He sure knows how to buy time, talking about Man Utd's response against Chelsea and his aspirations to lead the team to the title. But it's all talk.
Nothing in life is guaranteed. But the personnel will only get better IMO. Not that I want to see this "project Giggs" actually being a thing.
How are we led to believe that the board thinks that Chelsea's actions are wrong?

Ok. So Utd do not think that a manager needs to be fired so fast. But that doesn't mean the board thinks that Mourinho has done no wrong and is an ideal candidate.
In fact it strengthens the argument why board would stick with LvG rather than fire him.
It's getting to the point that whatever he says raises ire in me. Don't know if being unfair but it's just so gratingly empty.
And only a week after admitting he didn't know what else he could do and maybe he should resign.
I think he was asked if he worries that he 'll get fired by the club and as an answer to that he said he "could" resign which is another way of going out.
He never said he "will" resign or he "should" resign.
It probably is unfair but I feel like exactly the same.

To make top 4, we will need to go on an amazing winning run (not draws, wins).
Right now, we can barely score a goal and our form is that of a relegation team. 2 of the 3 teams in the relegation zone have better form than us right now <<HAVE A READ OF THIS.
So, to think that LVG can somehow get us scoring more than 1 goal a game AND have us winning every game is illogical.
LVG has had his chance - he himself will admit this. And I think if you ask him if DLLLLDDD is sack worthy - he'd be the first to say yes, this manager should be sacked.
I mean, he got rid of Hernadez for missing a penalty.
He benched and got rid of ADM because, although he was our most prolific goal creator last year, he wasn't defending.
Logic would dictate that LVG will be just as ruthless on a manager.

After claiming that Mou was already here, LvG had already packed bags and we were getting Sneijder in January in a report 10 days back.

Yes, sitting 5pts from 4th place, with Spurs and Crystal Palace above us, we need an "amazing winning run" of 2 games to get back in the mix. Never before has this club seen such an insurmountable challenge. I just wish this season would end, for we will never knock Crystal Palace, or the mighty Tottenham off of their perches. No he didn't. He got rid of Hernandez because he hadn't fit well in the squad for several years, wasn't performing, and he likes to play more possession dominant football. It was a completely reasonable call, which the VAST majority of the caf agreed with before history rewrote itself for the fifteenth time this season.

Di Maria was gotten rid of because he got pissed for being dropped after utterly his performances turned to complete and utter shit. And he was only dropped because he got sent off and we stumbled on to something that worked.

We won the PL two seasons back. What does it even mean when you say the bold part? It is not like we were Liverpool when he took us over. We had one really poor season, that's it. He needed to help rebuild a squad, not create a new football club. He has spent a quarter of a billion pounds on purchasing new players, got rid of the players he didn't deem fit and implement his 'philosophy'. Yet all we see is dull and tumescent football. We were in a decent position at the start of the season but many here saw this thing coming. Our style of play of having like 1-2 chances per game was never going to help us continue winning games. What exactly is he achieving?
If you didnt know any better, you'd think that Van Gaal was faced with the herculean task that Sir Alex faced for example. The excuses get even more nonsensical the worse Van Gaal does. Its grasping for straws, and would be quite funny if it wasnt so sad.
Moyes was just here 10 months, and Van Gaal has gotten rid of those players he found. He's found a way to struggle with his own signings.
Its a case of two poor managers unfortunately. One an incompetent overpromoted midtable manager, and another an over the hill *********** that has failed to grasp the league.

Although I do agree that his signings have been good, our best performers this season have been DDG and Mike. So No, his signings haven't come good yet.

What? I'm not a fan of LvG but giving it to a guy who is completely unqualified and would be getting based on nothing but romantic naivety, or worse a power grab, is only gong to drag us further down.

I'd actually agree. 5 years would be over the top but I'd rather see LvG see out his contract with us than give Giggs the job

I don't think he would work for us. While he is the son of God I don't think that's going to be enough to get us back on track alone, would be an absolute miracle if he could get us winning things again.

We've scored only 13 goals at home between August and December. That's utterly utterly pathetic. How can anyone still think that LVG is the right man in charge.
Also, LvG is not a long term solution. With short term solutions you would expect much more than with a young talented manager. I fail to understand why its so important to give him time when he is gone next year or before that.
