A bit disappointed but supposed it’s to be expected from people who might expect future opportunities from the next owners. But I would have respected more the ex players who came out early on and clearly stated who they wanted.

if they wanted Qatar because it’s the best bid (on paper) then say it.

If they wanted INEOS because they prefer a British owner, or they don’t want potential state ownership then say it.

But don’t insult the fans by cheering one group only when you think they are about to win.

Absolutely gutted if the Qataris win. United a once proud, self made club selling out to these Qataris, to become like those glorified lottery winners down the street. What a shame.
"Once" being the operative word there.

A long time ago.

They have actually filed articles of incorporation which most fail to do, if this is a WUM it actually looks like a well made one.... and who is ABDULRAHMAN ABDULLA the other named shareholder/director? there are lots of results, one is a portfolio manager with Aventicum ????

This feels like a WUM from rival fans. Like the phantom Villa goal against Liverpool.
The market feels totally reactive. It was calm until the holdings thing broke out (and apparently wasn't really 'news')

Looks like it's hit the upper circuit for today's trading but if we get a good close then it has the potential to be not far off £30 a share tomorrow which would be very hard to refute that it's nearly done with Qatar.

I'm seeing some sites picking up Reuters saying exclusivity with SJ being negotiated, but can't find the original Reuters report.

This thread has gone from the "morals thread" to the "top reds thread" to the "stock market thread" real quick.

Price just dropped $1.30 in a matter of seconds back down to 25.30 at the moment
Thank feck for limit orders! I bought 40 shares at 18 a pop last week before it spiked first and put it to sell at 26 just for shits. I'll take it.

Exclusive: Manchester United negotiating exclusivity with Qatar's Sheikh Jassim in $6 bln-plus sale talks-sources

June 15 (Reuters) - English football club Manchester United (Man Utd.N) is negotiating granting exclusivity to the consortium led by Qatar's Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad al-Thani in the talks to sell itself for more than $6 billion, people familiar with the matter said on Thursday.

Members of the Glazer family, which own minority stakes in Manchester United and control it thanks to a dual-class share structure, would be cashing out as part of the proposed deal, one of the sources said.

The Qatari offer is currently viewed by the Glazers more favorably than a bid from British billionaire Jim Ratcliffe, founder of chemicals producer INEOS, the sources added. Ratcliffe's offer envisions that the Glazers would keep some interest in Manchester United.

Manchester United would not be allowed to negotiate with any bidder other than Sheikh Jassim for the exclusivity period. It could not be learned how long this period may last. The sources cautioned that the situation remained fluid and a new bid from Ratcliffe could prevent Sheikh Jassim from securing exclusivity.

The sources requested anonymity because the matter is confidential. Representatives for Manchester United and Sheikh Jassim did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

If this gets done by Monday then I'll have renewed hope for our transfer window. We need to get moving and this can't drag on for another week.
