He has one of the best first touches in our entire team
Valencia has formed few partnerships in his time here when you think about it. Rafael and Rooney in 09/10 also come to mind. I really wish Valencia could go on forever, it'll be said as feck when he hangs up his boots. His connection with Valencia is so so underrated
Hmm. If anything I thought they were getting into each other's way a lot. Things became a lot better in the second half when Mata tucked himself out wide out of Miki's way and let Miki do the number 10 job.Todays side is basically what we need to see in the majority of games. Herrera comes in occasionally for tougher games but fights with matic for others. Martial and rashford fight out for left wing, but miki and mata together link up brilliantly and bring out the best in each other.
Valencia is just a very easy player to form a partnership with. He's good at keeping the ball, moves off of it and does his defensive work.Valencia has formed few partnerships in his time here when you think about it. Rafael and Rooney in 09/10 also come to mind. I don't think there's any question that Mata is superior to Lingard in most (every?) aspects. Lingard got the most minutes last season when Mata was out injured and as soon as he was fit he came right back in for the EL final.I find it funny that people always point to Lingard's movement when Mata's is far superior and he actually has the technical ability to match.
My god the drivel you see on hereMkhi and Mata. Only one should be picked, or maybe neither against teams that sit back. Absolutely zero creativity.
I agree. We're crying out for a wide man and then one can play as a no 10Mkhi and Mata. Only one should be picked, or maybe neither against teams that sit back. Absolutely zero creativity when it's needed the most.
