Dont see how that makes him an idiot
You're an idiot. Different types of players but Gazza was a great entertainer.

Thankfully every other Liverpool fan agreed he was a complete twat. That's incredibly distasteful.
Christ.I remember a particular poster calling the Roy Hodgson era 'this generation's Hillsborough'.
i thought we were outstanding, the team showed great character
How the feck does he slip from a standing position, making no movements?
No Scholes wasn't better than Zidane either is this RAWK?He may have been more technically gifted but he wasn't better. Scholes readiness in the game was top notch. We had a player who, throughout is career he developed from a striker to a deep lying play maker and he covered each role magnificently. His vision was world class, his passing was world class and his finishing was world class. Barcelona used to use him as an example of what a midfielder should be. Zidane confessed that Scholes was better than him. That's what Paul Scholes was all about.
Will L.A Galaxy be known as la Galaxy from now on?
It's no problem though. The fans will stick with him through thick and thin.He sure sliced that one effort near the end.
True. Although he's toast now, they still sing "You'll Never Bake Alone."It's no problem though. The fans will stick with him through thick and thin.
Yeah."One club man"? Hasn't he signed for another club?
Apparently mls clubs are thought to be so shit that they aren't considered to be actual clubs to list as clubs one has played for."One club man"? Hasn't he signed for another club?
Yeah Suarez really lowered their standards. Now any player that doesn't impulsively try and eat a defender whole is an honest professional.I don't know about their team needing pricks, it's full of those.
The search for Gerrard's heir begins now.
OT, but isn't Xavi going to Qatar?Apparently mls clubs are thought to be so shit that they aren't considered to be actual clubs to list as clubs one has played for.
So xavi going to mls will also be a one club man.
Should have been an if in thereOT, but isn't Xavi going to Qatar?
He is unreal And this LFC tatooYeah Suarez really lowered their standards. Now any player that doesn't impulsively try and eat a defender whole is an honest professional.
Gazza was hyped up because England never had a Pele, Cruyff, Best or Maradona level player. He was all huff and puff and elbows. Never did anything against any top team on any kind of stage. So he flicked it over some 40 year old Scottish defender's head? So what? He's not fit to lace Paul Scholes' boots
I'm still somewhat bemused how they described Gerrard as 'the best there is, the best there was and the best there ever will be.' For those of you that don't know, those words are invariably associated with the retired wrestler Bret 'The Hitman' Hart, who described himself that way throughout his career. He started the day as being made of bread and finished as an accomplished Canadian wrestler. They're an odd lot.
One could make an argument for Denilson being the most gifted Brazilian born in the last 30 years. Doesn't mean he's better than a handful of Brazilians that actually achieved. Were you born when Gazza was playing? Could easily make an argument for him being the most gifted British player of the last 30 years.
They couldn't, which makes that a really shit retortOne could make an argument for Denilson being the most gifted Brazilian born in the last 30 years. Doesn't mean he's better than a handful of Brazilians that actually achieved.
It's all subjective, like your opinions. They couldn't, which makes that a really shit retort
I'm sure Michael Oven will give him an shoulder to cry on.True. Although he's toast now, they still sing "You'll Never Bake Alone."
Well that's what Zidane said. Don't blame the messenger. No Scholes wasn't better than Zidane either is this RAWK?
Lol this is wrong on so many levels Devilish! Are you saying Scholes was better than Zidane? And who are these Juventus fans and where did they say this (apart from whispering in your ear of course)Well that's what Zidane said. Don't blame the messenger.
Zidane technique was sublime but he was inconsistent. That's something Juventus fans used to say when he played for them. There are fans around who have enough brains to actually judge their players objectively.
I am saying what Zidane said. I guess he knows more about himself than you do.Lol this is wrong on so many levels Devilish! Are you saying Scholes was better than Zidane? And who are these Juventus fans and where did they say this (apart from whispering in your ear of course)
I've checked what he said and I think he was fair.Zidane also said Gerrard was the best player in the world and better than Messi and Ronaldo in such words. Basically it means feck all what Zidane said.
Nah that is not the quote I was on about this is.I've checked what he said and I think he was fair.

For 2-3 years he was the best midfielder in the world. Nothing wrong with what he said.
Well I think he's re-igniting the eternal debate of whether players in other areas could or should be considered more TBH. The focus had always been on the forwards. Van Basten was considered AC Milan best player in a team which also had Baresi and Maldini in it. Who was the best player? What's more important? Scoring them or preventing them? That's sort of argument. Returning to Zidane's argument, in my opinion he's wrong in saying that and shows great bias towards midfielders (he was a midfielder after all). That's a common trap legends tend to fall into (If you read Schmeichel's interviews you'll think he used to stop United from ending up defeated all by himself)Nah that is not the quote I was on about this is.
There is lots wrong with it.
Doesn't matter what he meant, Gerrard's never been the best player in the world by any standard or metric.Well I think he's re-igniting the eternal debate of whether players in other areas could or should be considered more TBH. However there's a massive difference between this comment and the one made regarding Scholes. In the Zidane-Scholes debate he compared himself to Scholes and said that Paul was better. That's quite significant considering that legends tend to have great egos and that both players, played in the same role and pretty much in the same generation (Scholes and Zidane are roughly the same age). If you ask me Zidane was the better player however Scholes was far more consistent and effective.
Ah and you can ask around here and they will surely tell you that I am the least person you can accuse of having a United players bias.
