Still overrated, having an unlimited range of accurate passing is useless. We'd be better off with Milinkovic-Savic or Thiago

Excuse my best Top Red™ impression, its a privilege having such an absurdly gifted player in the team tbh

You have one of the best passers in world football and our forward players have such bad movement. It's a pity.

France looked very poor without him. For all the talk of Mbappe, Griezman and Varane, I don't think Pogba gets enough credit for being the creative outlet in that France midfield. Take him out and France don't have an adequate replacement.

It's about time Pogba gets some proper credit for his performances in the national team. The likes of Matuidi, N'Zonzi and Kante just don't compare in terms of creativity.

It was Kante that makes him good they all said.
He's the only creative outlet for two defensive minded teams so when he plays an off game it's highlighted more.
When he's not there at all its highlighted even more.

France really missed him against Netherlands.

He was the one who carried France to victory at the Russia 2018 qualifier games that France had against Netherlands, away and home.

N'zonzi is 3 tiers below Pogba quality.

Nah, must get de Jong and Ndombele even if it means getting rid of Pogba.
So you have one of the most talented and powerful players in the world and you want to get rid of him to replace the guy with 20 year olds? Teams are built by adding class players to the existing ones, not selling class players and replacing them with De fecken Jong that will turn to instant shi7 after the first training session with Mourinho.

Nice logic or nice sarcasm, you can't really tell the difference on Caf these days.

He’s gonna fall into that category of great players who’s time with us coincided with us being shit. Right next to RvN and De Gea

You might not believe it, but someone genuinely did suggest that in the de Jong or Ndombele thread.

When we signed Pogba, I kinda thought he would become a tour de force with his size, strength and great technique.

Does anyone reckon he will be as good as say, Ya ya was? This clip below is unreal and perhaps on of the best seasons from a CM ...

Its simple. Pogba can replicate all this but he needs to keep it simple. Toure did simple things with great efficiency.

Would be nice if he had the platform and freedom Yaya did. I remember going back to that time, friends of mine who were City fans weren't as impressed with him as neutrals. They said while he came up with moments in games he was very lazy over 90 minutes.

There's no way the media let Pogba get away with anything.

No he doesn't. Being able to do what few others within the game can do is what makes him the player he is. His decision making can be improved upon, but when you can hit a 40 yard inch perfect pass on the half volley, you do it.

No of course you don't, you turn around and play the 5 yard pass to the left back, silly!

Keeping it simple doesn't mean that he should take away the good aspects of his game. It means doing the most obvious thing under pressure and stop making stupid mistakes which he has been doing recently. He loses the ball in dangerous positions which has led to goals this season.

Cut the silly tricks and flicks and drooling on the ball. Keep the urgency and tempo high. Some very important qualities of a good CM.

And yes as you mentioned, decision making can be improved a lot and he would a much better version of himself.

Unpopular opinion but if we're talking PL only, I think Yaya was definitely in the Lampard, Gerrard, Scholes class.

Overall he's below them because he never quite replicated his PL form in the CL like the other 3 did.

I actually agree with you, Yaya for a period of about 3 years was unbelievable, a really outstanding player. His best season was the one he couldn't stop scoring, 2013/14 I think it was.

No, keeping it simple means keeping it simple, and that means for Pogba to play within himself. We don't want that. We want him trying the audacious, playing that killer pass when other players are incapable of doing so. Knowing when reward justifies the risk is down to decision making.

Rather quiet in here considering how many gloved up Pogba-defenders were throwing bombs at everyone on the last few pages.
You want the freedom to make more racist comments about the lad?

Well, yeah. That is what happens when you smash your wage budget and start signings rappers posing as football players on insane contracts that didn't make sense in the first place. Some of these guys need a right royal bollocking but Mourinho won't be the one dishing it out unfortunately.

To keep it simple is an art. He doesnt have that in his locker. Kinda weird when Carrick is a coaching
Because Carrick never had bad games ? Bad seasons ? His strength was keeping it simple, but he had his own weaknesses and plenty of them. Comparing Pogba to Carrick is weird, they aren't anything alike. The only comparison you can make is the fact that once you took away Fergie, Scholes, Giggs, Ronaldo, Rio, Vidic, Evra.....great players.....Carrick struggled to achieve anything for us.

Currently Pogba is struggling to achieve anything much for us. Totally different players except from this. We have enough simple players. We need some more great players, and a gameplan.

Pogba was poor yesterday.
