Well done everyone, it's been a journey that's for sure. Like a long haul flight with turbulence, then hours of calm, then more turbulence, only to hear a whisper from another passenger that the pilot has collapsed and his co-pilot has never landed a plane before, then to find out that it's bullsh*t and that the pilot is fine, then a bit more turbulence and finally the pilot announces that we're just an hour away from our destination and the weather from here on in is perfect.

What a thread it's been.

I agree. Let's hope we keep him happy with trophies for the next 5 seasons.
I don't think we'll be his last big club but if he could stay for 4-6 seasons and win us something it'll be great.

90M... for a player that left for next to nothing... Mmmm...
Anyway, ignoring the rediculous transfer fee.. He's the best young prospect in Europe but he's not the finished article yet. Certainly needs to improve his tactical decision making and positioning. Hope he's diployed more as a box to box midfielder rather than as a holding midfielder as he was at the Euro's.
Well said - though I think that sums up about a week of this crazy thread rather than the whole thing!

We made a mistake in managing him and he left us. Now he's made himself one of the best midfielders and we've fixed that mistake by signing him back. That's all there is to it :)

I would almost certainly say that will be the case. He was shackled in that defensive role and I think Mourinho will be smart enough to play him in a role which best suits his current strengths.

Paul Pogba-Manchester United: a done deal. The player is not yet in Manchester, is now with his agent Mino Raiola and tomorrow, together, will arrive in the morning in the city. There the French midfielder will support a medical and will sign the contract that will make him back a United player.

Pending the press by the two clubs, these should be the figures of the transfer, with a three-year payment: 105 million plus 5 bonus. The 5 million bonus to Juventus could materialize if in 5 years Pogba will make another contract renewal with United or will be sold by United for a figure of more than 50 million. These conditions and these are the figures of the operation, but the final figure should then be deprived of the part that will be up to the agent Raiola for mediation in the operation.

Mourinho will not use him like France did.

Thats great imo. Back to back CM with a lot of freedom in his play.
Aye, he specifically said a "second midfielder", which apparently to him means a boxtobox, or one that goes forward, didn't he namecheck Lampard and Scholes?
Yes. He said one that has good defensive and top attacking qualities and that he is a type of midfielder that we don't have.

Funny how Juventus fans are having a go at him

They got him for €0, they sold him €100m and he has been a key player for them in their best 4 years. But still they are disrespecting him like feck, one guy even hopes that he breaks his leg in the EL :houllier:

Talking about a classless bunch

Reality must have hit hard there that a player will still comes to us despite them being so successful in the last years. Ah well EPL>>>>>>>Serie A, and Mourinho>>>>>>Allegri, maybay they will realise that now

If it all goes well and we get back to being genuine CL challengers I think we will prize him out of a move through ridiculous wages like we did with Rooney.

Don't get why Juve fans are getting so upset they will still win the league and have made us overpay by 50m.

As for us , forgetting the rediculous fee and letting him go for free, he's just what we need in midfield and really makes a statement about our financial power and ambitions.

Many of them are wishing Pogba failure. I don't get why they have so many negative feelings towards him. We knew Cristiano Ronaldo wanted to go to Madrid but we still loved him after he left.

As much as I hate Real I would love to see them go all in for Dybala next summer.

God I hope so.

Debate about the release fee, His brother, the united fan narrative, past tweets about about United.... the saga is ready to go

Especially since they were lucky to get him for peanuts to begin with. Now we're bringing him back when we realized me made a huge mistake, take it on the chin you ungrateful cnuts.
