Carabao Cup 2022/23

It's our to lose. Hope ETH takes this opportunity to end the trophy drought seriously, and plays a full strength team. We need silverware!

I really think we should do the right thing and allow Henderson to play against us. There is nothing wrong with showing some goodwill and compassion. Let the world know we are the good guys.

It is not right thing. It is stupid thing to do especially if he does well at the end. Rules are rules.

Feck that

Not sure if you’re serious. Screw Henderson. He was quite clear his feelings on the club and was clearly leaking info from the dressing room. It’s actually deliciously ironic that he finds himself in this position.

Feck him

Even if he’s not injured, there’s zero upside to letting him play. If he’s playing out of his skin, we’re screwed. If he makes mistake, people will doubt his allegiance. Zero positive.

We will hardly get a better chance to win a trophy - yes, Newcastle are a good side - but we really should beat them, if we play them in the final. Forest over 2 legs - no way we will lose that.

We can also get minutes in legs for McT, Sancho, Maguire, Lindelof, WW, Pellistri over both legs. Really need to get some benefit out of it being a two legged tie.

After 6 years, my desire for United to win the Carabao Cup far exceeds the level of the trophy. I'm desperate for it. On par with the FA Cup this would be for me, considering the circumstances (Ten Hags first season, trophy drought, small squad)

Just watching sky sports there, everyone connected with Newcastle is acting like they've already won the league cup.

For that reason alone, I would love to see Southampton smash them to pieces tonight.

I have no idea how a team that doesn't score goals is supposed to beat a team that doesn't concede. We need to thank Saints for the favor in the previous round and take care of the Arabs ourselves in the final.

Now that is how you avoid a kit clash. Well done Newcastle.

Agreed. That City vs. Southampton game in the last round where it was white vs light yellow was shocking.

What happened to the rule where if you receive treatment after an opponent is booked you don't have to leave the pitch? Refs don't see to apply it anymore.

They have better underlying data than us unfortunately (xG, xGA, Goals, PPDA, High turnovers etc etc). On current form they're a better side than us.

The quality has been quite bad in this match, just a lot of running around with misplaced passes.

Newcastle are absolutely dreadful to watch. How has Howe made them defensively sound but painfully average in the attacking department? The complete opposite of his peak at Bournemouth.

People don't talk enough about how much of a resemblance Trippier has to Gavin from Gavin and Stacey. Carbon copy.

That looked like a fair goal to me
