Drugs are back on Maradona.
Fair play, but I’ve been in worse states than that (alcohol fuelled) and I’ve never touched coke. He's definitely on gear. Takes one to know one as they say.
In that first video, it's clear he's feeling the side effects after abusing coke and alcohol for so long.
I would imagine he’s had periods of soberiety and relapses like most addicts. I don’t think he could have been nailing drugs constantly with his heart conditions and age.To be honest I don't think he's ever left drugs.
No shit.Fair play, but I’ve been in worse states than that (alcohol fuelled) and I’ve never touched coke.
What do you mean?No shit.
You can see his eyes rolling into his head and his gurning in some of the clips. Looks like stimulants of some sort, likely coke given his history.Fair play, but I’ve been in worse states than that (alcohol fuelled) and I’ve never touched coke.
What did Linekar say? He’s a passionate guy and emotions run high at times like that.
A lot of this, like Lineker having a dig at full time smacks of bitterness - he needs to let this “hand of god” thing go.
Just his mannerisms and the face he pulls give him straight away. I kind of feel sorry for the guy -- even though it's he's life etc and he's probably fecking loving it -- as daft as that sounds.Fair play, but I’ve been in worse states than that (alcohol fuelled) and I’ve never touched coke.
I image most are England fans who are just bitter that Maradona knock them out in 86 with a beauty of a header. As posted in the game day thread, you have to be really far up yourself if you don’t find him entertaining or even if you don’t find him entertaining, but to actually have a problem with his antics
Such cringe. Full of attention seeking.
On the contrary, he's probably still alive because he's never stopped them.I would imagine he’s had periods of soberiety and relapses like most addicts. I don’t think he could have been nailing drugs constantly with his heart conditions and age.
It was a little pun. Coke is shit as it's a dull drug wannabes take, so in my mind you've taken no shit. Also, as a double meaning, you clearly don't know what someone looks like on too much coke with the booze so it's no surprise you think he might not be on it.What do you mean?
Beat me to it.He'll get a virus.
Ah got ya. Yeah, probably haven’t got a trained eye lolOn the contrary, he's probably still alive because he's never stopped them.

Now I've explained too much
And his notoriously shit software won't detect the whaleware. He'll get a virus.
Exactly, which is why we also have had the likes of George Best, Gazza etc. Fine line between genius & madness and all that.Maradona has always been a lunatic really, and one who was fortunate to be as gifted at something as he was. I find it difficult to believe that his football fame led to his personal issues, and suspect they'd have been with him regardless of how his life went. You just can't separate the two sides of him - one genius and artistic, the other flawed and tortured.
Which is a common mixture in geniuses really. I don't buy that's he's become an embarrassment purely because he stuck his fingers up at opposing fans. That's standard fan behaviour, and one thing Maradona is equally notorious for is being an ardent fan. Anyone looking for a role model in him is looking in the wrong place unfortunately. He'll never change. For me though, Maradona was as inevitable to his pursuit as Picasso and Mozart were to their own. Even their names are poetry. He's likely not a very nice man, but there's magic in him too.
http://articles.latimes.com/1990-06-14/sports/sp-623_1_maradona-soccer-injuryHis passion for the sport is such that it has been suggested he is shortening his life in order to play. He has two pins in his right ankle, the results of a variety of injuries over the years, and he lives with congenital back problems that keep him in daily pain. More than a year ago, doctors prescribed a monthly shot of cortisone, but during the nine-month professional season, Maradona takes cortisone shots daily, 30 times the recommended monthly dosage.
The cortisone causes him to gain weight, and he recently enlisted the help of specialists to lose 15 pounds in order to prepare for the World Cup. All this, while still taking daily cortisone, plus extra medication on game days.
Maradona is burning the candle at both ends, and this very well might be his last appearance in the international spotlight. He is old beyond his years, and he has taken perhaps more punishment than any player in soccer in the last decade.
He’s had prolonged periods of sobriety in the past and got in better shape, noteably when he was special guest of Fidel Castro in Cuba.On the contrary, he's probably still alive because he's never stopped them.
Say no more. He’s had prolonged periods of sobriety in the past and got in better shape, noteably when he was special guest of Fidel Castro in Cuba.
Attention | They count from Russia that Diego Maradona was transferred to a hospital.Tweet

Lineker, like many of the '86 team, is still resentful - which is understandable given what was at stake. But moral nonsense when you watch the game and see that Terry Fenwick should have been sent off a couple of times for butchering Maradona. He’s a passionate guy and emotions run high at times like that.
A lot of this, like Lineker having a dig at full time smacks of bitterness - he needs to let this “hand of god” thing go.
Spot on.I don't buy that's he's become an embarrassment purely because he stuck his fingers up at opposing fans. That's standard fan behaviour, and one thing Maradona is equally notorious for is being an ardent fan. Anyone looking for a role model in him is looking in the wrong place unfortunately. If you were special guest of a some Russian oligarch you could probably get away with maaany things.Tbh he looks like he's on ket or something if you see the videos of him being guided on his feet and escorted by security. Other than that, his hand gestures and general behaviour in the world cup thus far suggests to me he is coked out of his nut. It'd be interesting to know how he can get away with it whereas your average joe would most likely be arrested by Russian authorities.
I don't mind seeing people under the influence of whatever they choose but these reports of him making racist gestures are bang out of order no matter what he is on.
