The fact he can be out for such long periods of time and still be so good says a lot about the player mentality and quality imo. Please be injury free and he will be a top 5 defender in the league.

It wasn't lucky though, that's the point
He could easily of got smashed by Arnautovic and injured, why put yourself in that position if you're injury prone? I remember the last time he made a similar tackle and then was injured for months.

Or he is capable of reading the speed of the ball and player and judging if he can get it. When was this similar tackle?

Still rate Rojo over him but he makes a very good partner for Bailly as well. Fingers crossed he keeps himself fit this season, then we have ourselves a very good defender.

I'm sure no one but United fans will say it but he's actually a very composed defender most of the time, he's matured well and isn't as rash as he used to be.

Bailly needs to improve, Jones has been much, much better than him.

There has never been a question about his talent and skills. It's more the fact he's built out of chipsticks.

By far. Last game as well. Jones has been more dominant defensively, more composed on and off the ball and more involved in the build up.

There have been many who've called him a bad player and worse things.

Think the general consensus on here of Bailly is way off and he isn't easily our best CB at all and isn't the best at all for me. It isn't Bailly +1 like so many say. Bailly is just another good CB in a pretty good group we got. He has his strengths and weaknesses just like the rest. We've got a damn good set of CBs imo.

Feels weird to pick a CB as MOTM in 4-0 but I'll pick him. Excellent today.

I think he's proved they're idiots. For some reason, the more he's injured, the 'worse' he gets, unlike a lot of other players who 'become amazing' whenever they're not available.

I really want him to stay fit and prove Fergie right!

I dare not get my hopes up. You can see why Fergie played him wherever he he could.

When he played last season, he was fantastic. That fine form has continued, and so far this season, he's been brilliant. My man of the match.
