I don’t really understand the official negotiations but no bid bit...surely if we’re actively in negotiations we’ll only bid when we come to an agreement about what both sides will accept.
Yeah, I wish someone can explain this as well. What are they talking other than making a bid.

How is it so hard?

united: we will give you €50m + 10m add ons
BvB: too low. We see him at €80m + 20m add ons
And so on, till you come to agreement

instead what we seem to have is

United: hey how are you doing?
BvB: doing well thanks. Lovely day isn’t it?
United: yes good, lovely. It was raining back in the U.K.

and so on for weeks before they consider making a bid

I guess that the two clubs are actually talking directly w/o intermediaries is a big step somehow... and excellent free clicks opportunity for jounalists

Disappointed if we don't try & match their bid at least. Was my realistic first choice for that attacking midfield position, and for £30M that's a reasonable fee.

We'll likely try & get Brandt or a loan for Coutinho near the end of the window. :(

That was quick. They just paid the price i guess

Buendia from the right and Grealish from the left.

Arsenal losing out on transfer targets to Aston Villa. Indicative of how far they've fallen

Good signing by Villa.

Grealish + Buendia attacking from different flanks. Exciting stuff!

Grealish has often said how he’s always dreamed of playing alongside Buendia, so he’s going nowhere!
I know sarcastic, but Villa will just price him out of any move and are trying to strengthen around him instead, which is better than having no ambition.

Villa putting together a very decent team, if they play their cards right I can see them reaching the level Tottenham did under Pochettino.

Should have got Buendia rather than VdB last summer. Same price as well. Is a much much better player.

Anyway, hopefully we cant get the Sancho deal done with a 70+20M bid.

I really don't get it - Norwich has no problem to sell Buendia but they're refusing to sell us Max Aarons ?
