Bluemoon goes into Meltdown

I'd give my left nut to get a cheap penalty on Thursday and watch that place implode.

It's because a billion years ago, when we were skint and could afford new kits they were in pretty bad shape, and City loaned us some spare kits(the rivalry was very friendly while City were the successful club).
Thank you, interesting story. Couldn't imagine that happening these days.

Was the ref as bad as they say, or is it just a made up excuse?
Didn't get to see the match or el classico cause of work yesterday :(

They got a goal disallowed that should have stood but it was really tight, and a tough decision to make.

Possibly could have had a penalty but so could arsenal so whilst I'd be pissed if it was the other way around corruption is taking things just a smidge too far

Please just let us beat them on Thursday. Sales of tinfoil hats will go through the roof

Copied this from Rawk, city fans have to be the most rubbish fans in the world but don't worry this one here has the reason.
Cockles and mussels? (Molly Malone song) Is that a veiled reference to Irish fans going to Anfield and Old Trafford at the weekends?

Hold up..They're getting organized..

"I would gladly lose out on 4th place if we could do some sort of protest. if on Thursday the ref starts his antics I would encourage Pep to take the players off the pitch. forfeit the game if need be. we have to make a stand sooner or later. I will renew but there is no way I'm going to away games just to fecked over. 600 quid yesterday for a game that was decided before kick off and well away from the pitch."
:wenger:

Wait..what?
"all complaints have to be away from the football industry which is proven to be corrupt, blater and platini, all the way through to cheating corrupt officials. I thought maybe a complaint to the race relations board, because of our muslim owners, with video evidence of all the cheating against us. a complaint to the police with evidence of this season might be also another place to go. maybe complaint to the court of arbitration in sport. maybe a group legal action against the fa by a group of fans as we are all victims of institutionalised CHEATING. BLEATING ON HERE IS GETTING US NOWHERE. FOOTBALL IS AND HAS BEEN PROVED TO BE CORRUPT. I know there a lot of highly intelligent motivated professional posters on here who could get something going"

Come on lads, who was it? No way is this a real actual persons legitimate post.....

Genuine question here but have they been massively hard done by this year?

There's been times this season I've felt like it's 6 years since we got a penalty and all the calls were going against us.

But then you think back later on once you've calmed down and realise we've also benefitted from a couple of handy offside calls and what felt like an invisibility cloak over Rojo for a few weeks!

Surely they aren't so childish and one eyed to think there's actually a proper, genuine conspiracy against them? Surely?

I have never seen a more insecure group of fans. I keep expecting someone in there to at least say, "Calm down, there clearly isn't some global conspiracy against us, because that's stupid", but they're all buying in to it.

None of them can even seem to come up with a legitimate reason as to why the FA/UEFA/The Rag Media would give even the slightest enough of fecks about them to bother screwing them over yet they're absolutely certain they are.

Bluemoon sees that a bit different. They say that the club gave us really old kits that were pretty much 'rags' at that point, on purpose.

That story actually gives me some hope. I had always assumed the tag came from some red jersey "on the rag" type childishness.

Even Ya Ya is getting on on the conspiracy act! Imagine if Pep had come out with this in a post match interview, they'd be a heavy fine. How can he get away with this?

Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure would prefer to play "without a referee" in Thursday's derby with Manchester United after criticising the standard of officiating in the FA Cup semi-final defeat by Arsenal.

Referee Craig Pawson ruled out Sergio Aguero's first-half strike at Wembley.

Replays suggested the goal should have stood and City went on to lose the game 2-1 after extra time.

"I think the referees have to stop this," said Toure.

"I am very disappointed. It is not the first time, there have been a couple of times.

"Maybe on Thursday we are going to have a better referee or maybe play without a referee - I'd prefer that."

Officials ruled that Leroy Sane's cross had gone out of play before reaching Aguero.

The Argentina striker later did score to put City ahead but goals from Nacho Monreal and Alexis Sanchez sent Arsenal into May's FA Cup final, where they will meet Chelsea.

Defeat means City's focus switches to the Premier League. They are currently fourth but United will leapfrog them if they win on Thursday.

"It is a very big game, an important game," added Toure.

"We have to do that job and we will see what can happen. We hope we are going to have a good referee."

I wonder if the shirt they lent us also had three stars on? It would have been great to be part of the European elite just for one game.

This one made me laugh..

''SAM ARMSTRONG'' - And Maureen's 'mind games' begin early for Thursday's game .....
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...d-injury-news-Paul-Pogba-hobbles-Burnley.html

What's the betting that, right up to kick off, Jogback's pronounced 'doubtful' only to make a miraculous recovery and declared fit to play at the very last minute!!! To be honest, I hope he DOES play so that our midfield can rings around and humiliate him!!

World's most expensive and therefore best player (in the minds of their scum supporters & the rag media anyway) .... my arse!!!!

Every single post on there is about how the result has already been decided, how they are going to get kicked about with referee doing nothing, how the FA and United are using the media to print stories to destabilize their preparations and sow discord in their camps (they are even making up headlines that they feel will be published), soon and so forth. Even the sanest person has to resort to drinking a bit of conspiracy Kool-aid to look good amongst other numpties. And they don't trust any single one of the referees too.

How did they win those two league titles with this major conspiracy against them?

I used to know an Arsenal fan who told me that the only years when 'there was no corruption in the Ferguson league' was in 1998, 2002 and 2004... Imagine that. The only years without corruption and they just happened to be when Arsenal won the league. Makes you think doesn't it.

When I asked how the Ferguson league conspiracy explained the outcomes in 1995, 2005, 2006, 2010, 2012 etc, he struggled a bit to explain that it has to be said.

Imagine you were never able to calm down and be rational, there you go.

How does Bravo not conceding a penalty and not getting carded for a 2 footed tackle on Rooney in the 1st derby fit into the ragspiricy?

If I seriously thought the league was fixed against my team, i'd stop watching football full-stop. They don't genuinely believe this, it's a weird coping mechanism - they are furious and bitter and they need to lash out at something or someone, and obviously, it would be sacrilege to direct the anger at Guardiola.

So there has to be a scapegoat, someone to blame to help them get through it.

The English press had an agenda against Bravo from the moment he signed so he was pressured by the rags-fan-media to do that. United's own fault, and Rooney dived. Or something.

Ha! I'm aware that this is a 'take the piss out of City' thread but as you ask....

In two of City's most important games this season we have been absolutely stitched up by referees, Chelsea at home we were denied a stone-wall penalty and Luiz should have been sent off. Spurs at home, denied a stone-penalty which would have seen them reduced to ten men and a pretty certain three points to City. Both games were pivotal. But it isn't just those decisions its the immediate yellow cards against City and the almost uninhibited fouling of the likes of Silva going unpunished, the yellow card given to Sterling when he should have got a penalty...etc. Imagine, Chelsea having three less points and City having five more, the league would be a different kettle of fish.

Conspiracy against City? Do you know what? I'm not sure, it does seem as though in every big game we suffer from refereeing decisions, Sunday being the latest example. And, these things don't even out.

And, as an aside, there are threads on here criticising referees for their decisions affecting United. Honestly, the mind boggles that Utd fans think they are hard done by this season!

3 less points for city with bravo getting sent off in the derby? Swings and roundabouts my friend.
