I made a mistake and gave him a 5/10 when rating. This was a 1/10 performance through and through for the entire duration of the game. I think this might have actually been his worst game here. He is a big game player and a super sub, but not a starter where we need to control games.

This goes beyond position. He barely set a foot right tonight. Basic basses, shots and such. Being in a different position than you're used to should not cause you to mishit the ball practically every time for 95 minutes straight.

Yes, this is going to be storm of Fred hate. He is shit when he has to be a 'main man' in midfield and do all of that difficult passing stuff and getting the ball from back to front. He is usefull when he can run around while he has someone next to him to do the more difficult technical football stuff.
When he receives passes from the defense and is the person to progress the ball forward... He passes it straight to the opponent or is pressed of the ball. Opponents know it too. Troy Deeney says he used to be a trigger press for Watford for example. Today was Fred at his worst... and i quite like him as a player. Certainly like him more than most i think
He is a good player, to be honest. It is just he is not suited to lying deep. It wasn't a good performance, but he has a lot of uses and is a good squad player.

Even Fred himself doesn't know which Fred is going to turn up to the game. He can be 2/10 one game and 7/10 the next. Absolutely no consistency.

He’s a harrier and nothing more. You can’t ask him to do anything with the ball. Have him run around and put out fires, but due to injuries we’re asking him to do what other players usually do, and he isn’t good at it.
A Fredmare on the ball but he does a lot of dirty work.
