If Roy can't come back I honestly don't know who England will pick. Would you trust Denly as an opener against an elite side? If not you're looking at someone from the county game (can only think of Livingstone tbh) and they haven't even played for the one-day side.
Will be Vince.

I do think there's an argument for opening with Buttler though. They might be more inclined to do it if Mooen was in any sort of form.

If Roy's injured they'll have to add someone to the squad. As you say, Vince will slot into the team but they'll need to call someone else up.

Doubt they'll want to waste their trump card against the new ball.

Depends on the extent of the injury. If there's a chance he'll be back for the semis which are nearly four weeks away they won't call a replacement up and hope that he can be back in time.

Yep, exactly. That's what I was saying earlier - they'll hope to muddle through and have him fit for the big games. They'll only call up a replacement if he's ruled out of the tournament.

He was right though.
100 %. Just surprised ICC didn't take action given their censorship policy.

Windies did get fecked that game. Shouldn't be sacked for it.
Commentators got a warning from ICC after that game saying you can't criticize umpires on air. He basically responded by telling them to sod off:

"If those umpires yesterday were Fifa officials, they would have been told to pack their bags and head home. They would not have been given another World Cup game to officiate. As a former cricketer, I think cricket should be held to a higher standard. Is the objective to protect the umpires even when they do a bad job?"

Holding added that such requests are why "commentators are being more and more compromised by controlling organisations to the point of censorship"

We need a mature innings, ideally two, from the two most immature players in the team. Great situation to be in.

From Jonathan Agnew on the BBC: An update from the England dressing room: Jason Roy has tightness to his left hamstring and he is being assessed.

If it's just tightness, he should be fine. Imagine the England medical staff are telling all the players to come off if they have any discomfort so they don't mess themselves up for the business end of the tournament.

Yeah, sounds like he might have come off before doing any serious damage.

Hopefully anyway.
