I think it's very unfortunate that Roy Keane spoke up like that about the CR7 situation. He's talking as if United destroyed the end of his career because 'he had takers', but I don't know for a fact but most reports said United had to pay a big chunk of the wages, which is not hard to believe when you heard some of the clubs involved, outside of Chelsea. It's just the cycle of life, CR7 isn't owed to have everything on his terms because he's at the end of his illustrious career. Why would United accept paying a big chunk of his wages for him to play somewhere else? He clearly doesn't fit with what Ten Hag wants to do, but this is also on CR7's shoulders. He could have made his move easier for the club, he could have reduced his wage demands, this is very much on him more so than the club/Ten Hag IMO.
