Christ, footballers are getting softer by the dayNot sure what its got to do with Stefanovic but Mourinho should be jailed over this apprently

Yes I know....
If he has handled it wrong though, then the club need to lay down the law with him right now and don't let things get out of hand. Rummenigge is far from one of my favourite people - but he is quite powerful - and there's no reason for United and Bayern to fall out over this - you never know what might happen in the future and you might need a favour from your colleagues (in any industry). If Mourinho can't do it, then Ed or someone diplomatic needs to intervene and make sure things are put to bed in a satisfactory manner so both us and Basti can move on with some dignity. It's not the getting rid of Basti - it's the way we do it.
Had to revisit the Pogba thread to understand this. That place is getting dark and ugly. Thanks a lot...Do we f*ck - we're just loonies who chase helicopters.
If he's happy to just collect his wages and hang around for a couple of years then noIs it impossible to sell Bastian without humiliating him?
Opportunism by Bayern. They see us (and the PL in general) as potential competition again. Why else "warn off" players from joining us in the future? The entire footy universe knows we're about to drop a bombshell with the Pogba signing, so this is a way to take some shine off that. As others have said, Bayern's done similar and could easily rectify things by re-signing him if they're that bothered. It's just politics
He is not a hypocrite at all and comments like these completely missing the point. This is ridiculous.
The double standards. This is exactly what Bayern have done with all their star strikers as soon as they have found a better replacement. Toni, Makaay, Klose, Gomez etc. Even a German "hero" such as Lukas Podolski has been playing with the Bayern reserves.
Rummenigge should shut up. If he feels so sorry for poor Basti, why don't he bring him home, play him in their first team and pay him £200k p/w. As if he only left them because he wanted a new challenge. He was obviously surplus to requirements at Bayern, and luckily for him LVG/United were happy to bring him here.

Going out on a limb here but I suspect that would be everyone's preferred option. Is it impossible to sell Bastian without humiliating him?
And how has he failed to earn respect from the club?It is tiresome to repeat the same thing again and again but here goes.....
Whatever achievements or accolades Schweinsteiger has won for Bayern or Germany or however much he is respected in the footballing community is completely irrelevant to Manchester United. United don't owe him anything. He is the one who should be earning the respect.
Come on, people. It is not that difficult to grasp.
Or conversely, how has he earned respect from United? Running off to Germany mid-season, when he can stay and be a leader in the dressing room, doesn't help. And how has he failed to earn respect from the club?
Come on Robbie, we both know racism (negrito) is a misunderstood term. Back in Uruguay, they also call players a new manager discards and makes them train seperate to the first team squad....you guessed it....negritos!
He may not play as well as he once did but can you accuse him of lacking commitment in the pitch? Besides, he always seems to be very happy at United in his social media appearances. Seems to like the club and the fans and contributes positively to the club's image.Or conversely, how has he earned respect from United? He demonstrated a lack of commitment outside of the field when he spent half of his time in Germany. He may not play as well as he once did but can you accuse him of lacking commitment in the pitch? Winston Bogarde.Wasn't there a Chelsea player made to play for reserve for years, but he wouldn't move just because of his massive contract? He's a fullback.
Malouda and he is still crying about it. In France we call that the loft, when players aren't wanted we send them to the loft and they train separately.Wasn't there a Chelsea player made to play for reserve for years, but he wouldn't move just because of his massive contract? He's a fullback.
Winston Bogarde wasn't it ? Sat in the reserves on 60k a week or thereabouts I think till his contract ran out ?Wasn't there a Chelsea player made to play for reserve for years, but he wouldn't move just because of his massive contract? He's a fullback.

Winston Bogarde.
Yes. Bogarde. There barely any outrage for that, and people saw that as something ok-ish for Chelsea to treat him like that.Malouda and he is still crying about it. In France we call that the loft, when players aren't wanted we send them to the loft and they train separately.
Possibly. It's silly to speculate but i'm bored so I will anyway; maybe when Jose contacted the players during the summer he got a negative vibe from BS. Maybe BS didnt text back with enough smiley faces or a thumbs up emoji....who knows...Maybe he's disappointed that LVG got fired?
Mou shares Fergie's dislike of Germans. "Typical Germans".I genuinely can't get my head around this line of thinking. So you're giving him the benefit of the doubt and assuming that Mourinho is ostracising him (and not, for example, Rojo) why, exactly? Because he really really hates blondes?
Yes, that is the superficial situation of this whole thing. He looks happy, supports the team-mates, thanks fans etc. But, can you really trust social media updates of footballers? He may not play as well as he once did but can you accuse him of lacking commitment in the pitch? Besides, he always seems to be very happy at United in his social media appearances. Seems to like the club and the fans and contributes positively to the club's image.
Bayern sent Schweinsteiger to the reserves about a decade ago. He forced his way back into the team.Sending a player to the reserves permanently and force him to leave his locker is crossong the boundries.
Stam, RvN, and Keane were kicked out by Fergie against their 'will'. This things happened regularly. This outrage of few United fans on Mou is unfounded.I feel we have to back José...even if he tells me that I've got to marry Rooney. Seriously though, it's Mourinho's job that's on the line, so he has the right to make the decisions he thinks will benefit us (even if those decisions are unpopular with supporters).
Yep. Not to mention longtime club servant and serial winner Rio being told in a changing-room he was finished at United.Stam, RvN, and Keane were kicked out by Fergie against their 'will'. This things happened regularly. This outrage of few United fans on Mou is unfounded.
creepy film that.Christ, you'd think that Mou had bunged Basti down a wishing well, like that girl in The Ring.
Exactly. Rodger had envelopes with names in them; that's even more insulting. You see that insulting unwanted players is a common treat for famous managers.Yep. Not to mention longtime club servant and serial winner Rio being told in a changing-room he was finished at United.
I think it's way it's apparently handled, having him training with the reserves without one session with the first team.Stam, RvN, and Keane were kicked out by Fergie against their 'will'. This things happened regularly. This outrage of few United fans on Mou is unfounded.
Keane, by his own admission, even cried after the fateful meeting. At least he had the dignity to tear up his contract.Stam, RvN, and Keane were kicked out by Fergie against their 'will'. This things happened regularly. This outrage of few United fans on Mou is unfounded.
No - it is exactly not that what they have made. This is ridiculous.

And again, why would you want to waste any first team training time, this close to the start of the season on a player you have no plans for?I think it's way it's apparently handled, having him training with the reserves without one session with the first team.
And asking to train with the reserves is the best way? There are more mature ways of doing things. It's not like Bastian is a teenager or something. Him training with the first team would not destroy the whole season while he is still under contract. If José didn't want Rooney and sent him to the reserves, I doubt many will be saying the same thing. And again, why would you want to waste any first team training time, this close to the start of the season on a player you have no plans for?
