Very impressive.

But he does look quite chubby doesnt he?
Is he known for being a top professional or are there problems in this regard?
I would say he looks quite built for his age. The way he moves doesn't look like a person carrying a high percentage of fat.

I know it's a Endrick thread, but just to mention other very promising brazilian players:

Marcos Leonardo(Santos) - very good finisher. Not really a dribbler or playmaker, but extremely effective at finding space and scoring. He plays for one of the worst teams this year and yet is one of the top scorers in Brasileirão).

Beraldo(São Paulo) - a defender with the technique of a 10. Great touch, pressing resistance and passing. He's a bit slow, but has a very good defensive awareness and positioning. More a City type of player tbh.

Pablo Maia(São Paulo) - similar to Casemiro(not the current form); great defensively and has a nice shot from mid range.

Luis Guilherme(Palmeiras) - left-footed winger; one of the best dribblers of the new harvest(Angelo is also very good).

Kevin(Palmeiras) - a playmaker who operates on the left wing; great dribbling, crossing and link up plays.
Buy them all, we need a new team next season

What’s your opinion on Estevao Willian, overall and in comparison to Endrick.
I haven't seen much of him to give you an opinion, unfortunately.

Luis Guilherme(Palmeiras) - left-footed winger; one of the best dribblers of the new harvest(Angelo is also very good).
I don't know how I forgot Wesley(Corinthians); this boy is going to be a world class dribbler. The way he changes directions in tight spaces is impressive; it looks like he has no pelvis. His decision making still poor and he's very individualistic, but if he fixes this he'll become a very dangerous player.

Does he? He looks incredibly strong and muscled to me, especially at 17 years old.

He looks superb. Madrid’s stock piling of the best talent is annoying as always. Oh well at least it’s not City or Liverpool snapping such a major talent up.
They've been forced to pivot from galácticos to the stars of tomorrow due to oil money. It's arguably to their benefit as they've enjoyed a very successful period doing this.

They have the glamour to attract the best kids from Spain and South America. More power to them.

Has there ever been any doubt that he’s a special talent? He was tearing it up at 16 in everything he played in, and the only question was whether his physicality gave him a big advantage in youth football. But that has translated to men’s football. He’s still one of the fastest and strongest on the field, and his technique is superb. He’s only 17. Kid is gonna be special.

Madrid with a front six of Endrick, Viniscius, Rodrygo, Bellingham, Camavinga, and Tchouameni are absolutely set for many years. Plus Valverde is 25, and no doubt they’ll make some other signings. May still sign Mbappe on a free this summer ffs. Talk about squad planning. Everything is completely the opposite to United.

Been called up by Brazil for the world cup qualifiers v Colombia and Argentina so can see him getting some minutes off the bench.

Would be Brazil's youngest full international since Ronaldo perhaps?

The bottlejob continues, 2 more games lost, with the lastest going from 3-1 to 3-4.

Got 26 minutes accumulated across two games, and proceeded to do square root of nothing, mainly due to Brazil being bang average at best.

This for me is the issue with players like this lad, until we see him play at a higher standard we won't ever truly know if he is actually special. So far he has scored 15 senior goals, for comparison at the same age near enough Rooney had 17 in the Premiership playing for Everton!

Mainoo is a good example of if you’re good enough you’re old enough. Something to think about when the next teenage gem comes along at any of our clubs.

I’m encouraged by Ratcliffes comments about finding the next Mbappe rather than the current one

Because I envy signings Madrid make like this more than when they get Mbappe this summer. Still bothers me we dropped the ball on Bellingham and Haaland

We need to be going big on these teenage players who are obviously going to be very fecking good. Nothing better than seeing that journey

Waited until today to score his first goal just to honour Mainoo's international debut, what a lad

Should've scored again at the end, but oh well. As they say "take a bow son".

He’s got that 50s/60s Pele/Eusebio aesthetic going on.

Other than his goal, I saw nothing special at all. However, it is the first time I've watched him.
Some of you guys are INCREDIBLY hard to please. He's 17 for the love of Christ and he scores his first international goal in Wembley.

Joe Cole said it after the game and thought the same as soon as saw him one time down the left hand side. Obviously we didnt see muc of him in this game, but the build, body movement....can see hints of Romario in him if he goes on to be half the player he will be a huge star

It's a pretty daft statement regardless. He came on with 20 minutes to go, what more did you expect him to do?
A daft statement because I wasn't impressed with what he did on the ball? Behave!

Kobbie was on for a shorter amount and looked 10 times the player on the ball.

However, as I said in my original post before anyone else gets their knickers in a twist, it is the first time I've watched him so it's hard to make a judgement.

He will arrive at Real Madrid with 18 years old, already has played what, 70 professional matches for a top club in Brazil and South America, in this case Palmeiras.

People just need to chill out (not you), I remember what was said regarding Vinicius before he joined Real Madrid and he is what it is today, the kid has all the tools to become a top player for Brazil.

Is a joke? Romario is a pure technique

endrick is a pure force/power like adriano.

And if it doesn’t work out, we could always sell him to United/Juve/Chelsea for an even higher fee! :wenger:

No idea what we’re gonna get. But won’t be judging him too harshly. Took Vini a season or two/three to get going.
