Pogba never went anywhere without the club's approval.Going away especially during the winter to rehabilitate, which culminated in Rangnick demanding that he uses Carrington's medical facilities instead.
Ronaldo also got approval to fly to Portugal mid season (that was definitely a fake injury though). It's the club's fault for sanctioning it but it's still a pisstake and a bad look.Pogba never went anywhere without the club's approval.
I don't know tbh. There is so much stuff happening behind closed doors that we know little about. I also know that plenty of other clubs allow their players to rehab in foreign countries. Yeh it's not something I can pretend to know anything about. I know Rangnick tried to put a stop to it (recalled Pogba but obviously couldn't stop Ronaldo) so it'll be interesting to see how ten Hag deals with it. The optics of it aren't great though, especially when the team is massively struggling and you've got players flying overseas when you'd imagine they'd be able to receive top of the line rehab and care in the UK.I don't know tbh. Such is the way of these soap operas. Much adoOf fans overreacting and little else
And yet a lot of clubs still give these privileges to players. It's hard to have a proper read on these situationsYeh it's not something I can pretend to know anything about. He will. Sancho is immensely talented. It would be a travesty if we couldn't unlock his potential.I hope he can come back, full of fire! Ten Hag has shown he can revive other players. Could he do it with Sancho?
Great news if true. Reading at home in the fa cup might be his comeback match.Muppetiers on Twitter said that he's back in full training.
I would just like society to generally accept that if you get ill, you go to a doctor. Everyone can get ill both physically and mentally. Not really.
It's just highlighted how uninformed and naive people are over mental health.
Even theoretically, the way people discuss Sancho and the potential he may be suffering with mental health issues highlights that far more work needs to be done educating masses to the issues many people, including the rich and famous face.
Hiding behind, "we know nothing officially" is a weak argument and deserves to be called out and ridiculed. There has been some galling statements made by a number of posters.
I'm all for young lads trying to better themselves but he's paid to play football for god's sake.Reading at home.
Yeah hopefully he will be reading the game a bit better since his return.I'm all for young lads trying to better themselves but he's paid to play football for god's sake.
Just trying to get him to join the Redcafe book clubI'm all for young lads trying to better themselves but he's paid to play football for god's sake.
They might well do, but they also would elsewhere. There’s actually very good reason for travelling to rehab (Manchester is bloody cold, your body is wasting energy that it could use in the healing process to warm itself up). In itself it’s not really anything to complain about even if I’ve just grossly oversimplified itYeh it's not something I can pretend to know anything about. I know Rangnick tried to put a stop to it (recalled Pogba but obviously couldn't stop Ronaldo) so it'll be interesting to see how ten Hag deals with it. have we worked out how a bunch of people on an internet message board are meant to support him yet? i've just been chanting positive vibes into the ether but he's still not even on the bench ffsSancho Needs Our Support: Day 56

Well said that man.I would just like society to generally accept that if you get ill, you go to a doctor. Everyone can get ill both physically and mentally.
I remember feeling like I was going to be outed as some sort of really bad criminal when I got diagnosed as bipolar, the shame was that real. And it was probably always going to happen due to the genes and my family history.
It's a huge weight off the mind when you can be open about it. I've gone back to university as well so got out of the pressured job.
I'd recommend anyone with a condition like that asking for a full diagnosis and treatment and getting as much help as they can.
This is about Jadon not me obviously, and everyone is speculating but from experience, it seems like the training has elements supporting mental health; close-knit team around him, hand picked by boss, apparently open-ended in duration, not in a media-friendly area.
If there was any medication prescribed, that can take a while to get right as well.
Then it's far more serious than I thought... #prayforsanchohave we worked out how a bunch of people on an internet message board are meant to support him yet? i've just been chanting positive vibes into the ether but he's still not even on the bench ffs

He'd be given a season to prove himself or at least to show to the world that he is worth something. No club would write an 80m signing like that.I honestly believe that he will be sold in the summer. He has had at least 4.5 mill in wages while not kicking a ball and I cant see TH being happy with that. We are overloaded with wide players as well.

To be fair, we won in all the games he scored earlier in the season as well, including important goals against Liverpool and Leicester. Didn’t help much as he still fell into whatever he fell into. It's sad that Sancho is missing the confidence boost that comes from winning
I agree 100%.I would just like society to generally accept that if you get ill, you go to a doctor. Everyone can get ill both physically and mentally.

Is Sancho any different?Pogba never went anywhere without the club's approval.
The only explanation is that you're not trying hard enough. You need to be louder mateThen it's far more serious than I thought... #prayforsancho
Fingers crossedMuppetiers on Twitter said that he's back in full training.
It all depends on if the club is run properly and everything is planned out, nothing wrong with sending a player to rehab somewhere else if Ten Hag and the coaching staff, together with Medical team agree it is the best course of action for the club and player, for example VdB's season is over now after the surgery, so he might be sent to another country to work on his rehab, I am not saying it's gonna happen, but what matters here is that nothing happens without a proper plan in place and Ten Hag's agreement with it, I do not think Ten Hag will allow players to take leave of absence for no valid reason, or allow someone who has an injury to go rehab somewhere else for the sake of it.Yeh it's not something I can pretend to know anything about. I know Rangnick tried to put a stop to it (recalled Pogba but obviously couldn't stop Ronaldo) so it'll be interesting to see how ten Hag deals with it. Just responding to the comment saying Pogba was a repeat offender. Like he was blamed for the authorization given to him by the clubIs Sancho any different?
