Yaaas Broncos!
It doesn’t work that way.It was probably submitted months ago. So the day it finally gets approved is fairly random. Other than being a trigger for Rio et al to read too much into it.

Once exclusivity is granted, then I would think that its basically an intention to wrap the deal up, and other bids wouldn't be accepted, though knowing the Glazers if someone else offered a fiver more, they'd withdraw exclusivityCan someone explain the exclusivity thing? Does it mean that no other bids can be made? It sounds like it should be self-explanatory but I don’t really get it.
why would we need to cheat?I don't. The success we might get is tainted for me now because in my head there is a 99% chance this is a state backed bid and we will be a state backed, oil club who will now cheat our way to success if we have to. I don't like that out of principle, not on the chance that somebody finds out. The 1% off chance that it's all legit is that small of odds that it doesn't come into play because I'm not gonna shove my head in the sand and hope on a prayer that this isn't what we all know it is.
Deffo. Someone said recently that this will all be revealed by the financial press rather than a sports journalist. You’d imagine a journalist at Reuters would have the contacts at the likes of Raine who could confirm this. The others wouldn’t have that access and I don’t think your usual club source would be much use for this type of deal.Reuters would normally not post things without very good sources. Trust them over Ben and Simon any day.
They are negotiating the terms of the exclusive period. INEOS could put a spanner in the works if they put another bid in before they agree terms and enter the exclusive period.I am so confused. Qatar gets exclusive talks BUT Ineos still can jump in?
This will drag for few more weeks at least.
Id rather have the Glazers own us than be a state backed club. Why would this affect your enjoyment of watching united, we've been competing with one arm tied behind our backs for 18 years, all that will happen is we now compete with both arms, it's nothing like city going from midtable to champions, and it's annoying to see our fans pretend it is
I don’t think he has been? He’s already been torn to shreds about his business registration misinformation? And he’s been right so far? Or is this just a case of ignore all news you don’t want to hear?

Zero chance it was done months ago.Yet multiple people on here have said that they have submitted lots of these and it takes a day or two.
Bit of a coincidence if this one took four months and landed today.
He added to the original breaking news report but hasn't really said anything new in the update.Tweet

Why does anyone?why would we need to cheat?
He doesn't know anything anyway, I'm not sure why people think he's clued up on anything United related.Ben Jacobs, ffs what a downer man.
I bet if his missus says that’s she’s about to cum during sex he pulls out and plainly explains to her that it’s equally likely that her orgasm doesn’t occur.
We haven't been competing with one hand tied behind our back due to money, its poor decision making which we could 100% be subject to again. We have seen how Chelsea are getting on with their new sugar daddy. I'm cautiously optimistic but City have done so well because they have combined fantastic decision making, planning and financing. Why would this affect your enjoyment of watching united, we've been competing with one arm tied behind our backs for 18 years, all that will happen is we now compete with both arms, it's nothing like city going from midtable to champions, and it's annoying to see our fans pretend it is
I'm pretty sure that means that technically we have 100m to spend but giventhat you could spread the cost over multiple years like Chelsea did last year, that could be made up to 400 or 500m without cheatingIf we stuck to the rules we could only spend £100m this summer. Do you really think that'd satisfy the Qatari's? Why would they be content sticking to the rules (which they've not done in the past) when they can do a workaround and get what they want much faster?
I‘ve registered companies in Ireland. It takes several weeks to process. How is it different in the Uk?It doesn’t work that way.
Nobody needs Simon Stone for that. Just read the Reuters statement. They didn't get exclusive talks, mate. This is why journos like Stoney exist.
If you have a credit/debit card and have £12, it is supposed to take around 24 hours.Yet multiple people on here have said that they have submitted lots of these and it takes a day or two.

Nobody lives in a vacuum. City's treble celebrations were the most depressing, anticlimactic moment you could have imagined. It hardly registered with anyone. I'm in multiple group chats in which football is a fairly big thing and it was barely mentioned (they aren't just United fans). Because it means feck all.Simple don't let how you feel be defined by other people, if you live your life worrying about what other people think I feel bad for you
How exactly would we cheat? Cook our books to make it look like we have the biggest revenue in the world?I don't. The success we might get is tainted for me now because in my head there is a 99% chance this is a state backed bid and we will be a state backed, oil club who will now cheat our way to success if we have to. I’ve done both. 24 hours not impossibleI‘ve registered companies in Ireland. It takes several weeks to process. How is it different in the Uk?
During an exclusivity period the sellers can only negotiate with the exclusive buyers about terms. That's usually also the period when due diligence is done. Some indicative valuation is usually already agreed upon, but parties still have to agree to the final price/terms. No other buyers can be brought in to bid during exclusivity. If the exclusivity period expires without a deal being agreed then bids from other buyers can be entertained again. Can someone explain the exclusivity thing? Does it mean that no other bids can be made? It sounds like it should be self-explanatory but I don’t really get it.
This quite naive, to be fair. Presumably the Qatari owners will want to win and be successful, and cheating is a pretty good way of getting there, especially when other teams are cheating.why would we need to cheat?
This - not helping his credibility with palpably wrong info regarding the registration either...I don’t think he has been? He’s already been torn to shreds about his business registration misinformation?

Nobody has said it’ll be done and dusted this week as far as I’m aware? if he means no formal announcement then he’s not disqualifying news like today so all parties wouldn’t confirm news to him if there were any? So what’s he trying to say here?
Are we going to pretend he has his source on speed dial to answer for every bit of news others break? Why doesn’t he break his own in that case?
No one said that it has been granted. Reuters said , it's " negotiating "They didn't get exclusive talks, mate. This is why journos like Stoney exist.
Or they out of the loop as usualFeels like every British journo is just choosing to sit on the fence instead of admit they actually know nothing at this point in time.
It wouldn't even take several weeks if it was done by post over here.I‘ve registered companies in Ireland. It takes several weeks to process. How is it different in the Uk?
You could also argue that it was unfair to be bought in a fully leveraged deal that saddled the club with debt. Especially now that there are new rules preventing that from happening to other clubsId rather have the Glazers own us than be a state backed club.
It's not about winning at all costs. You live and die by your decisions so long as you operate fairly. That fair part is gone from us now. I'll always support us, but I'd rather us get to where we go naturally and ethically through normal decisions - because when you do get it right, it all tastes so much better. For a multitude of reasons. You can ignore the problems of being the sportswashing puppet of a human rights violating state, and there are still loads of issues I have with a sugar daddy owner that I never wanted touching my club.
No its both, City have spent similar amounts to us over the last 10 years, but they had aguero, Silva toure, fernandinho, kompany zabaleta etc. All in the team already, while we needed replacements in every position. We only spent really when we finished outside the top 4, then wouldn't push on til that happened again. Look at mourinho in 2018, finish second and he gets one signing. This year, desperately need a striker in January, get fecking wout weghorstWe haven't been competing with one hand tied behind our back due to money, its poor decision making which we could 100% be subject to again. We have seen how Chelsea are getting on with their new sugar daddy. I'm cautiously optimistic but City have done so well because they have combined fantastic decision making, planning and financing.
Are you sure?Nobody needs Simon Stone for that. Just read the Reuters statement.
Clubs with low revenue cheat in order to spend more on players. Why does anyone?
Nah definitely not. You've got that wrong I'm pretty sure. The vast majority of transfers are leveraged over several years. Doing that doesn't mean you can spend 400m/500m every summer just because the repayments are spread out.I'm pretty sure that means that technically we have 100m to spend but giventhat you could spread the cost over multiple years like Chelsea did last year, that could be made up to 400 or 500m without cheating
Anybody can with a big offer but it puts to bed the idea that the Glazers either want to stay or Jim was winning. The Reuters piece doesn't conclude much, INEOS can still buy the club.
