UTD fans will always go to OT, no matter how we play who's in charge who owns it etc, I'm one up till about 2012 were I cancelled my subscription and didn't apply for tickets I haven't bought Official merchandise either since then, now that's just me.
You cannot have a go at the diehard UTD fans who are there home and away I love em to bits, the Glazers love the others who will go because they never Been to OT and want to go.. they come from all over the world.. utd could play the dog and duck and you'd get a full house or nearly, and that's why the Glazers are reluctant to get rid of it....

I do feel though this season will bring changes as we're not getting European football and maybe that's a good thing who knows.. SJR has some work to do if he buys in

Sir Matt cared greatly about winning but also valued doing things the right way. Hence, the importance he played on the Youth Team.

He would have opposed any kind of state takeover.
Really, and where did you come by this information? Do you have a direct line to a dug out somewhere in the afterlife? Please let us know what Busby would think about other things too, Casemiro's form? Brexit? Israel and Hamas? What to do about inflation? I'd be interested to know.

Why don't you hop onto a plane and show them how its done then? Pull yourself away from your dodgy illegal stream and actually attempt to make a difference.

The matchgoing fans have spent thousands following Utd home and away for decades. Posts like yours are why non-Mancunian Utd fans get tarnished as plastic & spoiled brats. What have you done to protest against the Glazers apart from moan at RedCafe?
Local enough and have been to enough games to kindly tell you to do one.

Can we not divide the fanbase please.

If you stand near where his seat is/was at OT you can hear him in the wind saying 'no to Qataaaaaar'

Do you really think a trade unionist and socialist would want state ownership of a state that mistreats its workers? He wouldn’t even want the ownership we have now. It isn’t the most far fetched thing to claim.

That's the point about critical mass. Once sufficient numbers have decided that enough is enough and to either join in or step back, then there would be little need to stop other fans going in. Which is what I assume you mean by infighting.

We get there early and delay/prevent staff from going in. Delay team buses etc just make it really difficult to get the match staged on time. Keep it peaceful, but make sure the message is heard, loud and clear. I'm pretty sure 2 games in a row is all it would take to finally burn these leeches off.

For a few hundred people to achieve this would likely take criminal activity, as we've seen in the past. In sufficient numbers though, we can achieve this just by sheer mass. No hostility towards the club staff, other fans, or even the police, is needed.
All sounds nice but in reality this is all completely unrealistic - our fanbase is just too big and disparate to ever get your critical mass

You talked about 20k forming a peaceful protest. Even getting 5k of our fans to agree on anything is difficult.
you only have to look at what happens with disagreements on basic things between the main fan groups like MUST, The 1958, TRA. Nevermind plans to boycott a game which is the single most controversial subject of the lot, it has resulted in physical violence in the past between our own fans.

Then consider around 75k people have tickets for every match - many thousands of these are booking travel (many from abroad) and even hotels far in advance. You will get some of these to agree to give it up but nowhere near enough will be happy to do so.

And if by some miracle the fan groups got together and agreed on a way forward - the tickets are already paid for anyway so the Glazers don't lose a penny on ticket revenue, so doing this twice would embarrass them and probably get the sponsors on their backs but won't be enough to force them out.

I just hope he really is wiser than what is being suggested by these crazy unfounded rumours. This is how you end up sanctioning 150m for overpriced local lads. Names like Paul Mitchell and Graham potter might even be good in a vacuum but if the driving motive is where they are from then we can all just start lamenting being led by another sentimental idiot. It will be just as bad as this Ere divise nonsense ETH is unintentionally or intentionally doing.

I didn't say it was easy. I was there 18 years ago and basically been waiting for it to happen ever since. I know the difficulties. But for how long are we going to accept these declining standards? There must be a tipping point for even the most blinkered of fans, right?

The glazers rely upon the disparate nature of the fanbase. They play the *people who don't pay much attention* like a fiddle, giving just enough to keep them quiet. Knowing that there will be plenty of contrarians chomping at the bit to dismiss any plan of action.

I swear, Sir Alex himself could get on TV one night and proclaim to all United fans 'Right you lot, lets get this fukking club back', and within seconds you'd have actual United fans furiosly smashing the words horse semen into their keyboard, rather than get out there and join in.

So yeah, it might be unrealistic to expect us to reach critical mass this side of old trafford falling down around us during a league 1 match. But I remain hopeful.

Hopefully admitting he blew his transfer money makes it an easier decision to sell. Glazers already sorta borrowed to get that 150m last summer. Poetic justice after leaving complete buffoons in charge of spending that money. Now even 1 billion won't be enough to pay our debts, stadium and rebuild a new team.

Won’t make any difference. They’ll just say they backed the manager with loads of money. If he screwed up it’s not their fault.

Not what I mean. I'm talking about the cost of fixing it not who's to blame. They can't foot the bill for another rebuild or massive squad renovation, and I think we're going to absolutely need one, this is whether or not ETH stays.

There are still relatively well attended protests and it's important to keep sending a message of discontent about the mismanagement of the club

But the kind of large scale direct action needed to get games called off is virtually impossible and every match this season is more or less sold out anyway so the revenue is already in

The Glazers will only go when they get an offer that is too good to refuse - had high hopes for the Qatari option but it seems dead, now we wait and see if Jim can even get 25% and a seat on the board.

With regards to anyone participating in any protests and then banned for life or however long. If or hopefully when we get new owners would you think they could ask for it to be taken off? Personality I think they'd do it.

The banning orders tend to be issued by Greater Manchester Police. Those with a Football Banning Order usually to have to give up their passports to police when United or England play away in Europe. It also comes up on a DBS (criminal record) check and can make it very it difficult to get a job or get you sacked from an existing. The police certainly wouldn't be tearing those up.

On the contrary, I find discussing the ownership and any structural changes above the manager the actual waste of time. The Glazers are woven into Manchester United. They are here to stay and they remain firmly in control. This will be made significantly easier now that they are about to receive a lifeline from Ratcliffe. They could stay for another 10 years or more with little issue. Constantly complaining about them and blaming them for everything is as pointless and futile as whining about heat in the desert. You just accept it as a fact of life and go about your usual business.

So, you either deal with it and continue following the club, or you don't and stop. The talk about fans getting militant and driving them out is dreamland stuff. It hasn't happened in 18 years. It's not going to happen now. That's just the reality of it.

can I ask a question without being argumentative as such.

What exactly are we supporting now only a money maker for the Glazers? They have shown they dont give a feck so are the dies hard season ticket fans of old still clinging on to the history and legacy of Fergie years and the 50s/60s. Its not as if the team is in a temporary rut. Its chronic failure year after year and the signs are towards death rather than a recovery.

The die hard season ticket fans have the biggest dilemma going IMO

Can anybody help getting the following information since Glazers got in, without having to trawl through 18 years of companies house records?

1. Total money into the club directly from fans (matchday)
2. Total money into the club indirectly from fans coming from sponsors of the club, because of our large fanbase
3. Total money into the club indirectly from fans coming from broadcasting funds, because of our large fanbase

4. Total money into the club from the Glazers (I know this is zero)
5. Total money taken out of the club in dividends
6. Total money taken out of the club to pay for Glazer debt
7. Total debt owed today

I need the information breaking down like this for something I'm working on. I roughly anticipate £9bn coming into the club directly/indirectly from fans, and Glazers directly taking £2bn out of the club with nothing in return (includes loading debt onto the club).

Obviously I know this only paints part of the picture, and the £7bn difference has been spent over 18 years panic buying, paying off sacked managers contracts, poor negotiating, letting record breaking players leave on free and generally piss poor club management. But I need to see a breakdown in these 3 areas (1) money coming into the club directly/indirectly from fans (2) money owed or going out of the club because of the Glazers and (3) money wasted at the club during the Glazers ownership to mask piss poor running of the club, because the Glazers know nothing about football or our club.

Can anybody please help?

Are there? Where do these happen, in somebody's front room?

This is where the issue lies, nobody knows these things take place so they don't make a difference.

And also, I'm pretty sure the Glazers just had an offer too good to refuse, but guess what, they refused it!!

I think some, unlike yourself seemingly, have grown up supporting United as their local team and want to back the players, manager and club as a whole.

It's easy to sit back in an armchair and say what should be done but when your culture and heritage is interwoven with the club, you're going to support no matter what. You don't have to agree with the owners (and most don't hence the scarves you seem to hate so much) but to not turn up and support the team itself is an impossibility to matchgoing fans.

Glad your boycott is going strong though!
As weird as it sounds even when we’re so shit I look forward going to every game. It’s everything, the drive up, looking at the team sheet, the hope, excitement on the build up. The feeling stepping in the stadium. The disappointment, roller coaster emotions. I can’t get enough of it. Plus I will always support the team and club despite the ownership. The owners aren’t the club.

What I will never understand with people like the Glazers (and many other wealthy people), is just how much money is enough? Joel and Avram think the club will be worth £10bn in ten years, or whatever. It might be, but they'll never get to spend that amount of money. It's not as if they're exactly young men. It's not inconceivable that one or more of the Glazers will be dead within ten years.

Well, there is no one to sack the owners, so that’s the inevitable conclusion, yes. The timing of it remains to be seen, but I myself have all but run out of patience with Ten Hag. The Glazers hold the ultimate responsibility for everything wrong in this club, and they are vile, but at the end of the day they don't coach the team, pick the lineups, decide the targets, or interact with the squad, I have come to realise. And they and their flunkies are not going anywhere anyway. The manager has had enough agency provided to him, too much in fact, but that's how things work around here. And with that comes the responsibility for the outcomes. His successes are his own, but his failures are someone else’s fault? Yeah, that's just not how it works.

Have a look at Swiss Ramble or Keiran Maguire on Twitter - this kind of info will have been posted by them at some point

I totally agree that the only thing that will change the dross effecting the whole club is the ownership/structure. It makes me not as bothered by our awful form, weak players etc.....I'm numb at this point.

Yes they have the dilemma but through history Utd fans will go to OT will go away will sell out there allocation and more ..these fans are the ones who are getting short changed more than most.
The Glazers don't give to fecks about them .. the reason they bought the leveraged buy out in first place was the fan base imo .. . You are right about them. .

Gone very quiet again. Not a great sign. So much for it being ratified a few weeks back.

For the club to have any chance of succeeding we need a change. And sure maybe this change won't be enough but at least it's a change.

If in the end it falls through and we are stuck with only the Glazers then it's a 100% guarantee we won't be improving or competing at the top level

Nothing changes under Sir Jim or whatever earl or duke, or even a prince, takes partial control of the club where the Glazers retain majority control.

Every other thread on this forum is a complete waste of time. What is the point of discussing anything other than the ownership. Nothing will be fixed until that is. How people can keep turning up and discussing footballing issues is beyond me. It's like being held hostage and discussing what you are going to watch on TV tonight. Unless fans get militant and get these leeches out then things will drift on and on as they have for the last 10 years. I honestly would love to get relegated if it got rid of the Glazers. Supporting the club is pointless while they are in situ.
I feel exactly the same way. Discussing individual player and management issues feels futile and misdirected when the structure and very pulse of the club is so corrupted. The prospect of being a serious top-level club is simply incompatible with them remaining. We can certainly have great moments and runs in between, but it's hard to feel a lasting hope or encouragement from those moments because there's always that knowledge in the back of your mind that there will be not be any permanent turning point with them still around.

Yeah very quiet indeed which is worrying,we need this sorted ASAP because cannot have another window without a proper Sporting Director. Erik needs that responsibility taken away before he blows any more money on own players.

youd be foolish to think there is a single penny available to spend this january transfer window ha. We could barely afford to get the amrabat loan over the line. Wont be any player sales in january nobody has any value to move on from. Not like anyone is coming in for mctominay now to give us the money we rejected over the summer.

Are you a match going fan? You going to arrange this?
