I love laughing at the scousers as much as anyone but the performance of some of our posters in the transfer forum leaves a lot to be desired.

I've now read at least 3 poems ( yes fecking poems!) written to our potential transfer targets. Think about that for a second.... Grown men, sat at their computers, writing poems to a man who will never read them....

Sort it out.
Poems to a player should equate to an instant ban. I don't want to ban poetry outright.

fecking hell, they are spending £50mill on a player who's Seasonal goalscoring record has hit double figures ONCE in his career?
Spending like a drunken sailor.
Judging a playmaker by his goalscoring record. Right...
Real convenient of them to ignore his outstanding assist record as well

I guess you'd laugh at Shakespeare, too.

Muppet poems are a beautiful thing.

"Stoke" is almost a by-word for embarrassment on Sky Sports News Transfer Deadline Day™ but I think the Scousers are worse when the cameras are about. Much worse.

Just look at the state of that cnut above.

Jesus wept!
This cracked me up!

Couldn't have put it better myself.

A few ones on us potentially signing di Maria

Di Maria is soft as can be - people will - but shouldn't - be very surprised once he doesn't perform anywhere nearly as well as he did in Spain.
It's going to be hilarious when they dont get top 4.
Sky now saying United are prepared to pay 60m for him. 60 feckin million. That smacks of desperation at the end of the window to me. Even if they sign Vidal and Blind their squad isn't as good as City's, our's and Chelsea's. Looks like it will a shootout between them and Arsenal for 4th.
Seriously short term thinking here by United but that's the position they've backed themselves into really. They might get lucky but what the situation will be 3 years from now is anyone's guess.
Van Persie
Di Maria Rooney Januzaj/Mata
Carrick Herrera

Pretty good that. Has Van Gaal ever adopted the 4231?

Its shit. Carrick is shit, Herrera looks shit, Rooney is now shit, Van Persie is old and Mata looks shit for them. Most of those started against us and looked slow as feck.

Di Maria is a top player but all those players in Man Utd's attack are now just names, not the real deal anymore.
This. It's going to end in disaster for the Mancs come the end of the season.

See we had Lallana who got 10 assists playing for Southampton and 10 goals, something like that. This fella had 4 goals playing for real Madrid and 17 assists, I could assist in that team, because you in at give it to Ronald and Bale and it's an automatic.
Lets see how he does playing with shit footballers and zero counter attacking.
It was a world cup and even then he only looked good in the first 1 or 2 games, he wasn't very great after that. Rooney has looked ok for them but he is not the same player he once was, certainly not in terms of pace, dribbling and dynamism. He is pretty much a number 9 now and certainly no way a number 10. Its him or Van Persie.

Herrera may or may not adjust. He looks a tidy player at best. As for Mata, he needs to play as a free roaming attacking midfielder from out wide. He doesn't have the ability to control the play as a number 10 in the way Silva does for Man City.

Honestly I couldn't care less even if they sign Vidal and Blind or whomever. We are so far ahead of them as a team at this moment its not even an issue.
We should actually put in a bid for Di Maria just to ensure Man Utd don't make top 4. Sound long term strategy that.

They talk about how we are irrelevant to them as we are a mid table club yet they are throwing their toys out of the pram because we are signing a top player.

My personal favourite was the one where they were saying even if we signed AdM, Vidal and Blind they'd still be a million miles ahead of us. If we signed those three I'd be shocked if we weren't challenging for the title.

I appear to have missed the poems. Were they in the Vidal/Di Maria thread? A few people (including myself) have gone a bit mad in those two threads so you can hardly blame them

To be fair you dont just buy a bunch of world class players and win the title in the EPL.

This is what satisfies me so fecking much.

The state of our squad, no champions league and we manage to coup a world class Champions League winner and finalist MOTM while they still shop in the bargain bucket and pay over the odds at he same time.

The players will need time to gel, of course, but eventually it pays off. You and City have both shown that, no disrespect.

It does but not usually in the first season.
No, but with the abundance of attacking talent we already have settled at the club and a good manager even if AdM and Vidal both took a bit of time settling the difference having Vidal in our midfield, ie, breaking up attacks and actually giving a good supply to our attackers, then we should be crushing the bottom half of the table teams with ease. Our team isn't shit as some would have you believe, we are only a couple of players off challenging for the title. A partially fit Vidal, as he was at the World Cup, would be miles better than some of our current midfield options, who provide little to no assistance to our attack or difference, when fit.

The Liverpool supporters I know actually thought they would coup a Falcao, Reus, Sanchez, Higuain or Barkley this summer yet they have spent nearly £100m with nothing really to show for it except for a bit of squad depth..It's only natural that they would react like this when we bag a worldy!

They're just annoyed because they thought we couldn't sign anyone decent, let alone one of the Champion's League winner's best players.

I honestly don't know why they are upset. They have got what they wanted out of their transfer window, what do our dealings have anything to do with them.

It would appear that Liverpool fans have forgotten that, until last season, they were finishing 7th and 8th as a matter of habit...

Joining the biggest club in England by a mile counts as a limited option apparently.
If you were Di Maria - wouldn't you wait until next summer, or at least the January window and then push for a move to somewhere like PSG since your options are so limited at the moment? Seems as if only United are in for him now, and unless he's excited to join a"project" and do his part in trying to get them back into the CL, I don't see at all why he'd go there. Either that or he's just another mercenary.
Also, I'm pretty certain Madrid offered him 2 contract extensions, so yes, I think Madrid did want to keep him.

You'd think they were prising away someone Real really wanted to keep, and not paying the best part of £60m for someone they're pretty content to sell.
In fairness though a lot of them are talking a lot of sense and are admitting that he's a brilliant player and they are correct in saying that he doesn't address our issues, but even so, how often does a player of di Maria's calibre become available?

I love the way Liverpool fans are looking down on United, as if they have been top dog for ages:lol: They won feck all last year, we going again bunch of bottling cnuts. The delusion is frightening at times, just look at the premature celebrations last year(songs,t-shirts), cringe worthy and embarrassing. I can admit when they are playing well or have brought through a great player like Sterling, when it's us? We win the league and it's a bad league or we're lucky, we buy a good player and he's overrated, not good enough for Liverpool:houllier: 5 TIMES!

Not RAWK but lol at Liverpool banging on about us signing Di Maria, I sense he makes them nervous I mean look at some of this crap..

http://forums.liverpoolfc.com/threads/363066-Apparently-Di-Maria-to-Utd-for-60-70m-hahaha-madness

This is such a lol worthy thread.

Mata - 40 million
Fellaini - 27 million
Shaw - 27 million
Herrera - 30 million
Rojo - 16 million
Di Maria - 48 milion

188 million in 3 windows!
Cheers mate. And they talk about City and money.
Meanwhile..

Can - 8 million
Lallana - 25 million
Lambert - 4 million
Lovren - 20 million
Markovic - 20 million
Origi - 10 million
Moreno - 12 million
Alberto - 6.8 million
Apas - 7 million
Mignolet - 10 million
Ilori - 7 million
Sakho - 18 million
Borini - 10 million
Allen - 15 million
Assaidi - 2.3 million
Yessil - 1 million
Sturridge - 12 million
Coutinho - 8.5 million
Ibe - 500k

199 million in 3 windows! And more to come!
And they talk about United and money.

Di Maria leaving Real Madrid (CL Champions) for Manchester United who aren't even in the Europa League....they must be paying him 300k a week like Shrek!
Meanwhile your top players are leaving in spite of offering them 200k+(Which is what we are offering Di Maria) and CL football to go to another team, I know which situation I'd prefer!

An eye watering figure when you consider the paucity of talent they still have in key positions.

Like they've forgotten how to build a team and are simply throwing money about, hoping for the best.
Meanwhile you spend fees like 25 mil on Lallana, while criticizing 30+ on Mata and 40+ on Di Maria, world class players..

Di Maria is massively 'Over-rated'.

To add,Suso has got more flair than Mata.If he plays to his true potential he could be a much much........much better player than Mata but i guess the deciding factor is performance but just saying......he is more 'gifted' than Mata.

Y.N.W.A
And this is just the biggest LOL of all, just lol... wow..

It genuinely baffles me as how someone else said earlier, they are looking down on us as if they have been top dog for years now.. almost as if we have been out of the CL and top 4 for like, hmm, I dno 3-4 years in a row and were selling our world class players now, OH WAIT! lol.

The only thing I will say that I agree with in the thread is that the overwhelming problem that does need addressing at the moment is the midfield/defence.

Defence is a little bit better now with Rojo and Shaw but I still believe we need at least one more signing other than Di Maria, probably a CM, A strong ball winning CM

If you can find the premier league 07/08 thread in RAWK, its a beautiful read. From persistent name calling at Ronaldo to the slow realization that he was turning into an absolute beast.

Not even close to the 2009/2010 & 2010/2011 ones, the January transfer window in the latter is honestly some of the most fantastic diamonds to come out of RAWK in years

I just searched 'Ronaldo' for a laugh and found a thread comparing him to Pennant. Most were sensible (surprisingly) but there were a few gems. Such as;

I'd rather have Pennant who is more of a team player.
Ok the point is not who is the more talented it is about who could be more effective and given his work rate if he actually had someone to hit, like Ronaldo does every attack! Then Pennant would be the more effective natural winger!
Lets face it without his pace Ronaldo would be nothing special. He's not the most intelligent of players and his end product is shite.Pennant will be just as effective a winger when he gains more belief and confidence.
Ronaldo, Quaresma, Joaquin, etc, are all overrated, showboating c*nts.Pennant is ace and will be one of the best wingers in the world when he gains a bit more confidence.
People can't see what is directly in front of them. Ronaldo is a show pony with very little end product but playing in a side that are top and enjoying playing attacking football.
Ronaldo is a good player, but that's it. And as for your notion that he is better than Rooney, and can be the greatest player in the world, well that's barmy.
Amusing. That Ronaldo lad never did amount to much, eh?

Balotelli was popular in the City dressing room. It's a nice narrative for the press that he disrupted the dressing room but it is far from the truth. Perhaps, Mancini's pandering to him could have caused friction at some point but nothing serious and I can't see Rodgers being as indulgent anyway.

Question is who will help him with the bib at Liverpool? :p
