And I said it again, if Ramos were in this United team, he'd be exposed and roasted in no time.

Maicon was great for awhile but Alves is the best right back I've seen.

I'd put them in this order
Alves
Marcelo
Maicon

one of the most criticized strikers in the history of Spanish football and who scored one of the most important goals.
For what is said an ankle injury in Liverpool was the trigger for his decline.
I remember years ago I met a Liverpool fan who was completely in love with him.
Maybe Torres should have thought better of that transfer to Chelsea.
His return to Atlético was more emotional than for sporting reasons.

Villareal, like Seville, are having a season way below their level. The squad don't look bad on the paper.

Happy for your team, but i guess it's too late to qualify to the Europa League.
Would have thought so. 12 draws has done for them. Everytime I watch Leganes on Sky they keep bringing up rumours of their manager and the Bilbao job. I know he was in the Bilbao system as a player. If Bilbao finish the season well Ziganda might safe. They have had a lot of injuries which has disrupted them. He has been responsible for a lot of that team becoming first team players so think they are behind him.

Betis just scored at Girona.

Glorious run and pass from Joaquin, guy is 37 in the summer!

Is it beyond the realms he could get a Spain recall?

They have taken the likes of Villa and Aduriz to major tourmanents when they've been well into their 30s.

Very difficult, the position "Tiki Taka is not working,we need something different" (that previously had Pedro) is now for Lucas Vázquez, who is in a very good moment

Dembele with the foul, Parejo with the 2:1. Unlucky Ter Stegen.

If Depor win this they're just 5 points off Levante. Their schedule looks a lot worse though so it's going to be tough

Too little, too late for Deportivo. If they could pull this put it would be a miracle, one of the best comeback ever.

Watched Barca and yet again they were fecking boring. Valencia deserved a draw at least.

Writing on the wall for Bale being benched in the key CL games.

He obviously wants to stay but Madrid seem to have decided to cut their losses on him about a year ago.

Just after giving him a new long term deal.

Edit: Vallejo playing CB again today? Good job it's the bottom club.

I can understand Ronaldo getting a rest, but if he was in favour you would think Bale would play to give him some confidence.

Well he might've picked up a niggle, that's highly likely with Bale these days getting injured every other week.

Or it could be a stark message to him to think about moving on in the summer as he's expendable to them now and next year will be more of the same particularly if they do go in for Neymar.

You wonder if it is the latter as he doesn't seem to be getting the hint that they want rid of him. As you say it could also be an injury, which would be no surprise.

Big day for Depor today.Riazor will be full.Levante play Málaga at home on thursday so we probably won't reduce points even winning but at least they can have hope for another week

No idea how Depor-Sevilla is still 0-0, both teams have a lot of space.

10 minutes to go and Depor could really use a goal

Yes now that you're eliminated from the cl it's time to play your b squad @ celta
Aren't Celta a bit of a bogey team for Barca, it was 2-2 at Camp Nou earlier this season and pretty sure they lost 4-1 there in one of the Enrique seasons.

Tonight is probably the last serious chance of them being defeated before end of the season in La Liga.

That was an insane game of football, one of the best 0-0 draws I've seen.

Lucas Perez fecked up 3 very good chances in the last 10 minutes and Depor still hit the post. Shame they couldn't get a winner, if Levante beat Malaga that's probably it for them and Seedorf

Sevilla gonna miss the CL. Sucks cause they’re my fav team in Spain

Also, La Liga deserves a 5th spot. All their teams usually go past group stage.

That's one for the tactical fouls thread. Good lad, Roberto. I'd have done the same.

Their performance has noticeably dropped off this year and they aren’t doing any better than England so far this season, in fact Italy are closer to Spain in the coefficients than Spain are to England, (who are top) this year.

It's quite astonishing how average Barcelona's squad is. Unless they invest wisely they're going to be in deep shit if Messi gets injured or decides he's had enough of the mediocrity surrounding him.
