I've spoken to my sources and I can confirm that Pogba is indeed a person, and he likes playing football. His future is not certain and he may stay at Juventus but he also might come to us, Madrid or Leyton Orient. But nothing is decided yet so anything might happen.

I cant understand you sad fecks that harp on about the fee being £100m or whatever. Almost like Madrid won't come calling with a £125-150m bid in two or three years time. That vile muppet Perez won't accept us holding on to neither the transfer record or Pogba for too long.

The disease of stupid fans, not realizing football is first a business. You could buy Griezmann and Kante for that sum and improve your team far more than Pogba alone could.
Firstly, your not in a position where you are in control of Manchester Utds finances (unless I've missed something) so do you really have so little faith in the people in charge that they can't manage the clubs money. If there's one area where Woodward and the club cannot be doubted it's financially as we have grown from strength to strength into a commercial beast so I'm sure these commercial men can control the transfer budget.

Secondly, there's not a chance in hell that we could get Griezman and kante for that price. Griezman isn't leaving unless we throw a huge fee at them because he's signed a new deal, is in a club environment he loves, under a manager he appreciates. Kante is attainable but as much as his name is banded about in this thread, he's absolutely not what we need.

Pogba is a unique player and has all the attributes to be one of the best CMs in the world in the next few years and that's forgetting the fact that he would easily be the best CM in the premier league right now and instantly turn us into title contenders and maybe even favourites. The market prices this year have exploded and while many fans might not be happy about that, that's the reality of the current footballing landscape, we can either get on board and throw around our finacial weight here and there, or we can get left behind and miss out on the top players.

I'm not sure I believe this stuff about Real not being able to afford him. It's more likely they just don't want him, surely? Their midfield is nicely balanced.
The theory is that they've had to sell big to buy big over the last few summers and if you look at their In's and out's it adds up.
Madrid wanting Pogba was at it's highest point when they were touting Morrata to the English clubs for 60 odd million and nobody went for it.
Coincidence?

No smoke without fire, mourinho clearly really really wants him. Fits woodwards galactico signing he's desperate for.

If pogba is atleast half convinced we've got a massive chance.

Get the feeling we are going to pay well over his true value....don't think he is worth £100m and his actual value is around £60m max

If we pay 100 million, we'll look back in a few years and think we got a bargain. I'm not worried about how much we pay at all.

How is his true value 60 million when players like Sterling go for 50?

It's difficult to 'boss' the midfield when you have no movement infront of you. Woy got his tactics horribly wrong or the players didn't follow his instructions, either way it wasn't entirely Rooney's fault for not 'bossing' the midfield.
It's not woy's fault Rooney kept giving the ball away either.

You cannot excuse his performance against Iceland. Comfortably the worst midfielder. There was a reason he got hooked. Totally stank the place out

If we can sell Mata, Fellaini and Young for a combined fee of £50m then that may cushion the blow slightly when paying £100m.

True but saying "he's better than what we have so sign him" is also an empty statement.

There are lots of players superior to ours, it's the one benefit of being shit.
Only if you take it out of context like that. I didn't say "He's better than what we have, so sign him". It's not black and white.

The point was "Is X player that we are interested likely to improve our squad?

No : Then we're stupid.
Yes : Who cares what player X costs.

It's pretty obvious I wasn't advocating signing every midfielder that's better than our own. Nor was I suggesting we just pick a name out of a hat and think 'He'll do"

I am not excusing his performance. The whole team was awful, and when this happens it is usually down to the managers tactics.

Given our usual selling tactics we will be lucky if we get a swap for a banana and a couple of pogs for the three of them.

Not too bothered if we do end up paying a crazy fee for him. Him, Zlatan, Martial and Mhkitaryan could be massively entertaining.
