I think we will just have to disagree on that. I thought that in his first 10 odd games he was very touchy and aggressive. Did a lot of complaining, blaming and saying how we are the unluckiest team blah blah. Pretty much everyone said same old Jose, just did what he did at Chelsea.

Frustrating draw yesterday but tbh that's the type of game that we'd have lost in seasons gone by.
After 20 games, we're second and have more points than we've ever had at this stage of a league season so not too much to be dissapointed about. Also, we've kept 5 clean sheets in our last 8 games. Previous to that it was 5 clean sheets in 30 so we're going the right way but days like yesterday happen to all teams. It's how we react that will determine where we finish this season.

I think the 'I can't say anything' is because he expected them to win & was going to unleash some mind games pressure in the direction of Chelsea before the game at WHL. He had prepped this with the ''we are only 6pts back despite you winning all the time'' pre match stuff.
I don't think he's losing the plot or anything just that the loveable zany Klopp schtick was a lot harder to pull off in the circumstances & he would not be negative about the team because he wants to drive the momentum - but couldn't really do that either in the circumstances of a 2-2 draw at Sunderland.

With Mane going to AFCON, Sturridge injured, and a pretty shaky defence they may lose a couple of points in the coming month. We are now only 5 points after Liverpool. The game at OT will be huge.
Its so transparent, he comes across as a bit of a bore, but then does a big smile and does something depreciating.

You lot and City/Arsenal/Spurs play in the CL/EL and all our top 6 games are almost done. THEN we should be better placed.
All of which are the teams most depleted by players going to the ACN.

I'm not moaning about the fixture list as I love the Christmas schedule but not all of the teams are in that boat. The last three games for each team in the top 6 in the last week fell/fall on these days:
Chelsea - Mon - Sat - Wed
Liverpool - Tue - Sat - Mon
City - Mon - Sat - Mon
Spurs - Wed - Sun - Wed
Arsenal - Mon - Sun - Tue
Utd - Mon - Sat - Mon
Liverpool have had the least amount of time between their games so Klopp is entitled to not be happy. With that taken into account, 7 points from 9 is a very good return. Spurs and Chelsea have it the easiest out of anyone

He actually made a good point, in that they insist on playing games 2 days after the previous game, yet the fans in the country where the games are taking place can't even watch the game on TV.
By this reasoning then, all the sides in European competition have a right to be annoyed most weeks when they, unlike Liverpool and Chelsea, don't get 6 days between most league games.
He's not entitled to be unhappy because he failed to rotate any players to try and freshen it up.
I think this is because he genuinely thought you'd win it easily as it was only Sunderland. My evidence for this is what he said in his pre-match press conference which was along the lines of 'we know what we need to do to win and we will win'
none of this would be an issue if they took 3 points. He refused to even understand or analyse the game, like it was a write off
He said after the game that the players were asked if any of them couldn't play against Sunderland due to tiredness, and they all said they were fine.
He looked a bit knackered himself in that interview. I don't know why he's so upset though. Looking at points alone he's doing better than any other Liverpool manager has in the Premier League era.
Hopefully, it means he has higher standards.

7 points out of 9, one of them a six pointer ensuring we can't finish out of the top two by the end of it, should be enough for Klopp to not lose his rag.
The cup games couldn't have come at a better time. Lots of time to rest until our proper next match against Southampton in 8 days time. Boy do we need it.

We've taken 13 points out of a possible 15 from our last 5 matches - Boro A - Everton A - Stoke H - City H - Sunderland A - It would have been a tough ask to have expected maximum points from all 5 games irrespective of how much rest the players had enjoyed between each game. Klopp's probably a bit frustrated at us not being able to see the match out the way we did against City. Still a long way to go, but unless Chelsea do a serious nose-dive then it's hard to see anyone being close to them come the end of the season. Our style of football may be more attractive. But Chelsea's - up to now - has been more effective.

That's one way of looking at it, another is that if Spurs win, they'll be just 2 points behind you.
You're as close to 6th place (5 points), as you are to 1st, Spurs winning could well be a blow to your chances of finishing in the top 4 come the end of the season.
Spurs winning isn't ideal for anyone. The competition for top four has never been this fierce.

I reckon by the end of Feb it'll start to look a bit more clear.
For comparison: Arsenal sat 1st in the table with 39 points at the halfway point last season. The top five this season are all ahead of their tally.
Last season the narrative was the competitive of the league and the strength of the middle and lower half.
This season it's all about the Top 6.

The scouse have got a tricky period now with United, Chelsea and I think Spurs to play. If they fail to win at least two of those fixtures they could find themselves fighting to stay in the top 4 as opposed to looking at how far off top they are.
Could prove to be a huge 2 points lost, especially with Chelsea away at Spurs tonight, you guys could have been really close.
I get the impression that he knows there is a chance to win the league and you don't get those every year, especially as now the league is so competitive.
