I don't think Di Marzio has ever said that until now. He's protecting his credibility. "Should be done this day" constantly from them the past 2 weeks.

I think they want to unveil him like Real Madrid do with their galactico signingsTo all the people saying Pogba wanted to complete his holiday..
Why does it matter if Pogba has completed his holiday or done his medical.
None of that is required for the clubs to make a statement that a fee has been agreed subject to personal terms and a medical. We've done it before.
That's what is frustrating.
I'm sure its not an issue with the lawyers being slow, its just that after every little change from 2 to 5 parties need to review and approve all changes (Juventus, MUFC, Raiola, Pogba, and perhaps even Adidas).Crazy to think some deals are done in hours on deadline day. The lawyers on duty on deadline day must charge an arm and a leg.
The 48 hours thing from him last week. But he didn't specify a certain day, you're right.I don't think Di Marzio has ever said that until now.
Definitely this.I think they want to unveil him like Real Madrid do with their galactico signings
Because then all the buzz and hype dies down and is replaced by "oooh I hope he passes his medical, what if we can't agree personal terms, what if he falls over on holiday and breaks his ankle".To all the people saying Pogba wanted to complete his holiday..

Ironed out? For 2 weeks. It's clear they are just waiting for Pogba to come back off the longest fecking holiday in history.
Because this is not every other transfer. It is a world record deal and our first one at that. We'd want maximum coverage and eyes on the deal.To all the people saying Pogba wanted to complete his holiday..

If it's a world record transfer fee then you can absolutely guarantee that Paul, Mino, ourselves and adidas will want to make one hell of a song and dance about it, and all this hype is just increasing the impact said song and dance will have.
As annoying as it is for us muppets, it makes absolutely sense to be like this.
He's saying the lawyers are very busy with final details, and then Juve need to sign.So is Di Marzio saying that the meeting is right now and Juve will sign it off today?
Or that it's still going to take another week of meetings and crap?
This has been explained. It's so that Juventus get the most out of the money. Is that hard to understand? As soon as clubs know you've got money, the fee goes up. That simple. This isn't pre school. You have to factor in everyones interests and Juventus aren't stupid. That is why they wouldn't release that statement - because even if the money wasn't in the coffers - other clubs would get greedy. To all the people saying Pogba wanted to complete his holiday..

I know what you mean, it's certainly less hyped at the moment as opposed to a couple of weeks back. Yet here we are almost a thousand pages deep and I bet you like me have been talking about it in work every day this week! :-)It kind of already has tbh!
Most supporters are actually frustrated with the time it has taken and lost much of the excitement. There just won't be as much of the excitement and delight amongst supporters as there might have been maybe if it was just announced with a statement from United.
Wouldn't have the same wow factor if they announce it in stages. Announce it in one go and gain maximum exposure and milk the rewards. To all the people saying Pogba wanted to complete his holiday..

I'd be pretty surprised if a lot of the posters in this thread have jobs.I know what you mean, it's certainly less hyped at the moment as opposed to a couple of weeks back. Yet here we are almost a thousand pages deep and I bet you like me have been talking about it in work every day this week! :-)
Name and shameThis thread is a quality read if you read the first 50 pages, some people haven't half changed their tone about pogba, now it looks like we will get him
Yes, they have missed the hype window. They just want Pogba at the AON complex with his Adidas shirt and Chevrolet logo all in the right place when they announce it. Think they have missed the hype window though. Not surprising but people seem to be tired of the whole thing it's been so dragged out.
Frustrating to internet muppets, yes, sure. But United will get massive bang for their buck assuming this is announced soon. The biggest football transfer ever on the eve of the start of the season. Guess what, that's going to dominate the news no matter how long it's been drawn out.It kind of already has tbh!

Why did they bother with todays update. Why not just wait til he has confirmation of Juve signed the documents then "update". Still think they are the best in the business though.Yay, another Di Marzio prediction.
Because their update today was probably more a focus on how Juventus plan for the aftermath of Pogba, and just get a shit ton of daily questions about the Pogba deal + knew that an article about Juventus plans, would draw even more questions their way, that they decided to put in the latest information they had.Why did they bother with todays update.
