It's by calendar year though, and we did have CL football in early 2014 under Moyes, unlike in 2015 under LVG. They probably just about even out between each manager.
My point about 4 goals stands though

Nothing in life is guaranteed. But the personnel will only get better IMO. Not that I want to see this "project Giggs" actually being a thing.Well, you'd hope so...but recent times have shown us that it's far from a guarantee.
How are we led to believe that the board thinks that Chelsea's actions are wrong?Mourinho's available so what has changed? He's gone through a sticky past 6 months but seen as we are led to believe that Ferguson and the board are all about giving managers time, surely they would believe that the sacking by Chelsea was wrong and therefore he should still be a candidate?
He just said, cos he had just won them the title recently and we're not a hasty clubHow are we led to believe that the board thinks that Chelsea's actions are wrong?
Ok. So Utd do not think that a manager needs to be fired so fast. But that doesn't mean the board thinks that Mourinho has done no wrong and is an ideal candidate. He just said, cos he had just won them the title recently and we're not a hasty club
He sure knows how to buy time, talking about Man Utd's response against Chelsea and his aspirations to lead the team to the title. But it's all talk.

I think he was asked if he worries that he 'll get fired by the club and as an answer to that he said he "could" resign which is another way of going out.And only a week after admitting he didn't know what else he could do and maybe he should resign.
It's getting to the point that whatever he says raises ire in me. Don't know if being unfair but it's just so gratingly empty.
Exactly. Since there is no guarantee whatsoever, there is similarly no guarantee that LVG will be outside TOP four this season as we are only halfway through.
After claiming that Mou was already here, LvG had already packed bags and we were getting Sneijder in January in a report 10 days back. The Sun claiming the players are convinced we are getting Simeone.
They are mad. After claiming that Mou was already here, LvG had already packed bags and we were getting Sneijder in January in a report 10 days back.
To make top 4, we will need to go on an amazing winning run (not draws, wins).
Right now, we can barely score a goal and our form is that of a relegation team. 2 of the 3 teams in the relegation zone have better form than us right now <<HAVE A READ OF THIS.
So, to think that LVG can somehow get us scoring more than 1 goal a game AND have us winning every game is illogical.
I mean, he got rid of Hernadez for missing a penalty.
He benched and got rid of ADM because, although he was our most prolific goal creator last year, he wasn't defending.

What he says to the press has little bearing on how much time the board is going to afford himHe sure knows how to buy time, talking about Man Utd's response against Chelsea and his aspirations to lead the team to the title. But it's all talk.
Never understand why people compare SAFs start with LVGs..
United of 86 is nowhere near United of 2015. I cant comprehend the logic of it.
We won the PL two seasons back. What does it even mean when you say the bold part? It is not like we were Liverpool when he took us over. We had one really poor season, that's it. He needed to help rebuild a squad, not create a new football club. He has spent a quarter of a billion pounds on purchasing new players, got rid of the players he didn't deem fit and implement his 'philosophy'. Yet all we see is dull and tumescent football. We were in a decent position at the start of the season but many here saw this thing coming. Our style of play of having like 1-2 chances per game was never going to help us continue winning games. What exactly is he achieving?Yes, sitting 5pts from 4th place, with Spurs and Crystal Palace above us, we need an "amazing winning run" of 2 games to get back in the mix. Never before has this club seen such an insurmountable challenge. I just wish this season would end, for we will never knock Crystal Palace, or the mighty Tottenham off of their perches. Why bother even trying?
OK, I read it. We are on a bad run. Mourinho just lost fourteen thousand matches in a row. SAF performed worse than LvG at the beginning. Does it mean he is a bad manager?
No.
Bad runs happen.
It takes time to accomplish things.
You have reached a logical fallacy here. Just because a team is hitting a bad patch doesn't mean they won't come good again. Let's be straight here, LvG is one man who has taken on the project of restoring the biggest club in the world to its glory days. It is a big project, started less than two years ago, and he is following on from the infrastructure which existed before him. Infrastructure which was flawed. He has made good signings, our best performers this season are his signings. His teams in the past played attacking, attractive and effective football. There'
No he didn't. He got rid of Hernandez because he hadn't fit well in the squad for several years, wasn't performing, and he likes to play more possession dominant football. It was a completely reasonable call, which the VAST majority of the caf agreed with before history rewrote itself for the fifteenth time this season.
Did he tell you that down the pub, he did?
If you didnt know any better, you'd think that Van Gaal was faced with the herculean task that Sir Alex faced for example. The excuses get even more nonsensical the worse Van Gaal does. Its grasping for straws, and would be quite funny if it wasnt so sad.We won the PL two seasons back. What does it even mean when you say the bold part? Jesus ChristIf the alternative is Giggs then give LvG a new 5 year contract.

I don't think he's available, geebs. Although, I suppose it's worth making inquiries.
A few bad results and he'd be crucified.
