They played like a Mourinho team - get the goal, sit back and try to counter. Their gegenpressing nullified our midfield, and until we resorted to hoof ball, they were the better team. With Matip, Clyne, a fit Coutinho and Henderson, they might have even won the game, no doubt about it. Their gameplan execution was way better than ours.
That said, they were only good because we allowed them to stick to their game plan. If we had finished some of the chances we had, and if Pogba hadn't had a stinker of a game today, we could have been in driver's seat, with them having to resort to an uncomfortable Plan B. Mourinho was better in his tactical approach than Klopp, but the Liverpool players had a better game than the United counterparts who clearly underperformed under pressure.
