act on a new coach immediately.
Seriously, who gives a feck about IT workers? They are secondary or even tertiary in a football club.

They might try and set us up to offer the threadbare defence some protection.

I said it before and no one took it seriously. We’re going to finish 8th. The lowest position since the great man retired.

His shameless 'one foot out the door' interviews this week just shows how much of a self serving prick he is. Nothing but excuses, covering his own arse while flashing it at Bayern. If we pay him out its a disgrace. Bayern or Ajax can get their hand in their pockets and find the cash.

Has Pep ever had an injury crisis like this? His available second 11 are better than 17 teams in the league. Ancelotti, how did he do at Everton again?

I'm not watching FA Cup final with him in charge. It will be a pure torture. I will do better painting my wall and watch it dry.

And it totally flatters us. Based on performances it should have been a bottom half finish.

the things is id gladly see onana, dalot, martinez, shaw, mainoo, mount, garnacho, hojlund, diallo, and fernadnes as part of the team/squad in the next couple of years.

There isnt the same 'open heart surgery' need as post previous managers. We need 3-4 more quality players, no doubt, but we have good players. this season has been an absolute disaster.

Do managers ever resign? I’d probably resign if I was in charge of this. That goes for some of the players as well.
Yep. Usually international ones after exiting a tournament. Clubs are more rare because of money, though Lvg tried to

Is ETH's training causing the injuries?

He has been so bad in every other aspect of the game, that it wouldn't surprise me if his training is also shit. And he is a stubborn manager, he wouldn't change his training even if his staff are telling him that it his training is causing these injuries. He believes he knows better, like he knows Antony is unstoppable, while everyone else says that Antony is not good enough.

It is quite worrying that our new guys doesn`t have the balls to just throw him out head first, get an interim in for the last few games and then let Berrada and Ashworth figure something out for the more long term.
As bad as we have been a few times post SAF, i can not remember midtable teams take the piss against us.
Just extraordinary bad from the manager.
