I would also take relegation in order to get them out, but I think they will drag the club into midtable irrelevancy first and then finally sell the club. The brand will be permanently, significantly damaged, tarnished, some other clubs in the PL will surpass us in popularity(City, Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal, Newcastle, Tottenham...). Newer generations will see Man United as new Tottenham, basically(or even worse), as Roy Keane already said recently - "They're the new Spurs! They're desperate!".
That will likely be our unfortunate fate. I wouldn't even exclude relegation and bankruptcy/administration either with that grotesque, incompetent, pathologically greedy family of goblins. Relatively soon, United will stop being taken too seriously, even in England. Less success - less sponsorships, revenue, relevancy, popularity...
