He wont move to Bayern, just because Ancelotti is there it doesnt mean he will go for him respectively Bayern will let him. Lewandowski wont move anyway. Ibra is ours.

I think Zlatan will come to United. He loves Mourinho and the fact he clashed with pep at his stint in Barcelona just makes me think he is even more motivated to prove him self in pml.

I even found this quote from him.

"Arsene Wenger asked me to have a trial with Arsenal when I was 17. I turned it down. Zlatan doesn't do auditions."

I love his personality :D

He's pretty much said he prefers Ancelotti to Mourinho in the past. Bayern are also much better than us atm....

I think United didn´t score goals, because nobody provided the strikers with any good service. And that won´t change, just because there is a better player standing around up front not getting the service. Rashford and Martial can both play striker and they are the only young elite talent in midfield and attack. United are not going to build a title winning squad overnight, because they have too many holes, so why waste resources on a 3rd striker, when you need two defensive midfielders, two playmakers and two wingers. Signing Griezmann, Kante and Goetze would help a lot more. See if you can drop Rooney deeper or he has to settle for the super-sub role.
You are correct. However, we need some cover in striking positions and IMO Ibra fits this role very well. Rashford I suppose should not be an automatic starter at his age throughout the season. Martial seems to be nailed on the left wing position. Rooney will be more of a midfielder under Mourinho but that's only my guess. In my opinion signing Ibra would help us a lot in our current situatuion. I would rather take some established striker but we're in pretty weak position to pick and choose currently for obvious reasons.

Aye and Real are now being linked with Lewandowski....
No doubt this transfer window will see some big moves. I just think United will suit Zlatan better especially because Zlatan want to play in MLS one day and we have a young squat with promising attackers who would benefit from having Zlatan a year or two.

But I reckon the real question is what means the most to Zlatan. A possible CL trophy or to compete and prove him self in probably the toughest league.

I can see Zlatan messing about with us and choosing someone else, don't trust him. Don't know why, he probably loved all them questions about his future at the press conference. His ego really is something else. I think he would improve us massively and he's still got it, very short sighted signing in the long term.He could be amazing for a year, maybe two at most. It could be amazing him at United with Jose or an absolute circus. I would like him to come, it would be exciting. Not much to lose, free transfer, short contract, wages and shirt/commercial rights would even out. He would attract more players to the club. It's not a risky transfer. I won't be devastated if he doesn't come though. It's all about wanting to come to United, not about what money we can offer. Them players usually don't work out. Don't trust Zlatan!

I love everything about Zlatan but my fear is that could turn into a Schewinsteiger type signing. Where we pay over the odds for a player whose best days are behind him. AC Milan seemed to specialise this not so long ago - buying the likes of Ronaldinho just because they could. If Zlatan is not the only signing though I think it won't be too bad. I guess we'll know more at the start of the season.

Has he? He's heaped praise on both of them. He said Ancelotti was the nicest manager he'd worked for and could relate to him on all levels, but he's also said no other manager could bring his talents out better than Mourinho and his game preparation was amazing.

The quotes I saw seemed to indicate a preference for Carlo:

" I say Carlo is the best and I have worked with the best,” Ibrahimovic said of Ancelotti, who he played under at PSG.

“I went through a lot of adrenaline when I played for him [Mourinho]. It was like nothing was ever good enough. He gave and he took. Jose Mourinho knows how to treat a footballer, but Carlo knows how to treat a person,”

Surely Bayern wouldn't go for shortfixes? Who is the last big wages signing they had who wasn't a long term option?

Cant remember one in the last few years, maybe Luca Toni? :D.

Thats not how they do their transfer business. People worry because of the Ancelotti link and every 3 month Lewandowski talk from his agent, otherwsie nobody would even consider Ibra going there.

If Ibra wants to play in the prem, Chelsea and United are the only options for him.
He can't stand Pep, and wenger would refuse to meet his wage demands. Chelsea already have Costa........so it's not hard to see why Ibra is fllirting with Utd.
We need a striker, will pay the wages, and have a manager he likes. Wouldn't be surprised if Mourinho overlooked him for someone younger, but if he signs him, he'll probably
only offer him a year deal with an optional second. We don't want another Falcao situation.

My take on this is it's all done, just his signature that's missing.

If rumours were to believe, we approached Mourinho in January and the deal was as good as done shortly after with all the rumours coming out. Than, in the middle of February, Zlatan comes out and says that big things will happen in the summer. Than, for about a month now, Zlatan starts telling everybody that he has made his choice already and he knows where he will be next year.

So, I really think it's a done deal. And I really think he's looking forward to being the main man and star in a club of our size and with 76 000 behind him each week.

So basically what you've done is read about his interview and selected the best quote about about Ancelotti and worst quote about Mourinho  Talk about misleading. Watch the full interview and see what else he says. Does he favour Carlo over Jose? Maybe. I don't know. You don't know. But certainly he has praise for both, and it wouldn't (in my opinion, as I don't know for a fact) be a factor in choosing where he goes.

I always have a picture in my head when I hear the name Mino Raiola. Just searched him and he looks exactly how I imagined. Big mafia looking mess of a man.

I reckon Ibra will end up opting for somewhere in China.

 Yep just looked, he's identical to my previous mental image of him as well.

My image of Kia Joorabchian was way off though.

Joorabchian looks totally different to how I imagined while also appearing to be every inch the shady fecker I expected.

I would take Raiola's words with a pinch of salt because, well, for a start they don't really make sense.

"We have yet to decide. It will be a surprise in the end."

How do you know it's one of the "surprise" clubs if you haven't decided? Unless your deeming all possible destinations as surprise clubs in which case the quote doesn't really tell us anything.

The main fecking problem here is that Zlatan's best days are not behind him. He scored 51 fecking goals and made 20 assists in the season that had just concluded a week ago. Why would you think a team that could only manage to get 49 goals throughout the whole season would not benefit from signing Zlatan?

Think Raiola's words are designed to put pressure on the club to sign him and/or improve the conditions in his contract.

If Mourinho want's him we'll get him though, and I have no doubts that Mourinho will make the right decision, whatever it will be.

It sure seems like people confuses declining with aging. Yeah sure he is aging, (in fact he's ancient when it comes a world class striker) but he aint declining. In fact, he's improved over the last seasons. And he would only be here for a year or two. I also believe Rashford and Martial can benefit a shitload from having a guy like Zlatan in the team, and devolop to be more complete players. Anyway, thats my thought

People really think Bayern would go for Ibra? I can't see it tbh. Even if they sold Lewandowski they'd prob go for someone like Vietto.

Don't be worried. He's the kind of guy ths club despises, he's an overhyped tool and everyone in our board knows it and there have been bad words in the past between Ibrahimovic and members of the board.
Never, ever. Not how we do our business. we won't be stupid and pay a massive amount of money to a guy who will probably be finished in 6 to 12 months.
Nobody should do that.
Not with the options available.

I hate this 'Lower league football is real football' bollocks. It's shit. I'm sure Zlatan would rather chew off his left nut than sign for them.

So who would be the leading candidate to replace Lewandowski ?

Bayern always find a way. It's not guaranteed that Lewandowski will leave either.

Either way, Zlatan doesn't seem like a Bayern signing to me. That's not an insult to either side. They're just not a good fit. Especially considering the fact that Bayern don't really need him.

Contrary to other (Balu) I don't think he is that vital to us or our gameplan. He is an excellent striker of course, top 3 in the world, but others could be doing what he is doing just as well without a drop in quality. Having him of the wage bill might even enable us to strenghten other areas.
So, candidates.

Not Lukaku obviously, overrated and basically a second Gomez. Not what we need.

Higuain is certainly avalaible if anybody wants him and would be a great addition to the squad, although the price must be right. Not 60+ million € material.
We have been linked with A. Sanchez, which could mean that Müller becomes our man upfront. I like that idea particularly.
Apart from these there are the options with potential, Dyballa, Icardi and Morata.
Every single one of them would be on cheaper wages and a much more reasonable option than the Swedish buffon.
