so if it's a close 1-0, 2-0 defeat and we play okay, he stays

According to Ten Hag we are playing fine, so all good.so if it's a close 1-0, 2-0 defeat and we play okay, he stays
Hes not going to come out and say we suck and are playing shite is he.According to Ten Hag we are playing fine, so all good.
Of course we're going to lose, the question on everyone's mind is can we keep it below 3-0.
If he did people would come out and say he shouldn't be saying it. Can't winHes not going to come out and say we suck and are playing shite is he.
Like who? It’s a bit concerning that every time he has a winner with a strong mentality in his squad, he wants to cut ties with them.
Use them to make you stronger surely
Ronaldo, Casemiro and Varane are pretty much the only elite successful players they’ve had since he came in and it seems they’ll all be gone within 18 months if he gets his way.Like who?
Has the average age of our squad gone down since he signed? I’d be interested to see that. I feel like he’s not really cleared out Lindelof, Maguire or Rashford, though we were obviously happy to let Harry go.Fee like we’re arteta’s Arsenal of 3-4 years ago where they were clearing all the ageing, overages stars (aubemeyang, Pepe) and had several youth players just emerging like Saka.
clear all the ageing, lazy stars (martial) and overrated players (rashford, lindelof,Maguire) and just let the younger ones (mainoo, Garnacho, Hannibal, hojlund) play and gain EPL experience
Indeed. If anything the young players aren't really trusted or put in positions to succeed.Has the average age of our squad gone down since he signed? I’d be interested to see that. I feel like he’s not really cleared out Lindelof, Maguire or Rashford, though we were obviously happy to let Harry go.
Don't know how anyone can defend Ronaldo's 2nd season antics.. he refused to come on vs. Spurs, stormed off the pitch before 90th minute in another game and in the end ETH still made him captain in one of his last games, Ronaldo just wanted out. I think Casemiro is just paper talk and will stay, saw a story today on twitter we want to keep him amidst interest from PSG, Varane is just a matter of his injury proneness that coincided with Maguire's form of a lifetime and a possibility to cash in on a player that's unavailable half the time. Then there's a question if letting Varane and Casemiro would solely be his decision or a financial one from within the club.Ronaldo, Casemiro and Varane are pretty much the only elite successful players they’ve had since he came in and it seems they’ll all be gone within 18 months if he gets his way.
The fact that an "annihilation" is even considered as a possibility, and everyone expects us to get battered, shows just how utterly shit we are and therefore what an abysmal job Ten Hag has done here. We have one of the most expensive and highest paid squads in world football yet we're here with the mentality of fecking Luton.
Agree 100% with this. The fact that an "annihilation" is even considered as a possibility, and everyone expects us to get battered, shows just how utterly shit we are and therefore what an abysmal job Ten Hag has done here. Enough of this shit already. Murtough and Ten Hag should be binned off
What would even constitute "annihilation" these days? The fact that an "annihilation" is even considered as a possibility, and everyone expects us to get battered, shows just how utterly shit we are and therefore what an abysmal job Ten Hag has done here. Fans with realistic expectations shouldn't be expecting a battering. Only cry babies, pathetic idiots and morons are crying about a potential annihilation. Liverpool aren't playing that well, they're coming from behind and scraping wins. It's just ptsd from the 7-0 and deep down, they're just wanting a bad result, so they can continue to bash ETH and the club. But also they're mostly afraid of having to put up with the bs at work on Monday from a smug Liverpool fan.The fact that an "annihilation" is even considered as a possibility, and everyone expects us to get battered, shows just how utterly shit we are and therefore what an abysmal job Ten Hag has done here. Where does this perception come from?Hes not going to come out and say we suck and are playing shite is he.
We are literally the worst equipped team to handle Liverpool with our lack of midfield, slow defenders and inability to keep the ball, and ETH is probably the coach I'd trust the least in terms of coming up with a feasible plan to handle them. Our only upside is that he cannot play Bruno so may be forced to go with a less suicidal approach than the last time out, if Bruno were available this would be a guaranteed 4-0/5-0 thrashing (it probably still will be). There's nothing wrong being realistic about capacity of your team.Fans with realistic expectations shouldn't be expecting a battering. I don't expect Utd to get beat, I expect a 3-1 win.
Ten Hag has done this a lot this season too. He has said many times that we needed to focus more, and play good for 90 minutes not 60 minutes etc. You can't keep saying it though, it needs a balance.Where does this perception come from?
Many managers have expressed disappointment with their team's performance, in fact I remember virtually all of them - Pep, Klopp, Ancelotti, Fergie etc. - at one point or another criticizing their teams, yet somehow ETH apparently is not allowed to do it.
I think he just lacks charisma and character to do that or is genuinely happy with the way we play.
It's doom mongering and misery not realism. We are literally the worst equipped team to handle Liverpool with our lack of midfield, slow defenders and inability to keep the ball, and ETH is probably the coach I'd trust the least in terms of coming up with a feasible plan to handle them. When he heard that fee then should have looked elsewhere, however clearly didn’t have a backup plan for a rip off priceGuessing when he said to sign him, it was for the £40million figure branded about. Someone obviously got carried away in the negotiations, which ETH had nothing to do with of course and somehow we ended up paying double.
If we are going to attribute blame to people, let's make sure it's stuff they are at fault for. ETH wanted Antony, hasn't worked out. ETH didn't pay £80million for him though. How do you know he wasn't pulling his hair out when he heard the fee?
Yep I don't remember it being as widely accepted that we were going to lose badly even when Liverpool were at their peak a few years ago. This is rock bottom in terms of how good our team is perceived to be.The fact that an "annihilation" is even considered as a possibility, and everyone expects us to get battered, shows just how utterly shit we are and therefore what an abysmal job Ten Hag has done here. https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/foot...86aidl5IVioCSAfLJ5zJfEee7a79zvzyabdgWQJqE_btIThe Basque boss said: "They [United] send a lot of players forward so you will get spaces. We knew they would make our wingers run backwards, but we knew when we could recover high our forwards would have space. We knew in transitions we would have our chances and we took them."
Chelsea had free reign in midfield just like everyone else, they just repeatedly gave the ball away in transitionWe are an open fecking book for any manager who cares to read it (apparently Poch didn't) and that needs to stop

Last 2 results at Anfield were 4-0 and 7-0It's doom mongering and misery not realism.
This and what Tuchel said during week, sums up how we are.We are an open fecking book for any manager who cares to read it (apparently Poch didn't) and that needs to stop

A record that needs to broken.Last 2 results at Anfield were 4-0 and 7-0
We haven't scored a goal there since 2018
Our last league result was a 0-3 defeat at home to a bottom half side that could've easily been worse
4-0 certainly seems more realistic than a 3-1 right now.
I wouldn't have thought so. Until Mainoo made his debut about what, 3 weeks ago, the youngest midfielder we had in the side is McTominay at 27.Has the average age of our squad gone down since he signed? I’d be interested to see that. I feel like he’s not really cleared out Lindelof, Maguire or Rashford, though we were obviously happy to let Harry go.
We're at the point as United fan's where if we're beaten 10-0 this weekend, absolutely no one will say they're surprised it happened. That's how far the standards of this club have fallen and the level of expectation at the club. Even with caretaker managers we wouldn't expect to be hammered at Anfield. £400m spent, 14 players signed and here we are in as little as 18 months.

Pretty much what a lot of teams did to Arsenal during Wengers last few years. So we are the Arsenal of old...
Try to play tiki taka.. lose ball..counter. goal
Isn't that what we did to Arsenal all those years
We need Vini Jr for this one, I'm afraid. Last time he was there he absolutely toyed with Liverpool.A record that needs to broken.
You said you expect us to win 3-1. Not realism either. It's doom mongering and misery not realism.
In fairness this goes back to Ole and Ralf's time here, they both had some terrible defeats to Liverpool and I think the players have to have some accountability but yes we haven't changed that mentality. The fact that an "annihilation" is even considered as a possibility, and everyone expects us to get battered, shows just how utterly shit we are and therefore what an abysmal job Ten Hag has done here. Except we're not doing any of that.Fee like we’re arteta’s Arsenal of 3-4 years ago where they were clearing all the ageing, overages stars (aubemeyang, Pepe) and had several youth players just emerging like Saka.

True enough. But I prefer to be optimistic and be disappointed about the result, rather than be miserable, expect a battering just so I can somewhat happy I was right. You said you expect us to win 3-1. Not realism either.
