Seriously what the heck is with this day and night cycle. Great news at night and then bad vibes throughout the day.

Are people still honestly questioning wether this transfer will actually go ahead? It's in the bag muppets! Literally no reputable Spanish paper going with any sort of solid story. Some posters here need to take a break from this part of the forum.
If you think Real Madrid don't have a chance then you're just kidding yourself. There's obvious interest there for me it just seem to be a question of fee/agent fee thats a issue. If that gets sorted then Pogba to Madrid will happen, no doubt.

What is not good? We are Adidas' biggest club why would they mock us?

The blah blah blah thing is pointing at when Raiola said:

So basically ignore what he is saying as it IS happening.
Find it hard to believe Pogba's agent would be okay with his client being involved in an advert mocking him.

I hope we have a very good plan B. Matuidi is decent but we have enough "decent" players.

They are also Juventus' sponsors. I just find it a bit odd of them to tweet this when La Stampa, Gazetta DS etc are saying it's just a matter of hours.

Take solace in the fact that if Real want him, they'll still have to pay at least what we're offering. Even if Pogba told us he doesn't want to come here any more, Juve aren't going to want to sell for anything less than they demanded for us. £100m wouldn't cause us any problems, but Real are already struggling a bit financially so they wouldn't be able to finance it without going into (more) debt or selling players. I'm always happy to see them disrupt their whole squad just for the pursuit of the latest shiny thing.

Any of you guys have tweets on the recent Zidane quotes! Feck me side ways! Where are all you guys that said Madrid is nowhere near this deal!? Please tell me Goal made up this quote!

"In this moment we are still working [on a move for Pogba], and I cannot say anything more," Goal.com quotes Zidane as saying. "Until August 31 anything can happen, but today he is not a Real Madrid player and I cannot talk about what will happen.

"I always say how things are, but now is not the time to talk about this. A lot of clubs are interested in Pogba. Real Madrid always want the best players, but we owe Juventus respect, and I can't say anything more out of respect."

That is a much better account of the quotes, Goal.com have used poetic licence to suggest that ZZ and RM are working on a deal for Pogba. When in fact it reads much more like they are working in pre-season. It's just sensationalist journalism in my opinion.

Also why are people starting to get worried about the Zidane comments now? They happened hours ago, only to be follows by Le Stampa saying he's coming to us.

One, Zidane was misquoted. Two, Real have to sell to fund the deal. Three, everything with us is finalised and has been for weeks. Once we agreed the fee with Juve and wages with Pogba, the rest has been Juve saving face etc. This has been done for weeks and Real were never really in for him like we were. The overreaction here is pretty funny though.

2 pages back I was thinking when I get back from work will probably be some good news. Now I think I am going to get back to Madrid having signed him or nothing at all more probably, this cycle is just boring at this point, just give us something concrete.

Sorry to jump in BUT Real Madrid also is adidas and for a way longer time than us.. So basically this ad could be pro Juve, Madrid or us - it just depends on your point of view.

From a marketing perpective, however, this was a brilliant move from adidas since a lot of people and jounos are talkin / going to talk about this GIF.

All going to come down to whether Zidane can get Madrid to cough up the cash.
I don't think Pogba is a moron. He has to realise that Zidane will probably be gone in 12 months (as is the way with managers there), so moving to Real just to link up with ZZ would be short-sighted at best.

Literally nothing anywhere suggests it is a done deal. Not one reputable source.

Those Zidane quotes are being used out of context for sure,

Id be more inclined to believe La Stampa seeing as they posted after the Zidane quotes.

So, what's new? We've always known that Real Madrid would probably be Pogba's preferred destination but they haven't been able to match the fee / wages we are prepared to pay, unless they can sell players or raise finance. Of course, the glacial pace at which we conduct our transfer business gives them every chance of doing this. Need to tie things up ASAP.

Jesus some in here seem really traumatized by Real Madrid. If there was any chance he was going to Real they would have had their usual media campaign to unsettle the player. That as far as i'm aware hasn't happened, theres been nothing from spain beyond made up stories of Italian doctors in Miami.

IF we haggle for ages to reduce costs slightly and Real sudenly come in and sign him in a day .... oh boy.

Probably won't happen, but ... oh boy.

The thing is there's never actually any bad news. It's the handful of people that frequent this thread, continuously spreading doom and gloom, that makes it feel like something bad is happening. They have made this thread unbearable.

Speaking in an interview, the 34-year-old stated: "Everything happened very quickly. A good friend of mine who was running to be on the Barcelona board, Sandro Rosell, had asked me if I'd play for Barcelona when they won the election and I told him that I would.

"I was on the brink of joining Manchester United, there were just a few details to iron out, but Rosell called me at the last minute to tell me that they were going to win the election.

"That made everything happen very fast".

"I wanted to play there," added the Brazilian. "I was going to have the chance to follow in my idols' footsteps. I was proud to play where Romario, Ronaldo and Rivaldo had done. I was lucky enough to become the new Barcelona 'R' which I really loved."

Few details to iron out...
Ronaldoinho had idols and connections at Barca. Pogba has an idol and a connection with Real (Zidane). All going to come down to whether Zidane can get Madrid to cough up the cash.
Barca came in late because they were having a presidential election and had missed out on Beckham. Between that and Kenyon acting like a prick in negotiations making bids he hadn't cleared with the board is why we missed out on Ronaldinho.

In this case they don't have to. ZZ is their trump card. He's in contact with Pogba and he's Pogba's idol. It's a matter of if Juve would negotiate a lesser fee with Real or just our warchest of cash.

La Stampa who are very reliable and super close to Juve have said so.
La Stampa have said it's done. As wel as another Journo close to Juve. Can't think of his name right now. You're wrong.
La stampa said we will finalise not that it has been finalised. The deal isn't done. and about 200 sources the caf has agreed are reliable have already said similar.

This saga is like a drug. I've not had any highs since the first breaking news, but I keep coming back in the hope that I will get that high again.
