To think we're in some kind of transfer limbo is laughable. Your not talking about Everton, Newcastle or even Arsenal. Your talking about Manchester fecking United.

We took Mata from Chelsea when Mourinho said himself "we'd rather sell him to west Brom for 50p than United for 50m" we took RVP from Arsenal when it was considered "impossible" Arsenal would never sell their best player to a rival. We got Kagawa from Dortmund after he had won best player in Bundesliga two years in a row and was considered a vital, integral cog to the Dortmund set up.

Don't spout utter bollocks and say we can't sign Vidal, Kroos, Reus, players of this ilk when in actual fact time, time, time again we sign top players BEST PLAYERS from accross the continent.

Mata-Chelsea best player
RVP- Arsenal best player
Kagawa- Bundesliga best player
Chicha-Mexican best player
Henriquez-Chile player of the year.
Smalling- Fulham best CB
Jones- Blackburn best CB
Rooney-Everton promising young CF
Rio-Leeds best CB
Valencia- touted as the best winger in the world by pep.

Just shut up about this utter non-sense that United can't sign the best players when that's all we've done. It's baseless and embarassing.
Are you fecking kidding me? Who is this guy? When you were typing that, did it actually make sense? Like what? How? Why would you say such things?

The more often you read that post, the more you get to appreciate it.

- Kagawa was never voted player of the year.
- Valencia and best winger in the world in the same sentence and being serious.
- best players from across the continent and lists Henriquez and Chicharito
- Henriquez played 17 senior games for Universidad de Chile, didn't win that award
- Chicharito just made the NT team, when we signed him. Certainly not Mexicos best player.
- the Smalling and Jones description
- After exaggerating nearly every player he goes on to describe Rooney as "promising young CF"
- Doesn't include an actual award winner, Anderson "Golden Boy for best u21"

He'll be a legend once this window is done with.

You forgot the most unforgivable mistake of the lot. 'Your' instead of 'You're'.

I love SolidState though. This summer he'll be in his element, and I can't wait.

Aye, that really got me. After the ridiculous hyperbole for everyone else he doesn't mention that we signed the actual hottest prospect in Europe at one point.

Not sure how reliable Bild is when it comes to Dortmund though.

Might that be the worst post ever? Is it even possible to be that wrong about so many things?

Man!! Reus is currently 4 million per year. While Rooney is about 11.3 or 15.6 million per year. To be honest I'll take Reus with 7 million per year any day.

Tbh 7M a year is not a huge amount for a player of his calibre. No doubt he will be getting a lot of tempting offers through his agent

Yes but Reus wouldn't make the club half the money Rooney does. Some people don't get wages at all do they. They are no way near representative of JUST performances.

BILD is really hit and miss in terms of Dortmund, but these figures are believable. 7-8 Mil per year is pretty much the limit for Dortmund. If Reus stays longer than 2015 then for other reasons than just money.

Red Yankee is human scum.
We should test the clubs resolve with a bid of around £50-£60m and the players with a huge contract. We missed out on Gareth Bale, we shouldn't on Reus.

TO counter-react a bit (I know that the post isn't accurate) but still:
- Kagawa was voted from a newspaper the best player on Bundesliga. He was the best player there in the second half of the season, but in overall I think that Reus and Hummels were better.
- I think that Pep said really that Valencia is the best winger in the world. Martinez said that for sure and he is Pep-light.
- Hernandez was the best Mexican player in World Cup despite that he started in only one or two games. He was also the fastest player there.

Henriquez wasn't ever the best player in the Chile. After we signed him he got the first appearance for them so that was really ridiculous from him.

But yes, most of the post was hilariously wrong.

I think it was pretty obvious after the season he's had they would offer him a new deal. If he takes it, fair play to him for sticking with them. If not, I think he could leave this summer for big money. Taking £50 mill for him this summer might be acceptable for them, especially as next year they wouldn't get to choose who he goes to and Bayern could take him.

Which newspaper was that? Bild?

Initially he wouldn't make the same money but he has all the tools to become a massive superstar for us.

I also read the club offered the raise contingent on foregoing his release clause but that he declined

Who do you believe we will get?
Difficult to say, if you asked me to put money down Id only bet on say 2-3 names Shaw, Reus. Before everything emerged about Van Gaal id also had put money on Carvalho but now Id say that one is a bit up in the air. The other two I hope are Kroos and Hummels (Much more difficult transfers) Hummels is only off the back of the recent speculation on a CB, although I had heard that we were seriously looking at Mangala but have since been put off by Citys interest. I dont think any signings will happen before a new coach is confirmed. But we are definitely in for that calibre of player. Ive also heard a rumour that weve lodged a bid for Moura opening at 25m with the aim to get Reus and Moura on the flanks.

To be honest who knows.

I also think the interest In Cavani is very real as well as Fabregas worryingly.

Of course I do on the surface of it but it makes me wonder...1 why domt Barcelona want him anymore? 2 if they do is Woody stupid enough to get slapped twice. 3 I think he's a fallback for Kroos

I haven't paid much notice of the Kroos stuff as I don't think it's possible. Fabregas seems more likely as he's fallen out of favour a little bit, would still be very surprised though.
