To be honest I do think we need to bring the gap in European cups down to 4-5 for me to feel truly happy about overtaking them. The gap of two for some reason just looks insurmountable, but only one would feel like a matter of time.
It was either FSG thread, post match Leicester or the Klopp tactics one. It's a minority's viewpoint. What thread are you looking in? Might have a look over there, could do with some entertainment.
For anyone wonderingI think so. It was either that or the one about each footballer bringing an animal along with them.
They are top of the 2015 league table, Rob. Who needs the August-May league when you can be top of the January to March league? If there weren't a massive conspiracy the league would run in the calendar year, and then everyone would see that Liverpool were the best. If there weren't a conspiracy, shots that hit the post/bar would count as goals, or the goals would be bigger, and then everyone would see that Liverpool were the best. If there weren't a conspiracy, finishing 8th would be rightfully rewarded with a CL spot, and then Liverpool would win the CL with ease. Everyone knows the only reason Liverpool didn't win the CL, and only managed to win one group game, at home, with a late penalty, against some dodgy Bulgarian side, is because Brendan Rodgers, being the tactical master he is, had to concentrate on the league so that they could get into the top 4 to again qualify for a CL that they weren't going to win because they'd have to focus on finishing top 4 to qualify for the CL. Again.
And it's clearly a massive conspiracy that Skrtel got banned for an obvious stamp on De Gea when Rooney didn't even get a ban for being pushed, by Skrtel, into Mignolet. Also, how do you explain that Herrera, who's Spanish, got stamped on by Gerrard, who isn't Spanish, and then De Gea, who's also Spanish, got 'stamped' on by Skrtel, who isn't Spanish, and Mata, who's also Spanish, scored both goals that made Liverpool, who aren't Spanish, lose, are all Spanish? And that Sterling, who isn't Spanish, might move to Real Madrid, who are Spanish? And that Sanchez, who moved from Barca, who are Spanish, chose not to go to Liverpool, who aren't Spanish, but chose to go to Arsenal, who are managed by a Frenchman, which is exactly what Michel Platini, head of UEFA is? And then how do you explain that Liverpool, greatest side in European history, get knocked out of the UEFA Champions League in the group stage? And how do you explain that Sir Alex Ferguson, the perpetrator of this conspiracy, is an anagram of "Señor Fix Resulag" which is almost "Señor Fix Results" which is clearly what he is called in, you guessed it, Spain. His name literally tells us that he fixes results, and no one does anything about it.
Thanks Well done @Alex99For anyone wondering

Looks fake.Liverpool jerseys on sale for £5 in a charity shop in Newry. The Scouse have clearly had enough
Donald?Looks fake.
Good research, thats basically the Liverpool concensus. Some think FSG are good because financially they are stable and all that boring good stuff.Spent the last 24 hours nosying at their FSG thread, they really are in a civil war.
Caught between desperately wanting to join us at the high table once more, buying players like Pogba, but not wanting to admit it.
"United have grown organically, why cant we?" for example.
Well guys:-
30 years ago Liverpool were 80% as big a club as United, now they are 50% as big, so that perch, its ours now. It will remain ours, for at least 40 years, because you cant even keep domestic talent happy anymore.
- Explosion growth is like the last bus, once you miss it, you get that sinking feeling inside. You know it will never happen again. Your mates gone home with a fit bird and you are walking 5 miles home.
- You're 20 years too late (if not 25), At this moment in time we are STILL growing faster than them. That "explosion" growth is no longer available to you.
- As much as you may mock some of our expensive misses (Falcao AdM etc) you realise that means regardless of "on the pitch" - we are still seen as a "super club", Zlatan, for example, wouldnt have gone to the dippers.
- FSG put FSG first, the "only" way Liverpool can get back to the top table is by rolling the dice financially, even then any progress is quickly erased by bigger clubs cherry picking your best talent, like a bigger version of Southampton,if you like.
WRONG!Donald?
Another post from the failing LFC-Fans. My posts are never wrong, they're the best posts, they're fantastic. Everyone loves my posts.WRONG!
Should've bought them to save anyone else the indignity of owning them, then used them for toilet paper or burned them.Liverpool jerseys on sale for £5 in a charity shop in Newry. The Scouse have clearly had enough
Accepting the bust cycle?Didn't Klopp state about a week ago that we have targets already set and in the works and that having CL shouldn't matter to most of them?
Now that we likely won't have CL let's see what happens.
Isn't that a bit revisionist? It appears, what journalists are saying is Klopp passed on some targets like Draxler because he didn't feel they were worth the cost and wages. All well and noble from Jurgen saving the club money, but a few more seasons of not going anywhere he will leave those savings to his successor.
4 games... hardly a key player. Title winning squad member hardly makes you a winner though. I shouldn't have been sucked in by the unbelievable levels of scouse delusion thinking they had bought a Champions League winning playerits true apparently. played a few games for bayern in 12-13
Everyone needs something to wash around the toilet bowl I supposeLiverpool jerseys on sale for £5 in a charity shop in Newry. The Scouse have clearly had enough
LaA pound for each 'time'.
Thanks, i meant no offence btw, just my take on it.Good research, thats basically the Liverpool concensus. Some think FSG are good because financially they are stable and all that boring good stuff.
But then there are others who have had enough, and just want the instant success. If that means a Sheik buying us out so be it.
and peoples views change depending on how well the team are doing, if we're doing well its "FSG are great, look at how much United have spent and we're still above them in the league." If we're not doing so well its "Well, we have the 6th best team in the league, we are where we should be. If we want to be at the top we need to compete with the big boys financially."
Thats all there is to know, nothing has changed since FSG's takeover. Those are the only two views on the subject.
So, having calmed down a bit from my furious rage at the team after Monday night (apologies mods for calling them 'wimpish pansies')...
Game raising c*nts is all theyve shown to be thus far. Too many false dawns.
Football never had a soul.Football long since lost its soul, so surely you have to have the idea "if you cant beat em....." etc?

6 years on and doing things the right way, the sound business practice way, isnt working. Why? because whilst football is big business these days, there are so many intangibles to it. Take ,for example, your sale of Sterling. Was he "worth" 49m?, no, but "partners" see that sale as indicative of your new "place" in European football, a stepping stone, if you like. So the truly big players like Samsung/Chevrolet/Adidas etc want to be associated with success AND a certain "bullishness".
If i was in charge at Liverpool i would be totally conflicted as to the way forward, United have spent 500m and aside from the last 4 months are no further forward. That kind of investment is beyond FSG, at least in terms of the willingness to spend that kind of money. They spend the money and they may get little reward, see us, they dont and they'll never again be fighting to be top dogs in Europe.
United can keep spending till we get back to the top, Liverpool's owners dont have that luxury. I feel that, inside 3 years, they will bail.
