Ancelotti might want to work with him again and Bayern might be willing to make an exception for a new coach.

It's a little hypocritical to blame his Sweden team mates if you also dismiss the impact of playing for PSG in the French League. Can't have it both ways. External factors can't be the cause when he's poor but dissappear when he's good.

Playing in a poor team doesn't help the striker obviously but I agree with @Twigginater. You could see how he might find it difficult to adapt to a higher speed of football.
Played in a shite Sweden team, still managed to be the difference maker and get them a point in game in which they were completely second best. Will do for me, much more than Lewandowski could manage for his side in the first round of matches.

Scored 11 in 13 games for the same shite Sweden side, 3 goals to pull them through the play-off for these finals. So whichever you paint it @Dobbs, he's been top drawer.

Good thing he's performed well for Sweden then, innit? 62 in 113 and 11 in the last 13.

This infuriates me that everyone thinks he's going to Bayern now. He's clearly coming to United.

Andy Burton, who basically relays Jose, came out with the news today that he's off to have a medical. Sky sports wouldn't be putting their head on the line if they didn't know that.

Has Sky Sports said someone is to have a medical then found out that player suddenly changed to a different club. No. Its so obvious right now he's coming here and i just dont know how people don't see that.

Please don't listen to Jan Aage Fjojgrogjr, he knows absolutely nothing. He is coming here. For sure.

He put a cross in after making a yard of space against John Oshea. That does you? It won't do for United.

Like I said, if you're going to point out he was in a shite Sweden team you also have to point out he plays for a vastly superior team in an average league.

Also he hasn't won the Champions League. It's something he might want to accomplish before he retires.

Who said they think he's going to Bayern? Sky Sports have gotten a lot wrong recently and why should it infuriate you?

RF - Rashford
CF - Zlatan
LW - Martial

With Zlatan often dropping into the 10 position and Rashford moving into his position I think this front three could be truly fantastic. This means we would have to play a 4-3-3 formation, which in my opinion suits the players we have more than any other formation.

I don't think you've properly understood the view on the opposite side. If someone is actually claiming that Ibra is neither hindered or aided by what he is surrounded by, then they're talking nonsense. But from what I have read, that isn't the usual line of thought. It's that while every player is influenced by his environment, it still takes a top player to have the season as he has had in 15/16.

Not exactly a medical, but they were extremely confident that we had signed Gundogan last season. They can have a mare every now and then.

And obviously it helps any striker to play in a top team, obviously. Would Rashford, Martial, Rooney score 50 goals for PSG or whoever they buy to replace him... that I very much doubt.

Okay... apart from the Willian transfer... :wenger: But still i'm 99% sure hes coming.

It only angers me that most United fans have a feeling this transfer will not happen, it seems like pessimism is the norm nowadays. It will. Just wait till after the Euros

Since the start of 2015, Zlatan has scored international goals against:

Moldova x3
Iran
Montenegro x2
Austria
Lichenstein
Denmark x2
Scored against Austria and 3 against Denmark. If i'd take away friendlies it'd be 10 in the last 9 competitive games.

Jan Aage Fjortoft said that Zlatan's agent is talking to Bayern, when he is more unreliable than IndyKalia. Now everyone is treating it as real talk coming from SportBild, who are like the daily mail, that made it up.

I understand that point but it's not the opinion I've come up against in this thread. I repeatedly see it pointed out how many goals he scored last year. Without it being qualified that he was playing for a top team in a poor league. The impact of that and any difficulties in switching leagues has been completely dismissed.

Yet the same posters immediately highlight that he was playing for a poor Sweden team. After just one poor performance.

And I also pointed out that he has 11 in 13 for that shite Sweden team @Dobbs, why ignore that?
Because you added it to your post after I replied.

No surprise to see the same posters here again playing him down after he didn't score yesterday. Do you never get tired?

I dont understand what exception you are talking about. Ancelotti was after Lewandowski during his time as Real coach and it was also reported, that one condition for him to agree a deal was Lewandowski (and Müller) staying and not getting sold. http://www.sport1.de/transfermarkt/...-karl-heinz-rummenigge-und-robert-lewandowski

Rummenigge confirmed him that the two top stars will never get sold. "Bayern are not a selling club, quiet the opposite."

There is just no way Bayern even thinking about selling him and Rummenigge stated a few days ago, that no money can prize him away.

Ibrahimovic to Bayern is just a bad joke and I would never believe the attention seeker wannabe transfer expert Fjortoft. He is one of the worst and knows nothing.

He thinks alot of himself. If this is our big summer signing I'd be disappointed personally. I don't think this deserves a saga at all. He's still a good player but having him for only 1 year isn't a big deal. We're still going to need a striker to replace him.

He didn't even have a bad game. One "assist" and some decent target man play when all he was give was long balls.

I think we'd have briefed we weren't interested by now if he'd agreed to go elsewhere. So it's either done (to us), or still in the air.

It's ridiculous isn't it. Zlatan was surrounded by pretty terrible players too.
Guys nobody has said one bad game = a player being overrated. You're arguing against an opinion that doesn't exist.

If anything it's those who immediately have to point out the quality of his team mates that seem a little insecure.

This. I don't understand why people keep giving Twigginater the attention that he's craving for.
You're right mate. I'm sorry for flooding this thread with my replies over and over unlike Man United who literally has made over double the posts in the same thread.

It doesnt have to be. But its pointless repeating the same critical assessments every five pages or so.

We understand that some are worried about his age but you need not tell us again and again.
