Ways to deal with a tricky fast winger like Sterling - Keep sticking your foot out and lunging at him in the box.

Okay.

Smart thinking by Hernandez. LvG wants to see if he still has a place in the squad, so Chicha probably thought that he can't judge what he can't see, so he turned invisible. Brilliant.

Our defense looks a bit shaky...probably should have kept hold of Vidic for another year.

Also, on a side note - has anyone here actually seen Hernandez strike a ball properly? He does seem to scuff or miss-hit a lot of balls, whether it be a shot or a pass.

 Gerard the fanny.

We're starting to play the ball a bit better since the goal, still look like the architects of our own demise at the back. I'll be happy if we continue to dictate the pace.

Its like watching Sunday league, we've been terrible at the back with the simple things.

If Paddy Crerand was voted prime minister the first thing he would do would implement the death penalty for divers.

That's what happens when you play Smalling and Evans alongside each other. Good defenders but prone to regular lapses in concentration.

How was that not a yellow from Gerrard? Deliberate handball.

What's with the negative attitude here? We're playing reasonably well imo. Liverpool got lucky with the penalty, otherwise they only had a long range effort by Coutinho.

We need to cut those mental lapses (especially by our defenders) but we're pretty much controlling the game imo.

Mignolet was a good signing, very good last year.

I always feel you'll have to score a good goal to beat him.

To be fair, it looks like they're letting us and they're comfortable to do so.
