Barcelona are missing a quick winger who can stretch the play and give some width. Dembele should solve it when he comes back.

Also another thing is that the Barca midfield seems very slow. Again Coutinho should solve this and I assume will eventually take over from Iniesta. Say what you want but I reckon Wilshere would do a good job for Barcelona.

Come has got his team set up perfectly for a game against Barca. I'm sure morata will make an appearance in the last half an hour though.

Barcelona have a hole in midfield since Xavi left, when they were at their best there was no point pressing them high as they'd always be able to escape it but that's not the case anymore. When they're able to push Chelsea back they look very threatening as Chelsea don't have anyone that can hold the ball up.

I think both teams would take a 0-0 draw tbh.

Amazing performance by Chelsea. So many people playing so well. Willian, Hazard, Moses, Alonso, Kante, Azpilicueta....

The best team today.

I would like to reiterate that hitting the bar is not a great shot, and is as useful as skying it into row Zed
Wtf ? Did you not see how it lifted the Chelsea team when Willian hit the first post and how it helped them finish the half better than they started it ? About as useful as skying it, right..

Anyone know how Bayern are playing this year? Don't watch the Bundesliga.

Would they come unstuck vs a better team?

Did you really enjoy anything Chelsea brought to the table?
No but they became surely better by the end of the half. They started really poorly not trying anything except defending but by the end they got the most interesting chances. They're not an exciting or enjoyable team by any means but that's not their strength.

Barca started the half possessing the ball well but as the time goes on, they really did feck all with it. So boring.

Barca look very limited in games like this when Messi doesn't have the ball. do they have at least one player that can dribble like Hazard or shoot like William or Alonso?
Dembele and Coutinho. Dembele hasn't been great for the last few matches I've seen him and Coutinho can't play in the CL.

0-0 is a good result for Barça so Paulinho will probably stay on the pitch. Rakitic already has a yellow and Iniesta will probably come off as he he gets tired.

Paulinho should be taken out and another forward should be added. He looks useless while they have possession today.

I want everyone to stop for a second, and realize the futility of arguing over a shot that hit the post, and did feck all to the result.

Paulinho has been shite. You need to stretch Chelsea's wingbacks and keep the width. Dembele if he's half fit would do better for this kind of game.

Wait, are we still calling Barcelona (and Spain) and their style of play "boring"? It's the way the opposition have to set up to counter it which makes the matches boring. When teams actually play football against them it makes for amazing matches.

If you're bored then blame Chelsea for getting 11 men behind the ball and plugging the gaps.

If only you didn't feel the urge to start a discussion, over something, you are absolutely convinced is useless and pointless

They would want to go back to the Camp Nou with a score draw at least.

You're the one imaging people arguing about it affecting or not the result. Who are you trying to school here ? We all know a shot hitting the post isn't a goal ffs. We can still talk about how it affected the game without affecting the scoreline. By trying to be wise, you're displaying some weird logic.

Yeah when teams play exactly how Barca want them to play they look great...

Teams play they way they do because of Barcas obsessive passing, not the other way around.

Great first 10m, then all Barca for 15 and then swing back solidly to us. Fairly sure I’ve gained a dozen new grey hairs already, but really proud of the lads for that. More in the second half please, feels like we can do this.

If Barcelona can't deal with this, it's their problem.
