Incorrectly predicted the de Jong transfer 2022
This can't be announced today as NYSE is shut, right? roflcopter.

I don't think it matters. This can't be announced today as NYSE is shut, right? roflcopter.
I thought Madrid would come in for him. I still think he would have gone if they had, even at a slightly lower offer. Very pleased to be wrong. Please, can the naysayers show their faces now? Even yesterday I saw a "It's so obvious Madrid will take him or he'll stay at Juve" fecking hell.
Hamsik, if he hadn't just signed a new deal.So which one of Raiola's clients should we get next? Kenny Tete, RB from Ajax?
It's entirely irrelevant. This can't be announced today as NYSE is shut, right? roflcopter.
It's 2009 and we just signed him from Le Havre.According to Howard Nurse, Pogba is a United player no more, having agreed to sign for Juventus on a free.
He hasn't posted because we chucked him out.
Funny how he hasn't posted here in age and yet remains one of the most memorable aspects of the entire thread.
@GambitHamsik, if he hadn't just signed a new deal.
I think signing Pogba at this stage in his career beats all those ones we missed out on.This just makes all those painful sagas worthwhile for me.
Fair enoughHe hasn't posted because we chucked him out.

Don't worry mate, this will be announced in 48 hrs.Hopefully this gets announced Tuesday just in time for him to take part in my draft match scan votes should be off the scale!
I guess everyone got what they wanted, at the end. Only, perhaps, Mourinho would have preferred to have him join up with the squad earlierSeems like it was all about Pogba's holiday all along. Everything was postponed until his holiday was over.
This thread and saga is the equivalent of a 70s band live drum solo.
Technically impressive in parts but oh so boring, long and predictable. I walked to the bar 600 posts ago.
There is definitely a psychology paper to be written on the various types of thread personas we have in here.
Based on what though? By all reports, he wants to come here. I don't dispute the pull of Madrid, I do however dispute the idea that there is NO circumstance whatsoever where any player would favour United over Madrid. Obviously rubbish.I thought Madrid would come in for him. I still think he would have gone if they had, even at a slightly lower offer. Very pleased to be wrong.
I'm not worried about the swooping in just fitting that I have him in my team just after he signs for us.Don't worry mate, this will be announced in 48 hrs.
Surely Real Madrid won't swoop in with a bid this late in proceedings?

We need to resolve this dispute once and for all.
Sorry, meant "particularity" of the deal and not nature, what I meant is how complex it seems to have been to draft. It doesn't seem totally impossible to me that they would have included a suspensive condition clause in the agreement, seen it done for deals of higher value (not football players transfers but commercial deals). Why are you so adamant they wouldn't have signed the agreement without the medical taking place beforehand? What nature of the deal?
There's no way a transfer agreement and player contract get signed without a medical having taken place.
Would you say Emerson, Lake and Palmer? This thread and saga is the equivalent of a 70s band live drum solo.

Because there's no reason for it.Sorry, meant "particularity" of the deal and not nature, what I meant is how complex it seems to have been to draft. I'm not one to care for grammar but this is pretty bad for anyone over 8We're almost there. Ed finally catched his POKEba. Cue that gif from @Olly.
Middlesbrough Emerson, Paul Lake and Carlton Palmer?Would say Emerson, Lake and Palmer?
That's true. Hope we smash them and lay down a marker. As much as this transfer excites me, I find it hard to focus on knowing we re playing Leicester today. I really want us to win that game. Perfect opportunity to make a statement. Announcing Pogba would be the proverbial cherry on top.
