In an apple vacuum...
Like Liverpool, who lost their first pre-season game against Brondby.

Woke up to shit loads of tweets on their apparent "historic" win. Got thinking they'd have beaten a full-strength Real Madrid or Bayern side. It was LA fecking Galaxy, jesus. These c*nts are on the highest of horses, can't wait for it to all crumble next season. And it will.

Van Gaal can feck off aswell, Mr High and Mighty with a shit haircut.
I've noticed RAWK are getting in the 'mid table team' and 'corner turned' jokes whilst they still can.

Lemmy has forsaken us....
Through months minutes of observation, I've come to notice that the scouse genuinely believe that if a team, any team, has a bad season, it's a sign of a catastrophic downwards spiral in which they will keep finishing lower and lower down the table with each passing season until they're in League 2...

...unless that team is Liverpool. Then a bad season means nothing and it's just a temporary setback.

They have actually deluded themselves into believing Liverpool is the only team in England, in Europe even that's capable of recovering from a bad season.
It's extra funny when you realise after so long, they still never fully recovered. Unless 2nd is the height of their ambition.

In fairness, the pages on their site (which is truly hideous to look at) don't hold as many comments as ours. 98 pages on RAWK probably equates to something like 30 on Redcafe.

Edit: Just had a quick look and I'm wrong. Must be confusing it with Bluemoon.
Let the laughing continue. :D

Yep, you're wrong. They really did write almost 4k posts in their LVG thread and the season hasn't even started.

They just go from one extreme to the other when talking about us, they also just lie and twist things constantly. They are such an annoying bunch of twats.

And as if to illustrate your post, along comes the_red_pill (Such a fitting username!) and his scintillating analysis of our game last night
They had a full-strength team out(Van Persie, Rooney both on at the same time etc..)- basically who they'd put out if we clashed at Anfield today. It's a feel-good approach to pre-season training they've got going on there. They need to satisfy the masses and keep Marketing happy.

We're more focussed on actually getting our pieces in place and well-greased for the new season. You know- We having no easy ride, we have to use our resources.

I'm surprised they put out their strongest team, still 7-0 against a decent-ish League 1 type side isn't to be sniffed at.

Hopefully this should put a stop to any more strengthening, it was obvious it was Moyes' fault all along.
Only realistic comment on a thread about our game. I know it was against a poor side but looks like their a bit scared.

Views on Herrera.

Yeah to be fair that Herrera looks very good, unfortunately.
Pre-season and all, but Ander Herrera looks like a fantastic signing.
Unfortunately he's is a very good player. Would have loved to have got him to Liverpool.
Herrera is a fine signing

Jesus, they really are obsessed with us. Has anyone here actually bothered to watch a Liverpool friendly over the past week? Yet half of them watched us against the Galaxy.

Some didn't even watch it, but still went off on one (see the 'Van Persie, Rooney both on at the same time' comment I posted above.)

Yeah, I watched them against Preston as they're my local team.

Shaw looking like another "Fellaini" signing for them, although he is still young and it's preseason. Not looking worth 25m + though.
After 45mins of his first game for us and first pre-season game of the season.

I actually think that RAWK reflects their fanbase a lot TBH. I have 20-30 (yes not lot considering) of them at work or around me day to day and i can honestly say they all come out with the same old tripe. There is not one you can have a rational debate/discussion with about Liverpool/United unless you agree with whatever they think. Every single one of them claim not to know what RAWK even is but they show the same traits and spout the same rubbish.

I was told today (yet again) that United are in decline and its over for a long time, Liverpool are on the up though and are only going to get stronger, they have Sturridge after all. They went one step further than usual though and actually bet me £500 that Liverpool would not only finish above United, which there is obviously a decent chance at the moment, but adamant that United would finish in the bottom half of the table!

How would it work out if Liverpool ends above us, but we are in the top half of the table?

Anyway if I were you I will take their bet. Easiest £500 ever.

He bet you £500 that we'd finish in the bottom half of the table? I hope you took it!

I took it alright, i even offered him £1000 on top. Somehow i dont think im ever going to see the money though, we all know what they are like for changing history to suit. They will just claim they meant something else.

We all know they would be too worried about how they finished above us than actually owing me £500. They will just move the goalposts as usual.

Preston or Liverpool? I'm guessing Preston? How was that experience for you? As good as you hoped it to be?
Preston, haha. And I actually thought Preston played some really great football, they were quite good last year just way too many draws. Must say that Ibe looks like he's gonna be a really good player.

I can safely say I haven't watched one pre-season Liverpool match. I am really not interested.

Their matchday threads when United are involved are always huge as well but that's probably because they're not allowed to discuss the game when their own team plays because the mods provide commentary for them, ya know, just in case a member of the forum criticizes the performance or a player - THAT IS NOT ALLOWED, it's not the RAWK way. Everything is always rosey! :wenger:

Yep, they banned Liverpool match threads a few years back now. AND they lock all other threads whilst the game is on.

So, let's say for example, Skrtel is having a shit game (which is most of the time) and someone pops into the Martin Skrtel thread whilst the game is on and says "Skrtel having another mare" that thread will be locked and the poster probably banned.

It's really bizarre.

I did watch a little bit of their game with Roma last night tbf, but I was testing my subbed stream on the iPad and was only watching them whilst waiting for us to start

Why is that forum so big when they run it like that ? Doesn't make much sense to me.
Because if you're a Liverpool fan, it's probably deeply comforting to give in to that warm cosy hive of delusion. Better than facing the stark, painful reality of their recent years.

Who claimed the win against LA Galaxy to be historic? Also, it's great how they find negatives in our 7-0 win, yet losing to Brondby, Roma and scraping past Preston means very little.
Well where the feck is their Chevrolet Trophy?! Aye, that's what I thought.

The really are a repulsive bunch of twats.

I don't know what it is about scousers, you just simply cannot have a reasonable discussion with them about football without them resulting to same kind of shite that's on RAWK.
Couldn't agree more it's almost the culture the team breeds. Notable mentions to Chelsea fans too

There are some very sound Chelsea fans on here.

It's the ones you meet in real life who are total wankers.
The Arsenal and Liverpool fans are a lot worse than the Chelsea fans on here, in fact the Chelsea fans are probably the best set of fans on here because they aren't constantly using un-funny sarcasm to illustrate a point that they're making and label it as an obvious fact, when in fact it is not.

Chelsea fans on here are great lads, and the ones I know IRL too, tbh.

Proper tantrum this, edited down.

'Am i going fecking crazy or is this very very underwhelming? ...guess what, we've won 5 European cups, we just finished 2nd in the league... (we need to) bid for our rivals players even if we have no intention of buying them. Chelsea bought Torres, Miereles and Benayoun off us, Arsenal bid for Suarez... Bid 25 million for Ramsey or 60 million for Hazard, see what they say? What's the worst that could happen, it pisses them off and they say no? The player might fancy it. Offer Barcelona Suarez an 20 million for Messi, again, what's the worst that could happen, we establish ourselves as the "not fecking around" club. Instead we'll sit on our hands and sign Ryan fecking Bertrand or some other average young player for 6-7 million who we'll sell in 18 months. We're a fecking massive club and sometimes it really does feel like those at the top don't even fecking realize it'.

Bless 'em

They aren't considered massive by anyone other than themselves anymore, I'm not saying that as a slur either it's just these last few years have really killed their reputation.
