His first touch was a two-footed tackle (studs not showing) which got him booked
Becoming his trademark tackle. Surprisingly, his two footed tackles is often clean. Best to do it in EPL though than EL or CL.

Thought his tackle was OK actually. Feet pretty much on Hythe ground and got the ball. Still think he's a lunatic though
:DAgree, he's like a juggernaut to me, his hunger to get the ball back is really.. intense.

He's still a kid with no real first team experience. He's introducing slowly, Jose wouldn't waste time giving him minutes unless he rated him. It's a good thing.
He's still rash and the decision making is still not there yet.

I think I've read some reports stating that TFM are undergoing a lot of intense training program.

Yeah, TFM is under a long term project, and he is Jose's kind of players isn't he.

Physicality (height and strength)check.
Natural Fitness check.
Drive and Toughness check.
Strong tackles check.
Very pacy check.

He's all of those, but he's also needs to develop his mental game, decision making, and overall football IQ. When he does, the things you listed will actually make him very effective.

No worries... if he is playing RB he will have Jose doing the thinking for him from the technical box for half a match anyway.
Problem comes if Timmy is playing his natural position in the midfield.
Jose isn't a loud shouter.

Do you not hear him screaming MAROUANE every single match?

:nervous::nervous:

Poor Marouane -- gets booed by a section of OT. Then goes to Anderlecht and gets booed every time he touches the ball. He has the hide of an elephant.

Anyone knows why he gets booed by Anderlecht fans considering that he was on their books as a kid?

Would really benefit from going on loan next season, ideally to Spain or Germany. Physical specimen but just lacks the football IQ Jose wants at the moment.

Agree. TFM is yet to be efficient.

Often he make those rash decisions like rewarding free set-piece to opponents cheaply with his tackles or unnecessary fouls, for sure the opponents will know this and take advantage. With his rash playstyle, they would even try to get him book or something.

Thankfully, those that you've mentioned are in theory coachable, and under the defense specialist manager, Mourinho would train him in those. :smirk:I feel optimist of TFM making it. Seems to be a long process, hope he's patient enough.

He has all the physical tools to be a monster of a player. Hopefully Jose is working on turning him into that.

Would have been no harm bringing him on for Pogba IMO, not sure why Carrick got the nod ahead of him.

Hope he gets some chances in midfield now with Fellaini and Pogba out. Got a good chance to start the Swansea game in midfield.

Looked like he probably dislocated his shoulder right at the end so doubt that's gonna happen.

Looking over my shoulder.
Looked a little disinterested, but kept his position well. I guess that is sometimes synonymous. We often wish young players to rush in and show their worth. He did his job. Mature play!

If this lad dislocated our shoulder we should put some investigation into a curse being put on us. This shite luck just can't be real.

I thought it was a disciplined cameo where he followed instructions to deny them shooting and passing angles in front of the box. Hope his shoulder isn't dislocated.

Hopefully he gets ahead of Fellaini in the picking order now... I dont think Mourinho will be too impressed with Fellaini after his red card.

I think TFM can do everything Fellaini does besides maybe chest control and some headers. TFM is tall too so it is not like he isnt going to win a single header, he can defend (possible better than Fellaini) and since Fellaini doesnt offer anything going forward in terms of passing i dont think TFM can do worse in that aspect of the game anyway.

If it is, do we have any other midfielders left apart from Carrick and Herrera?

Injured according to Mourinho's post match interview. "Really injured" he said and the PL studio in Norway thinks it is a dislocated shoulder from the looks of it.

Our luck is just incredible.
