Alexis Sanchez | Done deal

Guillem really doesn't come off well in those tweets

It's no secret he would rather him go to City but to say "Pep or Money" is quite unprofessional and is showing unnecessary bias to Guardiola

If it was the other way around it definitely wouldn't say "Mourinho or money"

I can't see ballbags tweets. Does that mean he's blocked me?

Could be. Ballbag claiming Alexis only want City move and the choice is Pep or Money.

Makes no sense what so ever. When United and City want you, its about more than money. Stupid ballbag. Its hate, because most players would rate United a bigger club. Current standings in the league has notting to do about it.

City are trying to make excuses if Sanchez doesn't join them. Money isn't the issue here. If Sanchez joins United it's because we proposed a better project and convinced him to join.

It's quite clear from the leaks that money is the issue.

Simon Stone reaffirmed Alexis wants to join City (did not mention United). City don't want to pay more than £20m and won't be willing to do so - it's an attempt to force Arsenal's hand and it may or may not work. If doesn't, that doesn't necessarily mean he's automatically off to United either.

Not sure if posted.

Could be wrong but I'm pretty sure he's talking with a lot of authority on something he actually knows little concrete info on. Di Marzio and his sources are far more reliable than club fed journos like this guy.

Fecking hate ballbag, he absolutely has it in for us considering he is a massive fanboy of the Spanish big two, and also a Liverpool fan of all things.

Always a cringefest when they invite the ballsack to the Noggie PL-studio.

Agree actually.

The idea of him making out that City are some kind of romantic underdog up against a financial bully is nauseating. Completely overlooking the source of City's current success and the history of the two clubs.

Still keeping calm over this, if he is as fixed on joining City as the last 3 months of press would let us believe then he'll wait another few months and sign on a free, gaining those free agent bonuses too. That could still feel like a good option to him we don't know.

It could also anger him that again the deal hasn't gotten over the line and after pushing so hard to get out of Arsenal, spending another 5 months there may be too embarrassing for him. We are, it seems, offering a way out this month. That could be alluring.

Cheers.
Ballbag is exactly that.
I tortured him on Twitter last summer.

We know that city won't concede over money.

This has all the signs of what Madrid did with Pogba " oh we won't pay over the odds, if he wants to play for us he will choose us not the money offer"

Then suddenly they drop out as it turns out they've lost. Seriously Sanchez has no more reason to choose Pep over Jose. If anything he's worked for him before, probably thinks he's a knob.

Completely agree, this is how I see it at the moment.

Balague's argument is the most simple black/white argument I have seen in a while. There are other factors than money and the manager, you dimnut.

City bid £60m and was ready to pay agent fee just a few months ago. Now, they're not willing to pay £35m and the agent fee, not minding if he ends up here, of all places.

The whole package still has to be lower than what they would initially pay in the summer. Doesn't add up imo.
Well, all of their current starters in attack have been performing better than him since then, so there's that element.

Press conference is coming very soon, Jose will be asked about Sanchez, will they keep it embargoed or not i do not know.

This could actually be on now that City are backtracking on this

On which date in January did we sign Mata in that Moyes season?

Has it ever been confirmed that Sanchez loves Saint Pep?
It seems to be based on nothing but assumptions to create a narrative.

Think he clearly wants to work with Guardiola - I've no problem with that. He's clearly a massive draw and I'm sure most players would want to be in that City team right now.

But the idea that United are some sort of tinpot option offering nothing more than money - sorry but that's nonsense. If we were the only ones bidding for Sanchez, he'd jump at the chance to move from Arsenal to us.

Didn't he say the same sorts of things after we'd signed Pogba? After claiming he only wanted to go to Real Madrid all summer

What the feck is he up to?! We are a bigger club than City, regardless if SAF is our manager or not.

He can't accept that a player may want to play somewhere else other than under Pep or his Spanish babies in Madrid or Barca.

Does not compute with him

That's a good question. I'd like to think with City briefing an hour ago that the journos will tweet out new stuff as they come out in the press conference.

Did he mention that in his video?
Yep. Said United dont mind paying agents big money and that we paid Riola 20m for the Pogba transfer.

Not the most credible guy. And I have no idea who Sam Lee is anyway,

The idea that fecking city can sit there and shake their head at money being spent is fecking ludicrous.

If it wasn't for oil money they'd probably be in the championship by now.

When City spent £100m on two full-backs, the media responded by praising City's ruthlessness - for knowing what they wanted, not negotiating and getting the players.

No mention of the fact that both were overpriced.

Well, all of their current starters in attack have been performing better than him since then, so there's that element.

Yeah, get that. Was just commenting on their briefing to journalists and the general idea atm it's only down to money. It isn't. If this does happen it will be about us wanting/needing him more.

Exactly, we have more to offer than money. Whilst City can offer him a title immediately should he join now. We can still challenge next season if we get the right players in. I can’t see city repeating this super freak season they’re having this year.
