After a couple of weeks of "48 hours" do we think we are finally into the last 48 hours before this is 100% official, done & over?

You mean apart from calling the Etihad Stadium "Emptyhad", Liverpool "Bin dippers", Benitez "The FSW", Arsenal "Arse" etc.? Yes, you are the only forum ;)
Well that's a shame then. I came to my impression that way because I usually never come a cross such which is why I asked the question.

if it happens then it must not be as prominently as in those other forums. An example to this is that I've through many threads from "RAWk goes into meltdown", "Bluemoon goes into meltdown" "Tuz goes into meltdown" etc, basically thread were other team and rivals are talked about and I don't really recall such prominent and bitter name calling.

It might happen here and there but it's not as prominent and default like setting the way some forums call us("rags", "ratcafe" etc. You'll be hard pressed to find posters on BlueMoon simply refer to us as man united fans, it's always "rags", same thing with Tuz these days where er are called "ratcafe")

but still shame to those in here who has such mentality but at least this place is half decent compared to those other forums.

The tuesday stuff is Mourinho just saying that that's when they'll have training. Tomorrow a day off after the game today I take it, or maybe just for Pogba while he does medical and stuff, but then training tuesday.

Didn't Mourinho/Di Marzio say he'll have no problem be official by Tuesday?
I think it was a comment taken out of context. It should be all over tomorrow and then this thread can be sacrificed to the gods...

Think the medical and contract signing is set for tomorrow, and then we'll probably also see the announcement sometime tomorrow. Mourinho's is talking about training on Tuesday. Or are BBC and Sky reporting that the medical won't take place until Tuesday?

'tis a silly place
My impression is very different. I read them very often. This place is more heavily moderated than the Juventuz forum where almost everything goes, but let's not pretend that this place is entirely a home of noble, respectful debate.
Compared to other forums is certainly is, and that's presumably why a huge number of rival fans - including yourself - choose to post here

I think BBC and sky are going by mou's comments that he cant wait for tuesday(Tomorrow is rest day for all the team). I think the medical and contract signing will be tomorrow. I would trust di marzio more than anyone. We will see him training For the first time on tuesday.

Question is, if he starts training on Wednesday is it likely that he'll feature vs Bournemouth or make his debut at OT vs Southampton?

I'll be sad to see this thread locked. It has provided many laughs, along with ups and downs.
It's been emotional, a few may need to look at themselves especially at times when things got hairy with the madrid interest.

Without naming names a few may need counselling!

Haha. Sorry, man. Just since we had a little bit of earlier banter about the quality of the thread or lack there of I thought I'd lightheartedly try to get you involved since we at last had something positive and of substance to discuss. No big deal.
Ah, I see - nothing to be sorry about, I was probably drunk at the time.

I said that it is more heavily moderated. I like that, that's why I post here and stopped posting at Juventuz ages ago. But it's not like people here do not react bitter to other clubs (or a certain referee) or make up childish nicknames. The main difference is that the people who run this forum have a stricter approach when it comes to moderation. If they were more on the laissez-faire side this forum wouldn't look much different. And of course, there is the newbie system...

It's not much of a reason to get on the high horse. Just like pointing out that most fans on an English Juventus form are not actually Italian is not a reason to get on the high horse when you support one of the most globalised clubs in the world.

Anyway, the ooint is not important enough to me to spend so much time on it. Good night!

This thread will hopefully be locked forever tomorrow. Pogba, Jose, Woodward, the agent ... all of these people played a role in getting this deal done.

However I would like to pay tribute to the real heroes of this transfer - the muppets of Redcafe. Years of failure, hurt and mockery did not dent your belief in the slightest, when called upon you (we) wrote over 1000 fecking pages within a few short months, even obsessing when we went days without any solid info. Good job ladies and gents, I for one salute you all :p

Victory at last.... I never wanted Ronaldo, Sneijder, Vidal, Fabregas, Ronaldo, Thiago, Ronaldinho, Ramos, Bale, Ronaldo (again) anyway :wenger:

£89m is a good fee. He's as sure a thing as it gets, one of the best midfielders around and built for Premier League.

I agree. Let's hope we keep him happy with trophies for the next 5 seasons.

Please never ever forget Thiago, that one was the worst for me, as it seemed so close.

90M... for a player that left for next to nothing... Mmmm...
Anyway, ignoring the rediculous transfer fee.. He's the best young prospect in Europe but he's not the finished article yet. Certainly needs to improve his tactical decision making and positioning. Hope he's diployed more as a box to box midfielder rather than as a holding midfielder as he was at the Euro's.
