When did I say I believed. Only when a player is signed do I believe. I might say what I read in the media just to start something here, but that is no proof I believe it.

Obviously to a ‘fat bird’ he isYou might not be so good looking as you think !
Yup and he will probably end up paying what they want or more if we inevitably end up with another injury in the next 3 games. All this time haggling over the deal is valuable time that could have been spent letting Bruno settle in and get ready for the tough season run in, if we just get it done sooner. Just silly management from the board with top 4 up for grabs and all the CL/sponsorship dosh that brings with it.
You realise it's an analogy about United buying British playing, right?Obviously to a ‘fat bird’ he is
Maybe the fat bird is having to settle for him too after not pulling for 10 weeks in a row and is thinking "This ugly lad will do."Obviously to a ‘fat bird’ he is
Yeah this could be true. I also think the deal is close. I think they are probably just apart on the clauses. The reason why we don't simply "fork up" the money Sporting are asking is because we are going shopping again in the summer for Maddison, Sancho and Grealish, and the Bruno transfer will be used as a benchmark. Sancho will not be affected, but Grealish and Maddisons price guaranteed will be. The club is 1) trying to avoid setting a precedent where the selling club can set any price they will and we will simply pay it. 2) Avoiding setting a too high benchmark to start fee negotiations for the british players who will command a homegrown tax on top of their already hefty pricetag.
Sporting are looking out for number one more than they are the player at this stage, which they honestly can, but as long as the player has agreed terms this is starting to look like negotiations in bad faith.
It could be that the glaziers don’t want to invest more as they are looking to sell?We are in desperate need of players, a good piece of business could secure us top 4. I honestly think that if we do no business, it's the first clear sign that Woodward has lost confidence in Ole and is lining up a replacement.
A scenario which highlights the incompetence in how the club is being run.
I think your are giving our board too much credit, based on what smart clever strategy under Ed and Judge over the last 6 years can you believe that scenario to be remotely accurate. The reason why we don't simply "fork up" the money Sporting are asking is because we are going shopping again in the summer for Maddison, Sancho and Grealish, and the Bruno transfer will be used as a benchmark. What a dreamer. Not a hope Sancho ends up on this sinking ship. The reason why we don't simply "fork up" the money Sporting are asking is because we are going shopping again in the summer for Maddison, Sancho and Grealish, and the Bruno transfer will be used as a benchmark. I'd imagine Fernandes is quite low down the list of targets, by all accounts we' much rather have Maddison or Grealish.Serious question, but do United actually have scouts? Surely we should have multiple targets lined up for every position and not just the obvious high priced names.

You need to get real, we aren't doing this, even if the will was there, then how attractive are we going to look if we bumble through the rest of the season as we are doing and finish 6th/7th?The reason why we don't simply "fork up" the money Sporting are asking is because we are going shopping again in the summer for Maddison, Sancho and Grealish, and the Bruno transfer will be used as a benchmark. They only have one more game before the transfer window closes in total.Tweet

There were numerous outlets being briefed in the summer that United had set-up a new information database that has all the bells and whistles when identifying individual players for a specific role. Its because of this new system that United went on and signed up Bissaka after going through numerous other options (I don't have the number but it was alot from what I remember).Serious question, but do United actually have scouts? Surely we should have multiple targets lined up for every position and not just the obvious high priced names.
Never mind. You bring this up, not me. We know why he took the job. Of course not for that. But I am sure that he will be „happy with what he has“.Yeah I’m sure that’s why he took the job, just to lie to the fans and cripple the club he loves. Makes perfect sense mate
You think United are an ugly proposition for foreign players?Maybe the fat bird is having to settle for him too after not pulling for 10 weeks in a row and is thinking "This ugly lad will do."
Take a look in the transfer forum and see that we are linked with a lad from Birmingham.Serious question, but do United actually have scouts? Surely we should have multiple targets lined up for every position and not just the obvious high priced names.

With all due respect what you've written whilst it might sound logical in some way is obviously not based in any reality what so ever. Historic transfers should tell you that alone but I'll be interested to hear examples if you think there's any.The reason why we don't simply "fork up" the money Sporting are asking is because we are going shopping again in the summer for Maddison, Sancho and Grealish, and the Bruno transfer will be used as a benchmark. It's hard to believe when you're only targeting exotic unreachable birds when going overseas, but only fat birds when going local.Obviously. It's a two way street.
United wanted non-British players. But the ones we targetted didn't want us back.
I never understand why fans think champions league is the be all and end all. Both Sancho and Maddison will have and probably want the opportunity to play CL football next season, which we likely won't be able to offer even with Bruno, nevermind without him.
Foreign players prioritise champions league football so it is important, if we aren’t offering it in the summer the championship and bottom half of the premiership is where we will be dining.I never understand why fans think champions league is the be all and end all.
It might be a deal breaker in say city v United but it certainly isn't going to keep a player at Leicester over United as long as we pay the fee.
There's no way Maguire would have stayed just because of champions league.
What made those foreign targets unreachable but the British targets reachable? It's hard to believe when you're only targeting exotic unreachable birds when going overseas, but only fat birds when going local.
A few games in one cup or an extra 50-100k a week. I think your romanticism is misplaced.Foreign players prioritise champions league football so it is important, if we aren’t offering it in the summer the championship and bottom half of the premiership is where we will be dining.
? Don't be shy now...say something.
Not just romance pal, I saw an Iwobi payslip the other day and his fa cup win bonus was £750, prem was £20k, not sure what his champion league bonus would have been because he weren’t getting any . Foreign players sure as shit aren’t coming for the magic of the fa cup that’s for damn sure.A few games in one cup or an extra 50-100k a week. I think your romanticism is misplaced.
