They left Ed Woodward in charge of it all with no DOF. That was the issue.
He doesn't know anything, he has already been exposed as a fraud in the past, no idea why people give him any attention in the first place.

The Glazers main goal was always increasing shareholder value, which in this requires spending money. City buy players that have been scouted and evaluated to fit their system, with no goal in mind other than winning football games. No comparison whatsoever.

The old maxim 'they know the price of everything and the value of nothing' springs to mind when I think of the Glazers. They are part of the history of the club now but I wonder what future historians will write of them in, say, 50 years time? What will be their legacy?

That's what I think too. We can't airbrush them out of the United story, but I can't ever see them painted in a favourable light by any serious historian of the game.
Ultimately a failure but more through poor management than financial restraint. The 'we're skint' argument that keeps rearing its head was disproven multiple times over the years but people still stick religiously to it. To the point where some genuinely will believe the two competing realities of us bring broke yet spent an arse load on players are both true

I'm not sure that's true either. This narrative that the Glazers just wanted to leach and scrimp simply isn't supported by the embarrassingly indiscriminate levels of spending over many years.
I've long maintained one of the biggest get out of jail cards they hold is the fact fans can see the biggest criticism of them in relation to restrictions on our spending simply aren't true.
I'm pretty convinced they will hold on as long as possible to see if anyome comes in at 10 billion.
