Speculation, but I doubt it. Juve needs as much money as they can get, if they want to fight with the top dogs. They won't refuse 100m now, to only sell him for 70m next year.

I think that Juve is just acting like this, in order to get his price as high as possible. But in the end they will sell, providing that we will offer 120m euros.
If they tried to have an auction for Pogba, they just failed. The price wont go any higher than 100m because no one is willing to offer more than that and they would be fools to reject that kind of money.

How do the latest quotes by Raiola change anthing? It stands to reason that Juventus wants to keep him. It was always going to come down to coming up with a figure Juventus would accept and it could be that they won't sell regardless of the price. The only thing that could force Juventus hand is if Pogba puts in a transfer request and even that might not matter to Juventus.

Reports are saying that we will offer 120m euros. That is pretty much more than what people were saying he will go for. All the talk a few months ago were about him going for 80-100m. Heck, didn't Marota said some time ago that 'if Pogba is worth 100m, then how much is Dybala worth'.

This is where we stand right now in terms of posts:
1. Vidal
2. Berbatov
3. Fabregas
4. Pogba.

We are less than a 1000 posts away from overtaking Fabreagas saga.
What was the total for Vidal out of curiosity?

I really don't want to here something about how Pogba is now off on his hols and we'll hear his decision in two weeks when he returns.
United won't tied up 100 million unless they know they have him.

If Juve says "We'll need 2 weeks to put together our new contract with Pogba...offer it to him and see what he says"... Pogba will stay a Juve.

Hell...doesn't preseason football start this Saturday?

or swap with De Gea when God retires :)
Never. Rather you keep your Pogba. Do you think Juve would be willing to break their wage structure to keep him?

juve are very healthy financially. What they want is to win the CL. I think they will be willing to take a £20/£30m hit to do that.

This is a game being played between 3 parties, us, pogba and juve. We now have a stronger position as there is no competition, hence the threat from juve and raiola to keep pogba. Just like in case of zlatan, when his only viable option was united. I think its just that what will united be able to offer to him and what pogba wants. How far we are willing to go to get pogba. I also think, there will be a player involved going to juve.

I wouldnt be overly displeased if we don't sign Pogba. He is a very good player but the amount of money being banded about is ridiculous. I know it is the clubs money and they wouldn't spend it if they didn't have it but I just don't think it is good value. We would be better off going for two if not three top players for that price. We should be able to sign plenty of top CM's for €60m for example, a fraction of the Pogba fee.

Sneijder is 3rd, Fabregas 4th and Pogba 5th

Pogba is a fool if he accepts to stay at Juve. Lack of ambition staying at a small club in italy.

Surely we haven't reached Thiago. That thread was over 500 pages long.
Hadn't looked in the classics. Thiago was 394 and Ronaldo 515 so this one still has a way to go to reach those too.

So it's Vidal, Ronaldo, Berbatov, Thiago, Sneijder, Fabregas, Pogba as it stands.

Who? Mind you that EVERY name you post would be a transfer offer with no guarantee the other players you mention would want to come to Manchester.

And the odds are favorable that we'd have to overpay for them to come just like with Pogba.

Only 32 league titles, such a small club.
FC Basel have loads of titles. So do Celtic. Means nothing in a country where there is only one good team in the league.

Serie A is shite. Everyone knows that.

Anyone get a proper translation from Di Marzios latest article. Google translate is giving me a warm time

http://gianlucadimarzio.com/calciom...ici-avrebbero-le-cessioni-di-bonucci-e-pogba/
I don't speak Italian, but my reading of the translation is that our offer for Pogba is way above his booked value as an asset, so would be a large net gain. This would be good for shareholders as it might lead to a dividend payout. However, Juve is in a good state financially so they may refuse to sell if the player doesn't request to leave.
