Would it be a bit strange to announce the deal with Pogba still on holiday? Don't we usually wait for them to come back to do all the media stuff?

far out, the deal isn't officially announced and the telegraph already have a story

For £100m it would take something extraordinary to avoid failure at Manchester United
DON'T link to it. But this is the BS we are getting even before confirming players now.:lol::lol:

People underestimate the effect of having one superstar in football

When I grew up I idolized Beckham, and he happens to play for United. Long after Beckham retires I'm still a United fans. So don't underestimate the effect of having one Pogba to our fan base in the grand scheme of things.

I may not bought a Beckham shirt at that time due to being a schoolboy, but I'm 35 years now and over the years I have contributed to the United brand. Now imagine how many people will start following United due to their favorite player joining us, and once you're converted it'll last a lifetime.
I was obsessed with Paul Scholes when I was 8 and fell in love with the club as a result. Now United will always be part of my life as long as I live.

It'll be the same old hyperbole coming from the British media once he's announced. It happened with Martial too. Knob heads in the media desperate to be the first to predict we'll fail. I'm sure the likes of Jamie Redknapp, Phil Thompson, and Grame Souness can't wait to give their unbiased opinions.

How are some of you even questioning if it's on

Adidas released Juventus advert without their most marketable player by an absolute mile and then put him in a Manchester United advert

Some of you are still worrying, incredible.

Simon Stone is the guy who covers United for the BBC. He is in China right now, so maybe thats why BBC are not saying anything yet. He hasnt confirmed it with his sources yet.

Onda Cero just said the Pogba deal will be announced in a matter of hours. Guess this is nothing new though.

I think we can assume that if its not announced by the end of today, that was bollocks and we are back to square one. But I'm sure it will be.
Not really. Some people did make a good point about tomorrow being all about Zlatans debut. The articles said should.....so then we might be looking at monday. We certainly won't be back to square one. It was never definite...

I really doubt we'll announce anything. Great PR to keep things rumbling along while the Pog enjoys his holidays as planned.

Congratulations on Pogba, great signing, and strengthened an area you really needed.
Nice to see an oppo fan not being salty on this.
To be fair at least now Manchester derby's are definitely going to be better than the last couple seasons from both our point of views. Already feel this is going to be a fun season.

NYC - Not of your concern
Mixed feelings here.
On the positive side: Great player with also great potential due to age, will add different characteristics to the squad.
On the negative side: Really expesive player, price not adjusted to player's value, a kick in the teeth to Sir Alex that let him go, very big ego which I hope won't be a problem t the manager and rest of the squad.
All things considered, I will be happy when this saga ends.
