I have seen this before with the Merc's , they do nothing in FP , but come qualifying they were right up there.
50% chance of rain for the race and about 40% for qualifying, but its Malaysia, it can rain anytime and when it rain OMG it rains.
Yeah, no chance to see Vettel 1.5 seconds above Hamilton.

Mercedes are pathetic with their sandbagging and talking about "car issues" before quallies. It get's old at some point.

Tough weekend for Merc, sounds like Hamilton's sticking with the old aero and Bottas is going with the new... Hopefully it isn't the James Allison effect coming into play.

Should be a straightforward pole for Vettel unless they haven't put the new engine in correctly or it rains.

and Seb is out in Q1 , WOW massive blow for him.
If Lewis cam manger to finish even just on the podium , I would say Seb is finished for the season.
A win and you could pretty much give lewis the trophy, theres no way vettel would make up 50ish points in 5 races unless mercedes have a complete meltdown

Unless Hamilton ends up with a couple of DNF's this season is over. Oh well, it was fun while it lasted.

Never seen such a lucky guy like Hamilton. Seb doesn't deserve it.
Lucky?
Did you watch last season? Hamilton had problem after problem whilst Rosberg had no problems at all. Hamilton was winning this race last season and his engine blew which cost him the championship.
Ferrari will get lots of free engine upgrades now for Vettel who was in Danaher of penalties. It is a shame his engine as failed.

Kimi's still got a chance of pole. Shame Red Bull seem to be half a second off, thought they'd be closer.
