That formation can easily become 4-4-2, 4-3-3 and a4-2-3-1 at any point in the game.
I know it's only the first game of the preseason tour, but I'm disappointed to see no Rafael in the team, would much rather see him over Valencia.

As Robbo says, a 3-5-2 pretty much suits all these players perfectly. Our center backs haven't been that great forming a 2 man partnership between them, Valencia is more of a wing back anyways, Mata is in his best position as are the strikers.
