Understandable, but nowadays mobile platforms are just as important as the computer ones. Even free blog services offer a mobile variant, with select features. Even prominent sites like Guardian, Pornhub (lolzy) etc, offer a mobile variant with lesser bandwidth features that will not offer you a full functionality. We don't know what the additional features are, so I'm sure you have looked into it, but there are a lot of users who have limited bandwidth on their mobiles who'll be much more comfortable using tapatalk.
Let's hope tapatalk soon becomes compatible with the new set of features. I see why you have to do it and your decision is understandable, but unfortunately it's going to put away a few users, especially the ones who read redcafe on their commute.
