I remember when he was linked to Arsenal. There were reports that it was a done deal too. I'm glad we got him.
He was on the verge of signing for Liverpool. Thankfully picked Dortmund!

Hahaha yeah that was me.
I didnt even know what he meant by labelling me ".... another Mad Winger" until I googled it.

At the risk of annoying more people, I feel pretty sure this would be the case.

And officially, the only change Jose is responsible for is getting Mkhi into the weight room to add some muscle (a reported 4kg increase) to his frame.
Its been a positive move as he's obviously stronger on the ball and now rarely loses possession, whilst still maintaining his speed and endurance that he was known for. So a thumbs up to Jose for that.

But, I still feel that he could and should have played many more games regardless of his weight. I say this because the players chosen ahead of him game after game weren't giving us much.
An underweight and perhaps inconsistant Mkhi would still have given us a few moments of brilliance to affect a game, not to mention a few assists.
The thing that Mou took longest to realise was Carrick. Partnering him with Herrera and getting Pogba further up the pitch had got the team motoring. Miki was probably managed in the correct way considering its his first season and he picked up an injury. He really is an awesome player and we got a deal from Dortmund.

In Smalling's pocket (as every other person)
Mourinho has made 2 very important signings with Pogba and Miki, they will be fundamental to us playing fast and attacking football at a high level in the coming years. Enjoy Zlatan for a one or two years more, get Martial to his old level and try to replace Carrick and our future looks bright.

Yeah Lingard best attribute is his movement, although his technique is not bad, it's pretty solid IMO, it's just Mikhi has so much more to offer
When Miki is on he is unplayable. Opposition defenders must brick themselves everytime he picks up the ball.

The lad is going to become a superstar.

Also I was in the stretty yesterday. The reaction when he went over to take a corner was one that I haven't heard since Ronaldo in his peak. That mix of respect, admiration and expectation. Was good seeing him acknowledge it too.

Already getting a Ronaldo type applause after only 10 or so games is premature

But the noise when he scored was nothing like I've heard before, it was not the usual noise after a goal, it was like a screech because of the style of the goal
Did you not see the applause Ronaldo got on his debut? that's one game in. Theres no such thing as being premature when it comes to showing appreciation for a player.

Had no right to score that, incredible. I feared the worst after his display v.s. City and his prolonged absence from the team, but he has returned with a bang. He is an exceptional player, he is the kind to put fear in to the opposition when he is on the ball akin to the likes of prime David Silva, Xavi, Iniesta etc.

Didn't see the result or highlights till about 6am this morning.
My 3yr old and I genuinely stood up and applauded in the front room.
Magical, I love this game hahaha

What a touch we had in the Summer transfer market, arguably bought the four best players in their respective positions in the league.

Outstanding work by the club and Maureen.

Maybe Mikki can get the #10 when Rooney leaves at the end of this season.
Its not for sure Rooney will leave. Its going to be a hell of a transfer window in the summer again. We are going all in for Griezmann and I think its going to happen. We are already deep in negotiations.

From all reports I'd actually be surprised if Griezmann doesn't join us this summer.
My only concern is where Jose will put him as he is best as the SS

I haven't heard anything about Rooney leaving, but I believe it's in his best interests to do so.

We've had to put up with watching some proper rubbish players in our team over the last few seasons. A player like Mkhitaryan is understandably going to get fans excited.

I really hope we don't switch to 4231 (it's something Jose really prefers). Current system is where we can get the most out of Pogba. But hearing that he's after Bakayoko (destroyer type to replace Carrick) and Griezmann it looks like we might. Pogba would be playing in 2 man midfield with Bakayoko covering for him and Griezmann in #10/SS. Not sure that's the best idea, that didn't work that well for France on Euros...Pogba was so limited playing further back. Building around Pogba is way to go, we need to bring players to accommodate him, not other way around. Griezmann could play what Martial is playing now (LW drifting inside), and play it better (he played that at Sociedad)...but what happens with Martial then? Cover for both Griezmann and Ibra? Ibra will be 36 next year after all, we can't expect him to play as much as he is right now. And (hopefully) we'll play CL, which means more high level/intensity games to play...Martial to slot at CF with Ibra fading in that case.

If we keep 433 and if we want an option on the left then going all out for Alexis Sanchez (in case his negotiations with Arsenal about new contract fall through) would be my preferred option over Griezmann. Just turned 28, entering his prime, PL proven, would slot perfectly in that slot, can cover multiple forward positions...he wouldn't be outrageously expensive either since he's in the last year of his contract. Him making runs inside to be fed by Ibra and Pogba, switching around with Mkhi...we would automatically become PL favorites and CL contenders.

I rate him very highly and have for a long time, but where would we play him, assuming we'll continue with the 4-3-3? He's more of a second striker, no?
You're still in the Mkhi thread. He is more of a second striker yes but can also play up top, more as like a false 9 than anything else. If we had him mkhi martial and ibra next season we would need a complete destroyer to compliment pogba in the middle.

In seriousness, he was early and very sure about Pogba and his claim to insider knowledge is plausible enough. If he gets Greizmann right I might just start to believe.
It'd be more believable if he pulled a player out of the blue, not one that everyone knew about. Anyone can tell with some degree of certainty we are after Griezmann, it's been going around in some form for months now.

Why do you pretend to be "ITK"? Why lie for attention? You don't feel weird about it? Me, you and most others with half a brain know that you do not have information other than the one the media provides you (that is clueless until briefed) about Man Utd-transfer.
